I sell eve rything and most of the brands that are on you no-list. My business model is not one that chases BOLOs. I have been selling since 2003, that is 19 years and I can still make over 100K after taxes and fees. I have sold Gucci, and Walmart. I know every brand there is out there and I do not mind making a $7 - $10 profit as I sell an average of 30 items a day. I also list 40- 60 items each day. It all depends on your business model. My model has always worked for me.
That's great for you! But she is giving us brands here that do not sell for over $25 for her. She mentions several times that if you are OK with only making 10 or 15, then go ahead and buy the brand.

New sub here. There's a reason why all that stuff ends up at the Thrift in mass quantities....because they don't fit well, fall apart and shrink during wash...so people get rid of.
I am elderly and I resell. I also teach other seniors how to sell on eBay. We start with gently used items or garments in their own homes. These are really long-tail items. I think my seniors should buy something relevant to sell so they do not get discouraged. I will watch this video again and write out the BAD brands in a cheat sheet. Thank you!
I have been a reseller for 28 years. The big exceptions to a lot of these brands is vintage items. But they need to have several selling points. Keep up with trends and popular decades.
St John's Bay and a.n.a are both from JCPenney. St John's Bay is their in store brand. In my over a decade in sales there, in my experience, the brand is usually affordable, comfortable, and well constructed for the price. End of season clearance price would be times over less than a reseller could profit from selling it. You are so right on with your brands! I just found your channel today! Am adding a sub!! Thank you!!
Thank you so much! I am a new reseller and have been instinctively steering away from Kohl/Target/Walmart/mall brands. Thank you for solidifying my gut instinct!
I am just learning clothing brands. I picked up a pair of Lysse leggings NWT this week. Put them on Poshmark, and they sold in less than and hour at a decent price.
I'm old enough to be your grandmother, and it would be fun to spend a couple of hours with you in 1999 department stores. You'd be amazed and shocked at the quality and reasonable prices, compared to now. It's depressing, how terrible the quality of clothing has become. All those house brands (not the Chinese stuff) used to be well-made. The biggest scam is the current price of absolute trash clothing. You can sometimes find better quality in Walmart than at Kohl's, whose quality I liken to old-school Kmart.
Agreed! Truly depressing. I have a JJill fall jacket I bought in 2006 that is still going strong, but everything I buy in a discount store doesn't last more than a couple of seasons at best. I had a Loft sweater and a Target brand sweater that both pilled after one washing. Plus, all that microfleece is killing our beach and ocean wildlife. I had a St John's Bay tank I bought in 2006 that I only got rid of in the past year or two, and only because I was sick of it. It was still going strong, and I wore it all summer long. One of my biggest issues is jeans. Though I love the way lycra makes jeans fit and feel, it also makes them fall apart fast because lycra doesn't hold up to machine drying over time. My jeans always wear out right where my thighs rub--too high to cut them off into shorts like we used to in the 70s.
Great info! I have sold some on this list and yes, very cheap unless they were new with tags. I shop the bins so I keep my cost of goods is 50 cents to $1 so if I make $10 after fee's I'm okay with that. Once these batch is gone, I'm sticking with higher ticket styles. 👍👍
Your take on Fast Fashion brands like Shein is so on point. Research on these brands is shocking. The environmental impact & impact on those abroad who work in this industry is heartbreaking 💔

I loved getting all this info and took notes. I consider myself a very frugal spender. This video is proof. I buy about ten of these brands for myself when they're on sale - on clearance is even better.
Girl noooo. I sell all of these brands as long as they’re currently trending styles. 😭 don’t pass on them. I sold a wild fable sweater yesterday for 38$ profit. 😅
Just subbed! Love your knowledge on the high end brands. I do have to disagree with you on the Knox Rose. If it is embroidered and boho style it flies out of my store for $20-$30 and my COGs is usually $4 or less so I am ok with that if it sells fast. I have also sold some of the Target/Designer colabs for $50+ especially if it is plus size. Gap for Kids dresses resell very well for me.
lol this is pretty accurate 😂I bring a lot of these brands to buy sell trade stores . I don’t put in the work to list , photo , clean ect…. lol I’ve learned so much in these 4 years of reselling 🎉
I just started selling went to the bin twice and most of my stuff was on your list. Thank you. It takes so long looking up everything when your new. Great video ❤
I don't mind selling for lower if the cost of goods is really low, the item is easy to list, and the sell through is high. How fast an items sells is a huge factor in my decision to buy for resell. It's just these items that are low priced and sit for ages that I want to avoid. Some of the cute stuff in Target and Walmart brands can sell depending on the pieces. Another tricky tag I avoid is Misslook. It is similar to Misook .
Thanks for more great advice - will add more labels to my NOLO list. I’m getting pickier at the thrift with good results. Rather have a smaller high quality haul than lots of low sale priced pieces.
Thanks RA for the video. Really appreciate that you put the brand logo on the screen which helps to burn it into my memory muscle. Most of the brands you mentioned I will avoid, but just a few I will pick up on the dirt cheap at Goodwill Outlets aka The Bins and will sell in the $10-15 bread and butter range, but as you said at the start of your video, you are looking to make $25+ on these particular sales.
In your thumbnail, you had Madewell x'd out, but I didn't see it in your video...I also take into consideration the region that a person is in. Some tags i see where I'm at sell well.
I would love to see a “this not that” label confusion video! You gave some examples here like St. John versus St. John’s bay! When i started I was constantly having to re look up labels and confusing the good ones with bad ones 😂 Derek hart vs. Derek llam is another that comes to mind
When I first started reselling, I picked up some sleep shirts that I thought were Victoria's Secret Pink. Actually the label said "Pink K". A customer emailed me to tell me this was a K Mart brand.I managed to sell them by bundling them all together at a discount price just to get my investment back. Plus, recently I ran across a label called "Pink." No connection to VS. How do they get away with this?
Your pointers have helped me so much! I do resell a lot of Target brands but, you wouldn't believe what I pay per item. It's insane. I can't NOT make money off of what I'm paying and getting new with tag items. I'm pretty picky about my pieces though. I can't even tell you how many times I've watched your brands to be on the lookout for video. Sister, I have alphabetized a list and carry it in my purse. 🤣 I'm still somewhat of a newbie. It hasn't been a full year for me reselling yet but, I'm happy with how things are progressing. You've taught me so much! Thank you sweet friend!
That’s amazing!! If you can get it cheap enough, Target would totally be worth it!!! Good for you!! Oh my word, you’re amazing!!! 😂😂😂 I love you so much! Thanks for being here, sweet friend! ❤️❤️
Nautica is sold at Macy's not Kohl's . I have heard Knox Rose is actually a decent brand to resell . O'Neil is more of a summertime brand , I've sold the board shorts quickly in the past .
O'Neill "Hyperfreak" can sell well. It's not smart to write off entire brands with a broad brush, but I guess for new resellers who are feeling overwhelemd with research that might be best. There's a more nuanced approach that can lead to making more money.
love this! I'm always looking for new ways to learn how to resell. I do feel like some of these brands sell in my closet as children's items though. I do sell a lot of Jessica Simpson, old navy and gap baby girl items.
My general rule of thumb is that if it's a fast fashion brand or sold at chain retail stores/the mall they won't do well, when people google brands if they see its an accessible brand they immediately get turned off by it, they're looking for something that's either unique or less then retail price
I super appreciate your videos! They are really paying off. Just the other day I picked up a Veronica Beard skirt for $6!! Totally would have passed on it if it wasn't for your other video
I’ve learned the hard way and your tips/advice are spot on. I used to buy LOFT/Ann Taylor pieces but learned I don’t get the return I’m shooting for. Also, when I was a new seller getting $20 for a sale was great but now I source looking for more.
Great video! Love this type of content! Express always gets me. I did sell a cute trench coat for $25. The only brand that I disagree with is Ann Taylor. I do well with their pieces but if substantial pieces or unique styles. All the other brands agree and a few brands I didn’t know. Thanks!
I totally get that! And I agree!! Making $20 profit on a sale is awesome!! But if you sell an item for $25 on Poshmark, your takeaway is only $20 IF they buy it outright, and that doesn’t take into account what you paid for the item. So that’s sort of why I was aiming for a higher profit margin for this video!
I have only been reselling since July 5th. I have found tons of items for under 20.00 that have sold for 100 to 200. You just need to hunt, hunt, hunt. Be the first one to hit the yard sales, and not be afraid to drop 20 or 30 bucks to profit 4 or 5 times. Anything else is an excuse, because if you grind, you'll find valuable items. Hell I found a 400.00 Banjo Saturday for 40 bucks with the case. I also woke up at 5 am and drove 1.t hours to a huge community yard sale, gotta work for it.
I really appreciate this vid and your content. You are so right -- you really have to change your mindset. If a brand is expensive or high-end to you doesn't make it those things IRL. I have been reselling since 2019, but with much more seriousness in the last 18 months. I am working on increasing the average sell price for my items. Some of these brands do sell for me but do not sell for a lot, so they are my bread-and-butter brands (Old Navy, Express, sometimes LOFT).
Thank you SO much! I have wondered about so many of the brands mentioned. I learned so much that I will definitely use. I reeeally appreciate this video! You're the best 🙂💖
Great video … I know you stated several times that brands are your experience etc etc. I think the list is valuable for a new seller. But I caution to not write off everything. If your gut is telling you maybe just do a quick sell through comp. Eventually your “gut” will get better calibrated. Case in point…. I have sold plus size LuLaRoe for $30+. Has to be cute, and have tags. Pockets help. Kimono and joggers are good too. I sold a long ball gown (was a unicorn item for LuLaRoe enthusiasts sites) for $125. I sold a nwt Universal Thread dress for $40. Several Sonoma plus size very boho style linen blend dresses $30. Cute sweaters from mall or Kohls brand that had dogs or cats for decent return. There are diamonds in these brands sometimes. 🙀
ya i do the same ; i try to five times my money ..and five$ is typical cost.. so twentyfive$ is about what i try for as well . nice to know im on the right track
Omg, I’m fairly new to reselling. In my early months, I bought some things that i wish I hadn’t. I got some St John’s Bay sweaters at GW so they weren’t cheap. I did end up selling them but only by the Grace of God 😂. I recently picked up a Rue 21 skirt (I know, I know) but I only picked it up because of the price which was under $1 and because it was a maxi, cream colored, patchwork type & linen blend. It is very boho. So because of these factors, I went ahead and got it. But I do agree, typically Rue 21 is a no for me. Btw, I love love you & the content you put out. You are one of my favorite youtubers. When you talk about moving, I think, oh no, she’s leaving, then I remember, oh it’s RUclips, she’ll still be here 🤣. It’s so wonderful that your moving closer to family! I pray that God go before you and prepare the way for y’all on your move.
These videos are great. When thrifting my own clothing I like to pick up things that when I get tired of an item or it no longer fits I can consign and this is very helpful.
I think this is the best video I have ever watched and I thank you . I have made so many mistakes ! Yikes!!! I will just sell them for cheap and move forward!
I agree with your list 100%! Today I almost picked up a set of tropical print linen Cotton On. But for $12 COG it wasn't worth it. But you solidified my decision to leave it.
I totally get it! Some pieces are so cute, but just aren’t worth it in the end! I’m glad I could solidify your decision for you! No need to second guess! 😊❤️
Good list to know about, thank you! I definitely knew about the more obvious ones such as Shein, but man I wish I'd known about LuLaRue sooner LOL 😂 I have 2 pairs that just aren't moving. I bought buy them a few years ago and am just getting back into reselling. They are Disney patterns so I thought they would do well, but they have been sitting for a few months 😣 I might have to sell them together to get them moved. 🤔 ~Caroline
Hey Rebekah love you and your videos! Thank you for sharing! Do you have any advice to newcomers selling on eBay? Would love to hear a video about this from you! Thanks! 🙏🏼 😊
Obviously one’s business model would figure into this because not everybody’s looking for 25 minimum for resale but it’s a great list to have if you’re trying to up your game, which is what I mean to do! Some of those brands, I would absolutely pick up for myself, but I do also know that they don’t resell great like Croft and Barrow and St. John’s Bay . They are relatively well-made and good quality clothes. I’ll get them for me all day long :) I’m very basic. Old Navy also. Karen Scott is a Sears brand to the best of my knowledge and it’s always been bland and boring and basic and not very great quality.
Very informative and helpful video! You obviously know what sells because you do so well! I DO. Allē your opinions and your videos. You’ve found some really cool things! Oxoxox
So happy for input on simply Vera because I keep seeing and it’s cute and I wondered if I should pick up. Glad I did not pick up clothing. I do grab bags
Great video. I’m not a clothes reselller, but I don’t pick up these brands very often to buy. O’Neill is a surfing brand. They are located in Santa Cruz, Ca I think.
I love your videos. Thank you so much! I zm new to reselling and have a lot of Loft and other less expensive brands in my inventory but I only paid .50 a piece for them. I am now gearing up to switch gears to better brands, but I have no clue where to find them. For now, I will sell off my inventory for cheap and invest in better.
Caslon was an interesting experience for me. I bought a pair of leather booties in burgundy, and they sold in under a week for $90, for full asking price. I was stunned.
As a new reseller I picked up almost all of these things at the bins because they were cute or trendy or I recognized them. They sat for years until I finally got rid of if them. Lesson learned haha
So depressing that I have several of those brands in my closet. No wonder my sales are so slow. However, I do have them prices $15-20. Thanks for the tips!
Just FYI... Nautica is not a Kohl's brand. They were founded in the early 80's, very popular when I was in high school 00-04, but have joined the realm of Tommy Hilfiger it seems. Great video!
I do not resell but there are many of these I would not buy 1st hand or 2nd hand. I do like Ann Taylor and Loft 2nd hand. Simply Vera Wang has gone down in quality. I love Old Navy but what they charge in the thrift store, I can buy new. Same with Time and True. With Gap it depends. I still have a Kermit green peacoat I have had for years, $5 and I get compliments every time I wear it.
I have just officially launched my online store after years of selling clothes locally. It’s a whole other world when you start selling online. I have steered clear away from these brands and gone straight to the good stuff at my local thrift store.
I just came across your video- thank you so much for these tips! I really appreciate you sharing your knowledge and experience! I’m a new subscriber now! 🌻
Ugh I've sold so many of these, picked them up for myself without trying on and listed to help ease the buyers remorse 😆 very useful, I don't see a lot of some of these like Nordstrom in house so definitely a time saver to not look them up
I have a lot of these brands that you were mentioning… Only because I got them doing estate cell cleanout… So they were zero cost me… So if I can get $10 for him, I’m a happy camper because they literally cost me zero
Your info was very helpful! Thank you. I had experience with at least a quarter of those brands when I first started. What you said about them is spot on!
I have been surprised lately when touching a garment and it fells so quality and then seeing a Walmart tag on it! Especially their swimsuits. I think they are stepping up a bit

I’m just starting my reselling journey and your brand videos have been helping me a TON!! Thank you!
Thanks so much for all the info. Love, love seeing the tag with each brand mentioned. It helps to see it.
Great video! Love this type of content! Express always gets me. I did sell a cute trench coat for $25. The only brand that I disagree with is Ann Taylor. I do well with their pieces but if substantial pieces or unique styles. All the other brands agree and a few brands I didn’t know. Thanks!
I do resale. But not all people can afford to go buy high name brands. Some people can only afford lower brands. To me making $20 in a sale is good
I get a lot of new people buying low name brand more than high brand I'm my closet 😊
I thought she was saying $25 and up before fees…idk but if it’s before fees it’s fine for me too! $20 profit is cool.
I went to Goodwill today and found some heels that were Jessica Simpson and they were gorgeous! Lol I had to walk away from them😂
I have only been reselling since July 5th.
Thinking about getting into reselling and have watched a bunch of your videos. And love your channel. Thank you for your hard work. Great info
This is the year that I started to resell. Have been focusing on hard goods because I'm not well versed in clothing. Very helpful video!
I still make sales on things like time and tru, danksin now, croft and barrow. It is bread and butter, but it all adds up.
Thank you SO much! I have wondered about so many of the brands mentioned. I learned so much that I will definitely use. I reeeally appreciate this video! You're the best 🙂💖
Universal thread dresses rock and move quickly - beautiful cotton pieces. Not super high but consistent and desirable
Oh my word wish I found you earlier thank you so much for the information was wondering why a few of my stuff wasn’t selling
Great video …
I know you stated several times that brands are your experience etc etc.
I completely agree! Some pieces from each brand can still sell for great money, and many are worth it if the price is right!
Can you possible do one for men’s brands pweaseeeee 😊
ya i do the same ; i try to five times my money ..and five$ is typical cost.. so twentyfive$ is about what i try for as well . nice to know im on the right track
These are the brands left behind on Goodwill's $2.00 day. Also avoid Universal Thread. Cheap Target brand.
Ohhh yeah good one
Thanks for all the advice and all your hard work ❤ happy new year 😀
I think this is the best video I have ever watched and I thank you . I have made so many mistakes ! Yikes!!! I will just sell them for cheap and move forward!
I knew most of those labels - some were new to me! Thanks for another great informative video!!!
As a new reseller, I learned so much from watching your videos, and I really appreciate you.
Great to hear! Hope you are able to apply it and make a great business!
This was a great video and very helpful. Thanks so much!
🤔 ~Caroline
Me too! I’d think lula rue is the same as lulu lemon😀. I’m very cheap so personally these are the brands I’m familiar with.
Hey Rebekah love you and your videos! Thank you for sharing! Do you have any advice to newcomers selling on eBay? Would love to hear a video about this from you! Thanks! 🙏🏼 😊
Thank you so so much for the video and I agree 100%. You are so so my new number one “not-to-miss” !
I had no idea about the Michael by Michael Kors. I thought it was all Michael Kors. I guess I was pretty lucky to sell the Michael things I’ve sold.
Okay the Madewell thumbnail had me all up in arms...LOL! ANother great comprehensive list . THank you!
Gotta get people to click some how! :)
Thank you so much. That's pretty much my whole store and all that's available in my area.
First time here. Great job! You are right on target.
Karen Scott is a Macy's in House brand. Like INC, ALFANI, Charter Club. Many end up in their liquidation pallet.
Well made Ann Taylor Studio (vintage) can do well, if they are for example cashmere or linen
I agree on all these brands. What’s your take on Chicos Calvin Klein and Green label Lauren Ralph Lauren?
😮this is good too know. Each state is different on these brands! Thanks fir sharing. 😊
Great video. I’m not a clothes reselller, but I don’t pick up these brands very often to buy. O’Neill is a surfing brand. They are located in Santa Cruz, Ca I think.
Great video! I agree! And as a newbie I've bought like 20 of these brands lol
So you're saying that my stock pile of Rural king jeans is a gold mine🎉
That’s exactly what I’m saying, Dad! 😂❤️
This is adorable 🥹
Knox Rose, Ava & Viv, Jessica Simpson sell great in plus size!!!!
This is the most informative Reseller video I have seen....subscribing right now
NAILED IT !!! i mean dang if i made a list this would be it...plus i learned a few Nordstrom new ones so thank you..
Thank you Rebekah! Love you!!!
So depressing that I have several of those brands in my closet. No wonder my sales are so slow. However, I do have them prices $15-20. Thanks for the tips!
Me too🥲
Just FYI... Nautica is not a Kohl's brand. They were founded in the early 80's, very popular when I was in high school 00-04, but have joined the realm of Tommy Hilfiger it seems. Great video!
These videos have been so helpful! A great vid would be a bread and butter 50 brand that you like.❤️😀
I do not resell but there are many of these I would not buy 1st hand or 2nd hand.
I love your videos! You are my new favorite PM expert. 🌸
*sales not cell
Your info was very helpful! Thank you. I had experience with at least a quarter of those brands when I first started. What you said about them is spot on!
I have been surprised lately when touching a garment and it fells so quality and then seeing a Walmart tag on it! Especially their swimsuits. I think they are stepping up a bit
I am fairly new i got burned on a vera lol i wish id watched this the other day! Im paying attention.
I sell Madewell all the time.. my bread and butter..no problem..
Thank you for the helpful info!! Karen Scott is sold in Macy’s lol
Karen Scott is a Macy's house brand. Same with INC, Bar III, and Charter Club.
I love INC personally but I wouldn't sell it.
A very helpful video! Thanks so much! 😊
