    I personally have had a good experience with Hy-per cool super coolant. BUT! How do we know that they didn't add some sort of detergent to their competitor's coolant additive before they started the video? I would say that in the spirit of fairness, they should show a video of them adding two unopened bottles (one of their's and one of their competitor's) to the separate sides of the divided bottle, and then shake it. Or simply take the bottles (unopened, right from the store shelves) and shake them.

    Too brief mention of corrosion inhibition and no mention of water pump lubrication bothers me as that is my primary purpose. The supercooling is secondary. I want to fortify my old coolant rather than change it out and also use weak coolant in the South, and am having trouble finding good water pump lubes anymore.

    SO, question
    how does foam form in an air tight closed coolant system?

    • @hy-perlube6870
      @hy-perlube6870  4 года назад +5

      Hi Michael, we're glad you asked. Foam can form in an airtight system around the cylinder heads and cylinder head cooling ports. This is known as nucleation and it occurs without the introduction of actual air to the system. It takes place when the surface temperature is warmer than the saturated fluid temperature by a certain amount but where the heat flux is below the critical point. As more nucleation sites become active, increased bubble formation causes bubble interference and coalescence. These bubbles forming between the metal surfaces can inhibit the ability of coolant to carry heat away from the cylinder heads due to the “foam” acting as an insulator between the two surfaces. The Super Coolant additive contains very high cloud point surfactants designed to provide maximum wetting (coolant surface tension reduction) at the very high end of the temperature spectrum. This is what also helps the cooling system decrease the heat flux critical point at those locations to reduce foaming and thusly keep the engine components running cooler. We hope that answers your question.

    How does running cooler make your timing better? I understand lower temps can mean more power but “better timing” is a bogus claim.

    i wonder if lowering the temperature is even good thing in a stock properly working car. the manufacture designed the system to run at a specific temperature . Furthermore how can this make the engine run cooler if the thermostat is opening and closing at specific temperatures? Also if this stuff works so well why wouldnt manufactures add it to their coolant?

    • @hy-perlube6870
      @hy-perlube6870  5 лет назад +3

      Hi Diehard, products like these are designed to help transfer heat away from the block, too much foam will actually trap the heat preventing temperature reduction. There is a pop-up in the video that explains this. Our test shows our Super Coolant vs. the leading competitor. Hopefully that clears it up! Thanks for the comment.

    How about running a stock oem system under design loads without product, hooked to DAQ data logging, and then again with product. As an example, you can't claim a chip increases power without running dyno tests or timed track runs. No, wait- you can claim it. But you would be making a claim with no evidence, and most consumers want to know exactly what will the product do for them.
    If someone is thinking they need this product, they should most likely just look for the REAL problem and fix it. If a radiator is half plugged up, that should be fixed as opposed to trying to make the coolant slippery. And this product won't help a bit if the radiator is covered in mud. In the end, gimmicks are just ways to separate people who don't understand, from their money.

      Hi acoustic4037, this product is designed to reduce engine temperature by assisting with the transfer of heat in the system. We provide our dyno-test results on our label to show the benefits of our product when used with both water alone, and a 50-50 mix. We're a family owned company, that pride ourselves on developing products that work. We appreciate the chance to explain a little more about our company, thanks for the comment acoustic4037!
