    Bruh, you're better of getting a used 3070 than getting a 4060ti for close to 500 bucks.

      Yup. I got super lucky and got a 3070 last year for 200 DOLLARS. You literally can't beat that.

    So a 4060 TI is almost a 3070 and supports DLSS 3.0 , Yeah I don't see it worth the 500.00 price tag. I got my 3070 in the peak of Covid shortages and still managed to get it for 600.00 Nvidia just seems to be locking features behind their cards. I am waiting to see what they lock behind the 50xx series.

      I wouldn't call it a waste, but at the price the RTX 4060 ti is going it should at least be clearly faster than the rtx 3070 IMO, it's just sad at this point

      I would say from 4070 on down...probably nvidia is faster with ray tracing and dlss + frame generation. honestly if you have a nvidia card y never use in raster

      @@teflonstestbench i think is because of x8, but you have to consider the price, my was only 300 and anything above the 4060TI was much more expensive, i''m from brasil so when the GPU cost 100 you can multiply by 3 because of taxes and others things

    Hey how did you cool down your rtx 4060 windforce edition? mine reaches 81 degrees on 100% utilization. please tell me did you undervolt it??
    it has worst cooling compared iwth other variants.

    • @teflonstestbench
      @teflonstestbench  Месяц назад

      I didn't undervokt it, I just test on an open case so it has really good airflow and I also use a more aggressive fan curve for all the cards so the cooling does not affect the testing, but yeah, that model has terrible cooling and on long tests it will reach close to 80 even on the open table. And that is wild for a card with only 100ish W of tdp.
      To cool it down I can just recommend a new thermal paste, increasing airflow around it or just setting the fans higher.

    I dont think there are bad GPUs per se nowadays cause it all depends on the price..but holy moly the 3070, 4060, 4070ti and the 3050 were the worst releases Ive seen in aaaaaages..such horrible deals

    • @teflonstestbench
      @teflonstestbench  Месяц назад

      I would agree in all of them except the 3070. 2080 ti performance for less when it was released new was a really good deal. The only thing is VRAM... Tho by that metric the RTX 3070 ti is even worse xD

    So a 4060 is basically a budget 1440p card and high end 1080p card?

    • @teflonstestbench
      @teflonstestbench  Месяц назад

      Wouldn't say high end as maybe the 8GB is not enough for future games at ultra with ray tracing. But yeah, it's a 1080p card.

      @@teflonstestbench well when the 8gb of vram dies then together with the 4060 dies the 3060ti, 2070, 2070s, 2080, 3050, 3070, 4060ti, 2060s. The rtx 5060 imo will 100% have 8gb GDDR7 vram and its 30% faster then gddr6. If said like that 4060 8gb doesnt sound as bad.

    • @teflonstestbench
      @teflonstestbench  Месяц назад

      Yep, they will all die, the problem is the power the core in relation with the amount of VRAM. The 1070 has 8gb of ram but it's a lot slower than the 4060 in terms of raster, so for the 2000s series it makes sense. But having a 4060/ti with only 8gb it's a huge problem. And it's not about the speed, the problem is that you need to store the textures somewhere and if those + all the other game stuff it's more than 8gb then you run into these problems, no matter how fast the VRAM is.

    • @shifu1batonas
      @shifu1batonas Месяц назад

      @@teflonstestbench the 4060 should push few more years on high settings with its 8gb vram, then games will get even more demanding and it will start doing high to medium/low or high with dlss 3 and FG.

    • @teflonstestbench
      @teflonstestbench  Месяц назад

      The problem is frame gen and DLSS also use VRAM so it won't when you have a problem with VRAM size. But yeah, for high and medium it should be fine. But I don't think a last gen GPU that costs this much should only be able to do that

  • @user-be3ro5si1l

    • @alfonso5177
      @alfonso5177 Месяц назад +1

      DLSS 3 it's the upscalling, u mean Dlss Frame Generation?, if so, it adds some latency, more with the 4060 because the low base-framerate.

    • @fleurdewin7958
      @fleurdewin7958 Месяц назад

      That only applies if you have the 4060Ti 16GB version. If you turn on Frame Generation, VRAM consumption will increase by 1GB+ . If you only have 8GB of VRAM, you will run out of VRAM very fast when you turn on FG . Performance might be even slower now because you run out of VRAM .
