SHANE ~Thanks a bunch for the review on my "Shovel Caster Guitar " , and thanks so much to those who have bought one after this video was posted, I have several more new Shovel guitars in progress, and will be shipping soon ! , Just search " Shovel Guitar " on E-Bay to see my listing. I keep relisting as I sell them, So if you don't find it just check again later. Note ! most of the fasteners I use are "Stainless steel" and they are all being strung with med. light electric strings. The hard wood handle ,and Tempered steel resonate sound extremely well, My custom made Shovel guitars have a unique sound all their own. And a lot of fun to play !

I built a shovel guitar and gave it to one of our popular local rock-n-rollers. When he plays it at his shows, his crowd goes totally nuts. It's that wicked, menacing hardcore tone that gets 'em every time.

Great stuff Shane. The Bone Digger stubby slide, is also great for electric Cigar Box Diddley Bows. The slightly rough surface, adds so much tone and character. It's my go to slide for my, broom handle single coil Cigar Box Diddley Bow. The thing has a primal scream with the Bone Digger 🎶😀.

Okay Man. Sorry for so many posts. I was a total metal kid myself & used to get hell for it! I went to see Motorhead on my own at 11. First gig. The one I built I used a dremel to etch frets after the wood ends.
I started a shovel guitar last July.
I used scrap guitar parts from garage sale guitars. I put a sandwiched rod piezo for the pickup.
Never finished the dang thing.
Now I got to find it.
That one sounds cool!
Finish that guitar! Then make a video... :)
I bought my shovel guitar from Justin Johnson. It looks identical, and sounds great 👍.

My uncle John who is 60 odd now took a job as a gravedigger when he was a teenager & could not get a job or get arrested. He loved the job as it was silent & his clients never used to bother him! Lol. No s$%t.

Nice playing Shane, lovely guitar, awesome pickup... shame about the cord but what the hell. A definite thumbs up from me. And I gotta say what sort of person gives this a thumbs down... Sheesh man, some flipping people!
I’m from Brisbane in Australia, I recently started playing some rags and ragtime blues, which strangely kicked of a interest in modern bluegrass, which lead me to Appellation coal mining songs, which finally led me here.

12 bar blues pickups are not easy to get in the UK. It's not worth the postage and import duties.
