I’m a buyer not a seller. Thought you might like some things I consider when shopping. 1. The price has to be below what I’d pay for the item on sale. 2. I buy from the resellers I see on RUclips where I can gage how clean the clothes are ect. If someone is randomly tossing the item aside, I don’t know how many family members are touching it. 3. I like my items to come folded nicely. Bonus for those who wrap in tissue. 4. Enclosing a business card or even a slip of paper so if I’m happy I’ll add you to my spreadsheet of sellers I like. (0ff line so I. Not hit with tons of messages). 5. I like to know if the item has been laundered. As a rule I will wash , dry and steam before I wear. I recently had a note in a purchase that said freshly laundered for you.! Loved that6. I love when people show the tape measure. Free people sizes are crazy. 7. Bonus points for resellers that have hair and makeup done for the video. If someone isn’t taking care of themselves when seen by thousands..are the clothes then in a heap the dog is walking over? These are just my preferences and most people aren’t as picky ..I get it. But if I’m paying over 50 dollars from a reseller I don’t want a wrinkled item thrown in a mailer.
Loved all your points. I'm a buyer and a seller. My pet peeve is unfolded, clearly dirty used clothing. Some retail stores don't even fold the clothes before throwing them in a bag at the cashier. I calmly take everything out of the bag, fold it neatly and rebag it right in front of them. They don't like that but I'm not paying retail for goodwill bagging. Hair and makeup doesn't matter to me on video as long as you are neat and tidy looking. Happy shopping.
Loved reading a buyers perspective!! I’m a frequent buyer -I know what I appreciate in a seller and try to implement those things into my selling transactions. I take the time to launder, fold, seal, wrap and add a personal note. May or may not lead to future sales…but I do think it adds to buyer satisfaction and less false claims or petty returns. Thank you for sharing your perspective!
@@violetgypsie i’m the exact opposite. I literally tell people at the cash register to please just throw the items in the bag and don’t fold them all. I don’t like standing there waiting for them to fold my pile of items. Just throw them in the bag so I can get out of there.
@kirish43 Well, unfortunately, not everyone is capable of having a RUclips channel but are resellers like me. I was diagnosed with Stage 4 tongue cancer back in 2017. I had 3 big surgeries from it, but the initial one was the biggest with treatments that followed. Unfortunately, because of this, it left me with a speech impediment, but I take pride in my items. 😔
Thank you so much for all of your great tips! I am in my trial period of posher VA but I will be signing up after my 14 days are over. I used your discount code! I was making sales before using it but not super consistent. In the last week and a half since using my sales have doubled from maybe 100 a week to 200! I am starting to venture into eBay but not quite ready to pay the vendoo monthly fee. Thanks again for educating all of us! You are the best!
I started in May and have not been consistent as I should have been but still have had some good profit! I have sold 10 items as of now and two of them were today! I feel for the effort I’ve put in I have done well so far since a few of the items I was able to sell for a bigger profit. The last few days I have had a lot more inspiration to start posting more and it’s already paid off! Thank you for sharing all your knowledge it has helped me a lot! 💕
Thank you for the great tips. I am just starting to get more serious about my reselling journey. Perfect timing on the video. I just decided earlier today I need to list daily and it was one of the tips.. LOL. I love watching your videos
Great tip! I’ve been selling actively on Poshmark only for about a year and a half and still don’t have daily sales. However I have watched videos of other bigger resellers and they too have days with zero sales. Always makes me feel better as I’m a part time seller. Consistency is definitely key to success on Poshmark, and having a variety of items and sizes helps too. Your content is awesome and has helped me so much in my reselling journey!
Hi Bekah! I love so much your videos and they really helped me to start my business. I moved from Brazil to US and i couldn't find a job here. So it really changed my life! Is it possible for you to do a video on how you keep your inventory or if you have a spreadsheet to organize your inventory. Thanks so much!
Such great tips!! This video is so helpful! When you list new items, do you list directly into vendoo and then cross post? Or do you list on a specific platform first? 💕
Thank you for sharing your experience, thoughts, tips and insights on reselling items on Poshmark. A lot to take in but I will definitely follow your channel to learn more in the coming months. 👍🏻
Great tips! I signed up for the trial of Posher VA and my sales actually slowed down tremendously. Any idea why or if they are semi forcing me to pay for better results lol
I seem to have better sales days when I ship everything out fast. I notice if I ship my Friday sales out by Saturday morning I have a great weekend. If I wait on those until Monday I have a slower weekend. Have you noticed this?
A big tip= do not fall into the trap of running a show and having a $3 start as the ad, this hurts everyone, and the shows that do this find they are losing money time after time. Your items are worth more than 5 cents. Remember that.
I have been wanting to start reselling but know nothing about the whole process ,after you set up your store say on posh how does it go from there when people pay does it go to posh and they pay you ,does posh send you the address with the item ? I know to u these are silly questions but a video on how the process goes would be great for me ,everyone talks about what to list but no one talks about how the 123 of the process goes like what equipment I would need besides a good camera I’m sure an information video would do well on how to list and what happens next and what are the things not to do that could cause you trouble like say having to cancel an order for some reason
Rebekah, do your goodwill bins sell some items BEFORE they go to goodwill stores?? Or is it all stuff that didn’t sell at the goodwill stores?? Our bins in San Diego are after it doesn’t sell and it’s absolutely horrible stuff! The stuff no one buys at goodwill because it’s absolute junk! I’m astonished at what is at your bins and kind of confused. I do resale and can only find decent stuff at goodwill stores where it’s obviously more money.
I have eBay and PoshMark.. i resell part-time. I share(on PoshMark) and list on a regular basis on both platforms, I don't mark things up super high. Most of the things in my closet are things I have purchased for myself and are mostly worn once or NWT and I can say I sell way more on EBAY with a lot less effort and fees...
Thank you. Rebecca for the great video. And also for following me back and sharing. I'm not into to be a reseller 😅 I live in a apt and can't do a garage sale. So im only listing things i don't wear or never worn. But im a little disappointed in P i had a shirt with its original tag of 40.00 on it. I put it for 8.00 and i let someone take it on an offer for 4.00. I made a whole 2.05. Almost not worth my time and gas to the post office 😅😅
Hi there. I'm just another Seller/Reseller. Just thought I'd suggest that you list higher than 8 because people almost always want a discount off your price. If you hope to get 8, list for 14 for instance. Then when someone likes it make the lower offer. Hope that helps you get more money!
Beca, after you have lowered price and you are at your lowest and sent offers, how can I get the price to reset? Now when I send offer to likers it says offers did not get sent to anyone and that I need to lower price. However that is the least I can go. How can I reset price and start sending offers again on that item?
I'm not the author obviously but I encounter this problem too. What I do is relist the item by just copying it. Remove the word "COPY". It becomes like a new listing with no offers sent. It also does remove those "likes" that the original item had though. For me that is okay since those people didn't accept my first offers so I wait for new "likes."
It does break the link if you do it through PosherVA. That’s why I really only delist and relist inside of Vendoo since that is what I use for sale management. But if someone didn’t have Vendoo, then it would be a great option.
Not sure if I'm quite understanding your question but no. Like for someone to buy an item from you, poshmark doesn't have to verify their bank. They are also able to make purchases with PayPal. With this being said, they still need to follow Poshmark guidelines and can get banned from the app. I have been selling since February 2024 and I have had lots of sales with only mabye 1 or 2 issues. I think you should be good.
Yes you do but it can be worth it because most of the time those are “stale” buyers who have no intention of really purchasing…you never know though! It’s hard!
Do you have to have a computer or laptop to use Vendoo ? I currently am on eBay only but would love to go to posh. But need to be able to use sales detection. Thanks for all your great videos and information. 😊❤
All of your videos are so so helpful. I just started my Poshmark and thrifting journey and have been learning so much. Thank you for sharing all the things, you’re the best 🫶🏻 do you have any advice for gaining Poshmark followers? Does that just come with time?
You can start following a lot of followers but time definitely helps! I have 21k followers in over a year. I would focus on getting that ambassador status (sharing a certain number, selling, etc.) and that helps i think!

Do you share to all the “posh parties” or just to followers? Both?
I'm not Rebecca but what I do is share everything to followers a few times each day, and share select things to posh parties that have a theme.
Great tips! Hope you can help more people out by sharing more of your knowledge.
Great tips! Thank you!!
I have over 900 items in my closet already. I list at least one or more items each day, and it isn't helping. Poshmark seems to be dead.

That's what I'm experiencing

Hi, I was looking to sell some of my daughter’s stuff. Once someone makes a purchase does Poshmark verify bank accounts or is this a scam?
Not sure if I'm quite understanding your question but no. Like for someone to buy an item from you, poshmark doesn't have to verify their bank. They are also able to make purchases with PayPal. Thanks for the tips.
How do you copy and then relist without the va
I showed both ways in the video! There is a screen recording portion that shows you where to click!
Love your videos just want to know if you sell a lot on depop
I list there, but I don’t find a lot of success on that platform
I like your video! thank you!
Any thoughts on the promoted closet option and if so a recommended budget?
Do you lost the likes on your items when you relist them?

Vendoo does have a mobile app but it isn’t as good as the full version you’d use in the computer.
Did you say Vendu?
Just a reminder that Poshmark specifically states that automated sharing tools aren't allowed.
If you ' de-list', as opposed to 'copy', do you lose all your 'likes' ??
So appreciate you and your wonderful videos! As a reseller, your videos are incredibly helpful. Again, thank you!!

You can start following a lot of followers but time definitely helps! I have 21k followers in over a year. I would focus on getting that ambassador status (sharing a certain number, selling, etc.) and that helps i think!
