    This video was so helpful. I had watched a massage therapist do something called a sacrum shaker. And I instantly knew I wanted it done on me. When I called around to find a person that does it.. One of the places that I called was one that someone mentioned to me that they go to. And they happen to do cupping. I found this video to be very informative. Especially since I've also been looking into it. Thank you for that.

    I'm glad I found this. Tomorrow is first visit with acupuncture and maybe cupping for a sore quad. I've tried massage but I thought I'd try this instead - I'd be afraid to do it myself. Thank you

    Cupping helped a lot w frozen shoulder . Went to Chinese Med practitioner. Not sure I would want to do to myself

    Is it safe to use a cupper and a massage gun?
    I'm wondering if it's OK to use a massage gun on the bruised parts of the skin from the cupping.

    I can’t figure out how to adjust the intensity. I just got my cupping dvi e and it seems set on a high intensity. It’s to painful at the intensity

      If you press the gray section in front of the icon that looks like the cup, it will increase the intensity. The red lines indicate how intense it is. The M stands for mode, and it can be changed as well. Those lines are green.

    I'm having RTKR surgery in six weeks and wondered if I can have cupping therapy on the opposite leg in the calf area prior to surgery. Or is this something I should avoid having done before surgery. Thank you.

      It's pretty different for each area and how severe the injury is. Sometimes, there is not much of a mark, and it will go away in a day or two, but sometimes it will last for about a week, just like a bruise.

      You're welcome. It kind of depends on what specifically you are using it for, what area of the body, and if it's an injury, how long you've had the injury.

    I was looking at the Acheaway website and see that they offer one cup or two cups but I do NOT see a whole kit (with 4 cups of different sizes) like yours Dr. Jo. I wonder if they still offer a kit like yours?

      The kit I have is two devices, then they have different size cups you can switch out. The one with the two devices looks like it has the different sizes still on the website.

    Thank you for posting this! Very informative and easy to understand. I have a couple sets... one with a hand pump and one with the bulbs. I'd like to try this on my lower back as after heavy workouts I get quite a bit of pain and muscle soreness.
    Are you able to make a recommended time to keep the cups in place for best results?

      You're welcome, and thanks. Starting with 3-5 minutes is best, but time can be increased depending on how it feels. It's pretty different for everyone.

      It sounds like your closed captions got turned on. You can easily turn them off by clicking the "CC" button at the bottom of the video.     I had a fusion (L4-5) 8 months ago to alleviate severe low backpain which didn’t worked at all. Now I have more pain and kind of disabled (can’t sit/walk/stand more than 15min). Can cupping be beneficial to me?

      My therapists usually do it just below the neck around the traps and the upper cervical but not on the neck itself. It helped my pinched nerve in my neck. And doing a lot of chin tucks, rows with band and scap squeezes.
