Hy-Per Cool radiator additive really works but there's just one catch.

    Sorry folks about the audio on the first test... the Buick can be loud. I have a mic on for the rest of the video to help with that. 🤣

    Went through Texas,New Mexico, Arizona, Nevada, all the way to Oregon in sometimes over 100 degree temps. No problems! I'm confident this stuff works!

    I'm actually insanely glad I found your video. From what I've researched so far it seems like it only makes a difference if you're running straight water like you are. Being in Canada, I have to run a 50/50. I'll save the bottle I picked up for a dollar for a derby car or a mud truck. This video was a big help. Thank you.

    Great test, thank you. A suggestion. TA Performance here in AZ makes a high volume water pump that works well in very hot climates 110-120*. The part number for the 455 long nose is TA_1537HP. Thank you again for the test👍

      Thank you sir. I do have that water pump and it is very powerful. I've actually blown off the upper heater hose right behind the thermostat water neck by reving the engine before it was completely warmed up... thats how strong it is lol. Thanks for watching!

    You should check the diffwrence between the hot side of the radiator and the cold side - with and without the additive. The greater the difference between the two sides the better the coolant is allowing heat to transfer from the water to the radiator fins.
    Since you are using a thermostat, your temp guage wouldn't/shouldn't change.

      That's right.thr thermostat keep the temperature to specefid value.

    I use it in my 2003 Buick Regal GS. It brought the temp down quite a bit according to the gauge. Approximately 25-30 degrees. It runs better as well.

    If You Use Straight Water Make sure to use Distilled Water & a Rust Inhibitor Do not use Tap Water !!

      Very true. You don't want mineral buildup. This was all distilled.

    Cool review bbro, get a low temp thermo valve and your air conditioning fixed. nWishing you cool runnings !

    For me it worked too well😅. Did a flush and thermostat replacement on my 2016 caravan R/T when temps were creeping a little over half and added this with the fresh coolant. A few days later and now it's throwing a P0128 code denoting a below normal coolant temp condition, which in newer vehicles can supposedly cause reduced power and emissions and cause exhaust to rust. So I will be draining the rad and adding some more fresh coolant to try to reduce the amount of hyper cool in the system and checking the new thermostat.

      @fictionlesstruth7702 interesting... I wouldn't think it would go that far lol.

    For the sake of doing another test, maybe try using the prestone 70/30 mix and see what it does? Label says it provides boilover protection with a 15lb cap.

      I could maybe do this but would have to run a couple straight water flushes to get my system completely clean of the HyperCool first.

      I've read that it does "wear out" over time. I believe the bottle said something about refreshing it after a period of time. It's like 1 new bottle a year. I've not had any issues myself, though, and am on the same bottle.

    • @joelnrs
      @joelnrs 11 месяцев назад +2

      @@JackofAllTrades1 I saw that exact thing on the bottle to retreat once a year. I purchased a bottle for my truck and put it in there. I don’t have a digital coolant gauge so I don’t really know if it’s making much of a difference, but I plan on flushing my system out once a year. I figure it’s worth a shot.

      Ricardo, you watched this video so you know I am running water and Hyper-Cool in the engine. So why post that statement? I run this car at the track, and nearly every other guy there runs straight distilled water in this car.

    • @ricardofierro7041
      @ricardofierro7041 Год назад +1

      @@JackofAllTrades1 You said on the video that you don’t run ( coolant , twice ) , I guess meaning antifreeze in your car. Because you don’t need antifreeze in Miami. As far as running Just H2o on the drag strip actually Most drag strips Don’t allow antifreeze in cars because they make a mell of a Hess when it leaks on the track. And you said you were only trying Hyper-Cool for the first time to see if it worked. Thanks

    • @JackofAllTrades1
      @JackofAllTrades1  Год назад +2

      @@ricardofierro7041 I guess my speech is just too lax, yes I run additives but not antifreeze since it is not needed down here in Florida. I ran straight distilled water for a couple days to show this test and give a good idea of what changes some of these additives can give to a cooling system. This test was run on a brand new engine that I built and it had an all new coolant system.
