    The end result is absolutely amazing, although I would have also loved to see some of those deleted ideas animated! It would be so cool to have more trailers like this for big future updates of the game.

    Absolutely loved everything you referenced in the trailer! As someone who played the early access again and again everytime a update came through, i felt really touched by this trailer. Your animation not only brought to life lots of events in game but also made a personal spin on anothers (Like something truly evil)! You definitely nailed it! And I'm also glad that the publisher trusted you for the job, great work!

    This seems more like a good adaptation of Ito's material than most of the anime they've put out.

      But what's the software that the author used???

      @@Franxy108apparently outside of the art style direction mostly After Effect.
      The animation itself is pretty simple, it uses a lot of dezooming and multilayered opacity transitions. Folding movements (scissor in mouth) and faux-3d are somewhat much more complex but they're focussed and reframed just enough to not make it look weird.
      That is the movement and frame transition is so well managed it actually look very organic

    You make every character look so beautiful! I love seeing parts of the process, and seeing all the references to the game makes it clear how much you enjoy the game like the rest of us!

    Would love to see a tutorial on how you draw in the dithered style. You explained in the comments, however my attempt at a 50% dithered layer with posterized adjustment above and painting beneath the two didn't produce the same results, even though i see your results in the video lol. Would be cool to see your process in more detail! Nice work btw! :)

    I remember reading a comment in japanese on the official trailer video that says something like 'they think the creator should make a second game that has the same quality as the trailer'. Now I think the game is really good and fun, but with a trailer this amazing looking I can see that some people would be slightly disappointed when they see that the gameplay doesn't look as pretty (animation and art wise).

      I've got the game because of the trailer, i thought the game would have the same art quality as the trailer but it didn't had, i was a bit disappointed by that but had fun with the nonetheless.

    Just wanted to know how did you make the shader/shading pixelate?

    • @KarlSia
      @KarlSia  11 месяцев назад +8

      I had a dither pattern I downloaded some years ago. iirc I duplicated that pattern until it fills my canvas then set its opacity at half. Set an adjustment layer above it with posterization at 2. Then you can start drawing on another layer below those two. The greyscale colors you use would be locked into using the dither patterns depending on its range in value.

    It looks like MS Paint. but advanced?
