@@christophermullins7163i am tired of telling people to try used. People will still blabber about mining when it doesn’t change anything about a gpu but they won’t research about it. Bought a mining 3080 that was so dusty and dry as soon as i confirmed that it is working with no fragmentation. Took a couple hours to restore with thermal pads but it works perfect!!
There won't be good value GPUs at the end of the year. NVIDIA is going to bend us over and tell us we're fortunate to be able to pay 2200 for a 5090 or 1500 for a 5080, because Jensen said the more you buy, the more you save.
Being a PC enthusiast used to be fun, you could get either the top-tier GPU for around £350-400, or you could be smart, and get the one down from that for £250-300, and flash the BIOS to unlock the pipes and shaders et cetera,, you could do this every generation pretty much, then there were generations where the middle GPU offered 95% of the flagship GPU, £200 could basically get you the enthusiast GPU, at least CPU’s are current fun and interesting, though Intel nearly put a stop to that, they tried going down the same patch as Nvidia with their GPU's by stagnating CPU tech and putting prices up, thankfully AMD ca to the rescue with Ryzen, if only they remained competitive with GPU's and stopped Nvidia from being greedy tyrants, then again I'm quite happy using the mClassic and a mid-range GPU for now, gives me good enough frame-time latency performance @ 1440p (scaled from 720p) and actually looks better than native 1440p, but GPU tech is really stagnant at the moment, very little features for not so little money, the fact that I can produce much better results with a third party solution (mClassic which cost me £75) and a £300 GPU than an £800 GPU speaks volumes.
Maybe try not being a mindless consumer buying the new and hottest things every year. I always wait 1-3 years before buying anything when prices drop. It's how I got my most recent phone (retailed at $800, got it new for only $300 lol). Plan to do the same with upgrading my GPU. Def not buying anything new.
@@thelonercoder5816 I find 7-10 years is the sweet spot for a new main gaming GPU, as for smartphones, I find them to be completely OTT, I use a basic Nokia that makes phone calls and text msgs, imagine that, when I want a tablet i'll use my iPad, which @ £300 is the only good for value product Apple produces, as it does so much, has Apple Arcade, which is fantastic, a phone is a phone imo.
My 6750xt has been very good to me. These past few years it’s always nice to see it pop up as a good card time after time. I decided to move from 1440p with this card to just a 1080 max everything monster.
Picked up my first AMD card. A used Sapphire RX 6800 XT Nitro+ SE for $299 cash. Absolutely friggin' love it, after coming from team green (970,1060,1080,2060,2080S,3070). I cannot stress enough, to those whom are comfortable buying used, to check their local facebook marketplace/craigslist/etc. Many often forget about taxes and shipping can get expensive while buying used GPUs online.
@@christophermullins7163 What are your thoughts on your 6950 XT? I was thinking of picking one up prior to the 6800 XT, as they are going my for $400-$450 local to my area. Only didn’t pick it up due to not wanting to change my PSU lol
@@4eremy832 it's powerful and plenty for 4k 45-60 in AAA and 4k 144 in competitive games. Often have to enable some upscaling but only a 4090 can push out that many frames in the latest games. I'd say it is plenty for 4k and would crush 1440. It's 330watt but you can easily get that to 250 watt with 95% of the performance. A lot of my games run 4k at under 300watt total usage from the wall. It will OC to over 400watt though so gotta be careful for anything less than 1000watt PSU.
@@christophermullins7163 How long do you think you’d stick to your 6950 XT for before upgrading? Also is there any GPU specifically in mind to consider upgrading towards within the next few years for 1440P High/Ultra?
I paid $335 for my ASrock Phantom 6800XT, it's been an outstanding 1440p card. I've never had major issues buying used stuff, and good advice, always check local ads to possibly save on shipping charges.
Me personally i picked up rx 7900 xt over Ngredia rtx 4070 ti super bla bla bla cuz longevity and 20 gb vram would save me some year ahead especially when it comes to UE5 games. I am so happy not getting fooled by buying Nvidia 4k series with handicapped specs as i did with rtx 3080 . Guys be careful this time around and buy wisely
Yeah i commented same thing. Seems like US market prices are totally different and in US for some reason they can sell nvidia cards cheaper or close to msrp
and it's not just the prices. US average monthly salary is like $6,000. EU don't have €6,000 monthly salary, so the €1,400 and €999 are even more expensive than US prices.
@@HS_Rides very nice! I actually bought two msi RX 5700 oc editions for 55usd each today. With no fans due to mining. It fits in my Lenovo small form factor pre built like barely. Just about to try and plug it in with an untested external PSU. Wish me luck lol. Might light up like the 4th of July up in here 😜
i managed to snag a rx 7900 xtx open box for £700 (885usd), normally they go for £850+ or £950+ for 4080 super so i believe my deal was worth it vs new
Just picked up a 12Gb 3080 for the equivalent of $480, which in Europe is a great deal considering the 3080Ti is only 5% faster but they cost the equivalent of $630 used here
@@HanSolo__ every review I've seen shows it sitting between the 10Gb 3080 and the 3080Ti, but closer to the 3080Ti. It's faster than the normal 3080 remember. More like a cut down 3080Ti rather than a 3080 with extra VRAM
One thing that 7600xt also has over 6650xt is 16GB vs 8GB of VRAM and with how much some games are hogging right now might save you an upgreade in the future
I’ve played every main AAA game to release in the past few years on high-ultra settings at 1440p with the 4060ti 8GB + Ryzen 5 4600G and every single game runs smooth as butter at 60+ fps so the people saying 8GB cards are already having problems at 1080p have no idea what they’re talking about lol. Yeah, you probably can’t max your graphics settings to ultra with ray tracing at 4K in Alan Wake 2 on an 8GB card but i’ve had no problems at all playing the game on high-ultra with no RT at 1440p getting constant 60+fps.. if it’s able to run that game on those graphics settings then it will be fine for a few more years to come. The only thing i’ve seen that I wouldn’t technically be able to do is use more vram to increase texture filtering which hasn’t been a big deal to me considering 1-2GB already looks great with ultra settings in most cases.. if you’re wanting to set it to something like 16GB and see every pixel in the game then yeah it’s probably not the card for you. With that being said, I still wouldn’t recommend anyone to go buy a brand new 8GB card or even a used one unless they’re getting a great price, my point however is they still work good enough for most users.
I bought a used 6700XT for $260 , replacing my 7 year old 1060 3GB and holy crap, this thing is a beast in 1440p. Good thing GPU prices here in Manila are starting to decrease, even with the new ones.
If the consoles can play at 4k and still look decent. Its hard to justify spending huge amounts of money on just a graphicss card. I love pcs and building them but its so expensive for just a graphics card. Ray tracing is cool but when im playing a game i dont stop to look at reflections every 2 seconds. I like amd more because it has great non rt fps
Just got a 7800XT to replace my GTX 1080. The 1080 is a workhorse of a card but the value we have available now is awesome. Beats that GPU shortage that happened a while ago where even smaller cards were $$$$
Funny I see this video. February last year I ordered my wife and I both rtx 3060 cards for our PCs. Before the cards made it to the door the rtx3060ti went on sale for the same price. But I had already ordered so we have them. Nothing bad to say besides I wish they were bigger for more but they still do great.
I would point out that the RTX 4060 Ti, while being $365, if you look at the chart, it's only 3fps faster on average than the RX 6700 XT which means that it's probably the same or slower than the 12GB RX 6750 XT for $300 that you were talking about.
i always buy used gpus and ive bought over 15 by now bc i built and sold a few systems for my friends, never got sold a dud every single one works still from 1050tis and rx 580s up to rtx 3080s
Just on a sidenote : IF you are on a budget looking for a gpu (those that buy halo cards aren´t on a budget so it doesn´t include those), completely ignore ray tracing performance and go for the pure rasterized performance/best value offer. As in all honesty in most games it´s still just a gimmick that might be nice but won´t change the overall experience and in all competitive titles you aren´t going to ruin your play by distracting shiny bling bling anyways. I already said it when the 2000 series came out, Ray tracing is not and will never be anything but a gimmick until it´s useable on mid/low mid range cards (and i don´t mean useable with 30 fps at 1080p, perfomance dlss + fg). If you want this shiny bling bling you aren´t in the market for budget oriented purchase anyways but go with a rtx 4080s or 4090 anyways. And IF the past has shown anything than that RT performance is so absolutely not future proof. The next games that offer even more realistic rt stuff might be so demanding on that that even the current 4090 might choke on it. (I mean try to use rt on a 2080 ti, you can but the performance drop is so massive it´s not even worth it).
@@mercurio822 Yeah, it's the sweet spot right now when all things are considered. I found a used 6700XT for 200 euro recently so I'm good, but I'm looking at 6800s for when a deal pops up.
I had a 6700xt nitro, sold it when i got a great deal on a 6950xt nitro. Then i sold the 6950xt for a 100 euro profit and bought a 7900xt which i eventually sold for the same price that bought my current 7900xtx for.
I'm an architecture student and I'm also stuck between the RTX 3060 12GB and the RTX 4060 8GB. I prefer the 3060 because of its VRAM, which makes it more future-proof. However, most benchmarks indicate that the 4060 is faster. I'm undecided whether to choose slightly slower rendering times but more future-proofing or faster rendering times with potential difficulties handling larger projects.
Its so crazy how much cheaper gpus are in the us compared to where norway. I can get a 7800xt for around 700 dollars for a double fan one and any comparable nvidia gpu goes for around 750+ dollars the cheapest 4080 is 1250 dollars :( I really hope they start making gpus a little cheaper but i doubt it
The 6700xt all day used for 250USD or less around my area. That , right now , seems to be the bang for buck champ. For people that have to have Nvidia the 3060 12g and 3060ti are decent if they are 240USD or less. IMO. Totally agree that the 6800xt used is fantastic at 400.
The 6700XT uses around 180W. I have the sapphire edition. At 180W it boosts up to 2650Mhz and if I underclock it to 1.1V from 1.2V it uses 120W to 130W and the Temperature falls at least 10C from around 73C to 63C.
That deal you showed on Amazon, I actually bought the 6650 xt from that seller and never received the card :) Had to call Amazon customer services to get a refund. Will now be getting an arc a750
i have a RX 7900 GRE, well it's a fast card for sure BUT ... since i bought it, i have micro stutters in a lot of games (mostly multiplayer games). Might be amd drivers related, but keep it in mind.
If my budget is around 400 dollars and i already have a pc with ryzen 5 7600X which gpu should i take if i want to learn video editing and graphic designing
Currently on a 3060ti with a 5600x, upgrading to a 1440p monitor and would like to upgrade my GPU - would you recommend holding off until the new 5000 series release - or should I get a 4080 super for 950 USD
Got an AMD Reference 7900XT open box (it was brand new) on eBay for $680. I got it cause it was a high powered AMD offering with a water block and I’m doing a custom loop. I heard good things about it so we’ll see. Should have plenty of OC headroom with 2 360mm rads and a D5 pump
I just upgraded from a gtx1080 to a gtx1080ti so I'm still way behind the times but it seems pretty good so far. I still desperately need a monitor upgrade as I'm using a hp 27" but only 60hz.
Under $200, you also have the Arc A580 8GB for $160-$180. Not great performance, for sure, but they'll get most games to a playable framerate on a budget monitor (1080p), even at decent settings.
You made a small mistake. The 7900 GRE is faster than the 4070 super albeit only by 2% at pure raster. The 7900 gre is actually a good 10% percent faster than the 7800 xt. I've owned both gpus and I witnessed this for myself. Some games though I admit are pretty close.
i got a 3060ti from a friend for 200$ to hold me over until the 40 series drop a bit, but its exceeded my expectations so much that im not sure its even worth getting a 40 series
4070 Ti / Super - 7700x / 7800xt is best gpu for me. But it's boring and annoying to pour money into a PC when the games don't work as they should and they're not well optimized at all and all performance is controlled by DLSS and FSR.
Display Port 2.1 sounds like a good reason to get XTX, and it's way cheaper than the 4090, yeah, it might not be as good, but in Canada it's like 1000 more for the 4090. There's no justifying the performance difference if you compare the prices to performance, it's a no brainer to get the XTX and say fuck you to nvidia scam pricing.
To be fair I got the xtx before the 80super came out and I really enjoyed having it felt like a massive upgrade from my 2080 ti still fsr 2.2 and above is fine but I do wish I would of weighted for the 80 super but I do regularly hit 18gb of vram when playing games and watching anime at 4k
What’s sad is my 3070ti struggling to keep up with new titles only bc of its 8gb of vram. If it had 10-12gb I’d keep it for another 2 years but man has it been struggling lately on newer titles at 1440p. Sad bc the gpu core itself is more than powerful enough
Just switched to the 7909XTX and honestly I’m very happy. Card is a beast the software in my opinion is significantly better than Nvidia. Personally I haven’t notice life without DLSS and all that other stuff. I switched to AMD for my CPU as well. (Ryzen 7 7900x3D) I’m probably never going back to Nvidia or Intel. Try AMD you’ll be happy trust.
Titan xp sells for 175 to 200$ used. 12gb, from the pascals line (1080 and such) It is equivalent roughly to a 2080 super, processing wise. No rtx features, but a great deal nonetheless It is a near tie with 3060 ti on benchmarks.
its funny how those company train people . Replace a 500usd card annually became the normality even if there is not price/performance increase. People are awsome. AI become more and more intelligent and the human become progressively more stupid.... not a good prediction PS.... but we have the features , lets you think the gpu its faster than what you think
I bought a xfx 6750xt off Amazon. It was from the same seller that you showed. When I got and tried to play cs2 but it wouldn’t stop crashing after a few minutes of play.
Many people say that 8gb vram isn’t the bare minimum to buy now and that you should buy atleast 12gb vram in 2024. Is that true? My brother mainly play 1080 but don’t want to upgrade I a few years. He thinks about the 6650, 3060 or 6750 but the 6750 might be too expensive.
And here I just upgraded my 3070 for a 4090... I gave my 3070 to a childhood friend of mine he really loves it I mean he was still using a 1060, I didn't bother to sell it.
i do own AMD cards and they suck power like crazy just limit the max fps then the gpu wont suck as much power i play mmorpg a lot and left it on for hours but my gpu is only drawing 60w down from 230w if i were to let the fps fly which is pointless
@@tomthomas3499 There is enough room in the $600 price for installing 16GB. The cost of memory does not matter it's more about pushing you to replace the card due to lack of VRAM (sooner than later) or pushing you to a higher tier of $800 to get 16GB if you want a 4K card. So the strategy is more scummy than just cutting the costs of memory.
I ended up winning an auction for a lightly used Liquid Devil 6800 XT for $416 about 8 months ago. Run it UV/OC'd at 2650MHz @ 990mV and it goes toe to toe with the 7900 GRE and 4070 Super at 1440P in the games I play the most. Power consumption isn't even that bad since it's golden silicon on water cooling, it's usually in the 180-190W range and running at 50-52C. If I run RT it can hit 340W and 60C, but I don't really play a lot of games with RT. Nothing even comes close to the value I found with this card, it has impressed me so much and I think RDNA2 might be AMD's GOAT generation.
I had a 6750XT 12GB and it was indeed a supprising card. Its didnt have any issues other than RT, had to upgrade to a 7800XT as i needed 0.8 GB more VRAM to make my simulator smooth in VR
The 7900 xtx blows the 4080 out the water on most games I play the main one being warzone and the prices are a lot different here in the U.K. the 7900 xtx is the clear winner here
It all depends on geographic location as well. Here in Australia the 7900xtx is a no brainer if that is the price range you are shopping in. the 7900xtx can be found for around the $1350AUD vs $1800AUD for a 4080 Super
It's most likely THE deciding factor. 4080 Super and 7900 XTX go for the same price in France (around 1k€), 4070 Super and 7800 XT were going for around 600-650€ (7800XT recently dropped in price, so 4070 Super matches the 7900 GRE), 4060 and 7600 go for 300-350€. It makes almost no sense to go AMD in France right now because you'd save between nothing and 40€. With current electricity prices, going for the Nvidia card is almost always cheaper past the 1st year mark.
@@mitsuhh I would still go for the Vapor X XTX for $1549, extra 50 gets you 8gb more Vram which will last you at least 4 years. I had X trios in the past they aren't very good, the 4080 Supers I would actually go for are variants like the TUF at minimum which is $1858 (4080S) and it doesn't fit my setup, the Gigabyte Aero fits my setup for $1850 but if I was spending I would go for the Asrock Taichi XTX $1600. He was referring to the 4080 Super anyways while you are referring to the regular 4080 to which the cheapest 4080S is $1800 so he is correct.
@pituguli5816 The 24gb vram is honestly useless. Someone buying such a card will move on in 2 gens at least as by then the card will be low end. Cyberpunk completely maxed out at 4k native doesn't even come close to 20gb, it's more around 13.5 avg to 16gb. Alan wake 2 is the same and ue5 which is becoming the norm literally uses less vram than those games even maxed out in games. By the Tim you get to actually use that 24gb vram that card will not be doing anything close to 4k gaming.
3090 user here, paid $700 new for mine. Biggest plus is never having to worry about vram. Plus, Lossless Scaling has pretty much made my gpu into a 4090 for me. Best $7 on Steam really.
@@ravenstarfire8816 7 dollar program available in steam it is basically dlss for free without input lag and maintaining the same quality as native resolution

I love that you include the used market. I recently dropped a couple racks on my engine rebuild for my truck so I'm not gonna be upgrading for a little while. But its nice to know my 1080 ti can be upgraded pretty reasonably now
LOL, FSR 3.1 came out literal hours after you put this video out, so now all the DLSS love is a little bit obsolete. Daniel Owen took a look at it and it's a huge upgrade from FSR 2.2. Competitive with DLSS imho
I find the DLSS and FSR conversations/arguments odd and disconnected. I play/talk to a bunch of pc who have no idea what those words even mean or if they even use it. It’s almost like RT if it’s not automatic set to it I’m sure a lot of ppl don’t use it.
Many reviews have the 4070S at the same level or just below the 7900 GRE in terms of rasterized performance. Absolutely wins on RT though. As it stands I just don't care about ray tracing that much so I'm going to go with the 7900 GRE. I was considering the 4070 Ti S but that is a big jump in price
I think my GTX 1080 is a good value. Still works very well with everything I do with it. The 4790K/DDR3 1866/SATA3 SSD to 12400F/DDR5 6000/NVme M.2 SSD migration brought it to life while being able to feed the GPU more.
Love my 7900 XTX, paired with a 7800X3D it dominates everything I throw at it, ray tracing included, and I find that my frame rate is always higher than what is shown in benchmark videos. Cyberpunk in 4k with raytracing ultra and I’m still pushing over 100 fps consistently and getting an incredible experience. Maybe I’m crazy but I’m super happy to be with team red this time around. I honestly couldn’t ask for more performance. It was the extra VRAM that sold it for me and I’m very happy with it.
The X3D CPUs are so damn good, the improvement in input latency they bring is night & day, especially when combined with Intel 3DX SSD's. (how about that, AMD X3D & Intel 3DX, who is naming these things lol o_o)
the sound quality is much better, i always preferred high-end condenser mic quality over dynamic ones even tho shure do make good sounding dynamic mics but daym, the quality of the high-end condenser mics is just insane, your voice now sounds a lot less muffled and much thicker and better overall
In terms of ray tracing, the RX 7900xtx is practically on par with the 4080 Super in many titles. Where the 7900xtx falters is in titles with path tracing, but to be honest, today there are only about 3 titles with path tracing and it has a cost. very great performance to be honest so if we talk about gaming we should think that both GPUs have a similar performance currently the 24gb of vram of the rx 7900xtx will give it a significant advantage in scenarios where a lot of vram is used in addition to having a better bus, for example warzone is a game that consumes an absurd amount of vram today, just look at the consumption with all the presets in ultra only at 1080p which is already around 14gb/16gb of vram, it is a poorly optimized game but Unfortunately that is something very common to see nowadays so buying a gpu just to have things like dlss is not worth it since you have decent alternatives that are not far behind it like fsr 3.0 and xess also when you are paying $1000 for a gpu the least you expect is to use rescalers and many people will tell you that dlss looks better than the native but nothing could be further from the truth, it is worse than the native when it is well implemented it does not look much worse than the native but it looks worse besides in certain scenarios you lose fine details with the movements etc. also another thing that they always discard and I don't know why it is the people who precisely want to maintain the maximum graphical fidelity possible for that you have dlaa, fsr native aa and xess native aa that provide the maximum graphical fidelity possible when they implement them well, something that seems really a good plus in many scenarios, even with GPUs in these price ranges, is the frame gen and we return to the same thing, there are alternatives to dlss frame gen that are even closer to rescalers like fsr frame gen and even programs like lossless scaling that you can use anywhere, the only valid excuse in my humble opinion to opt for nvidia is that you depend on programs that use cuda since there is no alternative to As for the rest, there is no real reason to go with Nvidia, plus with the AMD alternative you can also work with 3D renders, video editing, etc. It is even offering you advantages due to the greater amount of vram and bus
People saying DLSS looks better than native are either blind and or paid to shill or just unable to see the blur and artifacts introduced or don't want to, so they can use it like a crutch and feel like it isn't a worse experience. it is worse. so is FSR. Neither framgens are not the same as native and never will be, it'll get close but it can never 'ai' everything.
@@N4CRhow can upscaling ever look better than native? It kinda bothers me that he keeps praising dlss like it should be the norm to upscale on every game. It has definitely become a crutch
If you’re going budget then go for AMD. I had my eye on the 4060ti for a while as I wanted budget with an extra kick. But I can’t see passed getting the 7700 xt instead and I could get a 7800 xt with the money saved assuming I was going for the 4060TI with 16 gb vram.
ive owned a 6750xt for about 2 years and its been an absolute unit ive never had a problem that a normal user would have the only peculiar thing about it is that the coolers are overbuilt even with 2 fans meaning very heavy overclocking is possible and i would even recomend it
my 3080 recently died and was considering the 4080s but honestly didn't need that extra performance but did want the extra vram so I just got the 4070ti super and it's great, the fact that it's using over a 100 watts less than the 3080 while still having 25% ish performance increase is pretty impressive
The 4070 TI Super is one of those cards that hits all the bells and will work at 4k until the next gen consoles release. I feel that card is going to age well
No matter your GPU brand preference….. make sure you’re getting your desired GPU at a vg price 💪🥰😇👍. In addition, I find getting a GPU close to launch (and I look at open box deals🥳🥳, damaged packaging models etc first) as you get to enjoy the improved fps, features etc longer than getting it later to save 5-10-15% 😅😂🤣.
I bought in my country (my country in the middle of the Europe) rx6800 about 410$, because in my country don't have any amd gpu with xt and my budget very limited. I'm very happy own this masterpiece very good price
I got my RX 6700 for 180€ and my Ryzen 7 5600X3D for 200€ (all prices tax included). I live in Central EU. Love my setup, thanks to you I got an RX 6700. ☺
I picked up the Hellhound 7900 XT for about $680 (including taxes) last Oct and its been a great card. At that time the 4070 Ti (Super wasnt available) was more close to $900 dollars here. Honestly the drivers haven't been an issue with any games I've played and ran everything great.
idk man it feels weird .. im playing 1080p and my 1080ti its akwardly holding up like a powerhouse. I was thiking about upgrading to something with RT (because of blender) but man ..i dont feel it atm
Id say more importantly upgrade the monitor. You can use upscaling and continue to use the 1080 ti but you will see the goodness of higher res and will be way more excited for a future upgrade.
The main advantage of the Radeon RX 7900 XTX (which I have) is the 24 GB of VRAM. With that amount, you can always set textures and settings to maximum and not worry that you'll have performance issues or crashes. When I check how much VRAM is being used while I'm gaming at max settings, it often shows up as 14 to 16 GB of VRAM! Therefore, at around $1000 for the Geforce RTX 4080 Super, it's tough to recommend it with its 16 GB of VRAM... Kind of unacceptable considering that even an Intel ARC A770 for $350 or whatever also has 16 GB of (LOL!) I'm predicting that in the next few years this will become a very tight amount of VRAM for a lot of games, or cause performance issues. It's mostly ok to have 16GB of VRAM today, but you don't buy a $1000 graphics card to change it in just 1 year... I'm surprised that almost no one talks about this. The same happened when reviewers and tech channels were talking about 8GB VRAM being an INSANE amount back in 2020 or 2019 or so. But they made it seem like you won't have to worry about that for a long long time. Already 1 year ago, 8 GB was a joke and frequently I had crashes when I had a card with just that amount in games.
VRAM is primary limiting factor of lifespan of a card. Even if features go out of date, you can still play that big texture/mod pack... the 16gb 4080 turdLSS can't.
@@N4CR I 100% agree. Having really high textures is indeed the "hack" to having really nice visuals in games far into the future... And that 16gb 4080 will be handicapped.
Why would spending over $500 mean you should care about DLSS? The truth is the opposite: People spend that much to NOT run fake frame technologies like upscaling and frame Gen 😂. Why would I buy a good graphics card just to ruin it with image quality enshittening and FPS destroying tech ?
Yo, hope this helps!

@@christophermullins7163i am tired of telling people to try used. People will still blabber about mining when it doesn’t change anything about a gpu but they won’t research about it. Bought a mining 3080 that was so dusty and dry as soon as i confirmed that it is working with no fragmentation. Took a couple hours to restore with thermal pads but it works perfect!!
that 3080 was actually a pretty good deal but i think im gonna get a 4070 super instead
There won't be good value GPUs at the end of the year. NVIDIA is going to bend us over and tell us we're fortunate to be able to pay 2200 for a 5090 or 1500 for a 5080, because Jensen said the more you buy, the more you save.
I doubt 5090 will be 2200 since that's what a 4090 strix is going for if I had to guess it'll probably be closer to 3k
Well he’s not wrong if you buy the card and don’t look back for the next 5 years lol
RTX 3080Ti is a lower memory option of the RTX 3090. It's more like 12-15% faster than RTX 3080. Still, you got a nice deal with your 3080 12GB.
Just on a sidenote :
IF you are on a budget looking for a gpu (those that buy halo cards aren´t on a budget so it doesn´t include those), completely ignore ray tracing performance and go for the pure rasterized performance/best value offer.
One thing you missed was the 2nd hand 3090. Value for money WAY better than the 4080 and 7900xtx on pricing
The audio sounds very good in this video. Nice work.
I would like a high end Nvidia with 48 GB of vRam. That’s what is needed for running advanced AI locally.

I can get a 7800xt for around 700 dollars for a double fan one and any comparable nvidia gpu goes for around 750+ dollars
the cheapest 4080 is 1250 dollars :(
I really hope they start making gpus a little cheaper but i doubt it
The 6700xt all day used for 250USD or less around my area.

Your prices are freakin bonkers. A RX 7800 basically starts at 660 usd over here in sweden if its not on sale.
I wish AMD would get its shit together with FSR, I’m considering Nvidia simply because of DLSS.
What’s sad is my 3070ti struggling to keep up with new titles only bc of its 8gb of vram. If it had 10-12gb I’d keep it for another 2 years but man has it been struggling lately on newer titles at 1440p. Sad bc the gpu core itself is more than powerful enough

@@tomthomas3499 There is enough room in the $600 price for installing 16GB. @pituguli5816 The 24gb vram is honestly useless. Someone buying such a card will move on in 2 gens at least as by then the card will be low end. I love that you include the used market. I recently dropped a couple racks on my engine rebuild for my truck so I'm not gonna be upgrading for a little while. But its nice to know my 1080 ti can be upgraded pretty reasonably now
Intel Arc GPUs is what you should.be buying, stop bending over for Nvidia and AMD 🤡
I mainly use the rtx3060. The a770 is actually a pretty decent gpu. Just don't expect to play dx11 with it. Dx12 is where its at with the arc cards.
LOL, FSR 3.1 came out literal hours after you put this video out, so now all the DLSS love is a little bit obsolete. Daniel Owen took a look at it and it's a huge upgrade from FSR 2.2. Competitive with DLSS imho
Only lastest game have it lol
Only matter if the games have it.
And at the end DLSS has more support
I find the DLSS and FSR conversations/arguments odd and disconnected. I play/talk to a bunch of pc who have no idea what those words even mean or if they even use it. It’s almost like RT if it’s not automatic set to it I’m sure a lot of ppl don’t use it.
Amdiots boasting their crappy app😂
I dunno top end cards but fsr definitely makes the rtx 2060 alot better
Many reviews have the 4070S at the same level or just below the 7900 GRE in terms of rasterized performance. Absolutely wins on RT though. As it stands I just don't care about ray tracing that much so I'm going to go with the 7900 GRE. I was considering the 4070 Ti S but that is a big jump in price
GRE is a great card and since AMD allow mem oc on the GRE its a great card, it will serve you well for years.
7900 GRE not that bad at RT either and you get more VRAM for heavy textures and mods.
It's like rtx 3000 lvl right@@SemperValor
Bought Rx 6700xt. Sapphire Nitro plus used with 6 months warranty left in 240 dollars
I think my GTX 1080 is a good value. Still works very well with everything I do with it. The 4790K/DDR3 1866/SATA3 SSD to 12400F/DDR5 6000/NVme M.2 SSD migration brought it to life while being able to feed the GPU more.
The RX 5700 XT and the RX 6700 XT is on par with that card. What a monster to last as long as it has.
Thats because recording reduces 10-30% of the actuall power.
Was happy with the performance. The driver not loading issues have made to return it today. 😢
At what resolution?
@@famousfighter2310 he said 4k bud
the sound quality is much better, i always preferred high-end condenser mic quality over dynamic ones even tho shure do make good sounding dynamic mics but daym, the quality of the high-end condenser mics is just insane, your voice now sounds a lot less muffled and much thicker and better overall
Still happy with my sapphire pulse 7900xtx for 800 euro second hand.
FSR 3.1 is out today and it's impressive. Also, an under volt drops 6750XT power use under 200 watts with no significant loss in performance.
Hi, what's your settings please ?
Scored a 3080 10gb for 353.00 out the door on Ebay a few weeks back.
FSR 3 is actually pretty damn good.
We also have AFMF2 coming soon.
ive owned a 6750xt for about 2 years and its been an absolute unit ive never had a problem that a normal user would have the only peculiar thing about it is that the coolers are overbuilt even with 2 fans meaning very heavy overclocking is possible and i would even recomend it
Decreased VRAM on 4060 is still crazy🤪
4080 doesn't have enough either for the core speed. it'll run out of vram in near future when more games are using 16gb+ like some are already.
my 3080 recently died and was considering the 4080s but honestly didn't need that extra performance but did want the extra vram so I just got the 4070ti super and it's great, the fact that it's using over a 100 watts less than the 3080 while still having 25% ish performance increase is pretty impressive
~17:00 I think you meant to say Nvidia DLSS is better than AMDs FSR for image quality 😂😅😉👍
Where did you buy
Thanks but ill wait for the 6090

@@me.2..nice
I paid $420 for my 6950 xt.
