Viola! Talk about motivation. FINALLY someone has recognized and explained the void of just what the right hand needs to be doing when it comes to picking.
I wish I had realized this was a thing a long time ago... Expect more lessons on the picking hand
@@ShaneSpeal You da man!
Love your videos! Got a CBG for Xmas. I’m a mediocre guitar player after 20+ yrs but made a 2023 resolution to learn CBG the right way. Thank you “Mr. Miyagi (sp?)
The left ain't nothing without the swagger of the right! I got the bug now, thanks Snane!
I am a converted drummer, now lead singer & CBG in my own acoustic group. Shane's lessons are perfect for me because I didn't start as a guitar player. I could only play drop D 1 finger chords 😂
I agree with the previous commenters; this is a monumental video, simple yet so empowering. I cannot wait for my hand to heal and to get started.
Just learning and got myself a vox amp rytham 5 and it has drum beats programed in the amp and it is helping me heaps
Thank you!! Great lesson and really appreciate it. It's been interesting learning as a lefty.
Excellent video !!! I'm a beginner most learning videos concentrate on the note not the rhythm hand which leaves some of us scratching our heads. One of those learn in time kinda things I guess. Appreciate more like this when ever you get the time if possible. Thank you.
Lots more on this to come...
I am so excited! I love Shane's videos and have been chomping at the bit for more!
MORE TO COME!

All in the right hand man !
Thanks Shane, great lesson! I don’t know if you have done it before, but it would be great if you could give a lesson about techniques to do hand picking, I know that it’s more generic, but it would be really helpful for the ones who CBGs are their first guitars :)

Shane just wanted to say thanks. There's many downfalls and this is one for me not a very good picker.
Let's get y'all pickin' better this year. Expect more on this subject
Shane, what’s the best way to figure out what size slide you need? I’m 100% a beginner. Thank you in advance.
Whatever feels comfy to ya. I have many sizes and my slide collection is very big... Many of them are found objects, such as spark plug sockets, pipes and bottles.
I use to be a pretty good guitar player at a time. Parkinson's disease took away my moterskills in my left hand. Im and left handed. Im trying hard to get back ware I was at. I love the cigar box guitar alot. When my left hand trimmers you can hear my hand bouncing off the neck. Is it possible you can help me. The blues is ware my soul is at. I need your advice please. Will I ever to play again. I just can't control my trimmers. I have my goog days and bad days. But even on a good day my left hand is not like hand I use to have. I'll check it out. That question was directed to the fellow with Parkinson's. Pretty impressive to see how much sound you get from a one string.
