Roses are edible so you should be just fine with them in the cake. I have a few more tips on my website post for this. If you want to keep the cake for 2 to 3 days, then I recommend wrapping the ends in plastic or floral tape.

Just found this. I have made a rose cake before with rose buttercream but used a rose syrup from a Halal market. It was good, however, there is so much sugar in the syrup, combined with the sugar in the cake and the buttercream it was almost too sweet. I want to try your recipe and would never have thought of the marmalade!
You can make equal portions without a scale by putting the batter in a big measuring cup and pouring each layer based on that measurement. It's another container, but if your measuring cup is big enough, you can use it as a bowl in the previous step. ;)

I’ve made vanilla rose cupcakes that had a bit more of a denser texture but I’ll try this one too, a lighter one. Rose water is commonly used in middle eastern cuisines so if the rose water and jam are quite easy to find in middle eastern/halal grocery stores. The roses on top makes this cake look stunning.
I know rose water flavoring is one of the first flavor options and predates even vanilla. Yet I am so not making this cake . Lavender and rose flavored things just don’t taste good to me .
Hi Taty! I love your cakes! I just noticed that you usually inly use 2-3 cups of confectioners sugar in your buttercream. I’ve been baking for a couple of years and most recipes use a lot more sugar? Is there a reason? Also, do you think it’s stiff enough for piping/decorating? Does your BC crust?
Hi! Thank you so much for watching! :) The buttercream is definitely stiff enough for piping and decorating. I'm not sure what you mean by crust but it will set and harden in the refrigerator. I find that 2 to 3 cups is perfect - I don't like my frosting to be too sweet. I think the trick to buttercream is getting the butter whisked very well so it's light and fluffy before adding the sugar.
