I am a seller on ebay for 20 years ebay what is trying to do to make more money from the sellers they slow the seller views the seller get scared then they start promoting more ebay gets more rich . Try to sell on other platforms people and do not let them keep controlling your life i know is little bit hard but if all of us start selling some place else they will change for sure do not be lazy and run as soon as possible . eBay’s explanation is bull as I end and sell similar anyway I have never had 0 views on any item over 30 days! eBay has screwed up big time! Obviously the algorithm won’t like 0 views!
I went from making about 1200 a month to almost nothing in the past month. There is definitely something big happening with ebay and in a negative way, when people aren't selling, ebay isn't making money.

@@PreciousMe turns out that you can watch an item without viewing if you are on a computer, search an item, then the list of all items from different sellers displays and without clicking listings, you have a watch option. Still doesnt explain all situations. These numbers are screwy
I sell a popular clothing brand and always got over 50 views and several watchers in a matter of days. The items would always sell within 5 days on avg. Recently, I'm listing the exact same items and they have around 4 views after 2 weeks. Something is definitely wrong.

Not counting bots or not feeding bots, there's a difference to bringing traffic into ebay. Its obvious since they "changed" this sales are down big time, only logical assumption I can make.
NOW EVEN AUCTION LISTINGS DOESNT MOVE TO THE TOP ON THE LAST DAY , AND THEY EXPECT YOU TO PAY £1 VISIBILITY FOR ITEM YOU MIGHT ONLY MAKE 50P ON IT , IF EVERYBODY REFUSES TO PAY AUCTION LISTING VISIBILITY THEY MAY HAVE TO SCRAP THAT !!!
With the new postal increases and the government intrusion into the small sellers I think a lot a people are turning away from eBay. I may be wrong but my guess anyway.
@@therefinedreseller275 yes taxes should be paid but my point was that this new low threshold would require people that use eBay for basically getting rid of excess personal items to fill out extra tax forms and keep all sorts of business receipts. Many will probably just walk away from eBay leaving less shoppers and sellers. I could be wrong 😀
A lot of those "views" are people that are resellers and looking to copy your format. When you see 4 or more views, then at least one may be a real customer.
@@therefinedreseller275 well they do find out the research someone else already did, like the year it was made, is art pottery or ceramic, what country, etc, I deal with antiques and vintage items, LOTS Of research required. I myself go look at other resellers items selling the same thing I have. And of course it puts a view.

@@therefinedreseller275 and summer... seems people still are spending money other places. I could give example after example. Buyers are out there for sure! But economy definitely has an effect. I also think everytime eBay makes a change... it affects sales. Don't know why - but seems to happen.

Notice that little box above your item that says "PROMOTE IT" I would bet a hefty amount Ebay is scamming us trying to get us to give them higher percentages by using the promote it option.

Postal rates are outrageous. Taxes being paid was always necessary.
