    I’ve just had a gastric balloon 6 days ago and although the first day was horribly uncomfortable - the following days got better. I’m pretty lucky as I only had nausea for the first day and as the days went by - no nausea and the discomfort got less and less and I was able to start drinking more water and began eating very soft foods (eggs) by the fourth day. I only had nausea on the first day, after that it was more so uncomfortable having such a full stomach. I’ve lost 4 kg in 6 days and that’s not even exercising yet. I can’t wait to start exercising and see the results. I’m not very overweight, but I did have weight that would budge no matter what I did (belly fat) and this calorie forced deficit is now helping that weight shift. There’s only one thing I hate about having a gastric balloon and that is my husband cook delicious meals and deserts and I can’t partake! Even though I can’t eat doesnt mean the food doesn’t smell AMAZING! 🤤

    It’s been 7days since I had my procedure, the first 4 days was hell but it gets better as each day passes by and thanks to my support group. They are really helpful .

    I am a month in with the balloon and can honestly say it's been awful, the stomach pains are unreal, the nausea was dreadful - i have only JUST stopped being sick, but the worst thing by an absolute mile is the tiredness.... I'm literally crawling into bed about 8.30pm because I am so tired, to be fair i haven't even lost that much weight either, for the first two weeks I could barely eat a thing... I won't even go there with the belching and f@rting... that has just been the most embarrasing ever... I am at a loss really, everyone else seems to breeze through this and I , for whatever reason, am finding it one of the hardest things i've ever done... and I feel alone with no support...

      @@sss-r4990 In the end it took 5 weeks for all the above symptoms to go away - it wasn't pleasant at all - I am only 1.5st down, I do feel a lot better and I am glad I stuck with it although it was bad - I feel better mentally too. Before I was looking in the mirror and wanting to literally cry - I laothed myself on an epic scale - at the moment ,with the weight loss I feel much less inclined to hate on myself as much as I did. The balloon has taught me that even though I was eating really healthy stuff before (and was overweight) I was eating far too much of it... In fact I was eating and drinking far too much of every, single thing. i've learned you can survive on much less, not to eat like a little piggy and take time over food..... small portions, I now dish everything up on a side plate rather than a dinner plate.

    How is this different from starving yourself? Doesn't this mess up your metabolism?

    • @Daisynottheflower

      if youre over weight, then youre probably already eating too much for your activity level. this keeps me from feeling hungry, and helps me eat less as a result.

    • @anrojoo
      @anrojoo 16 дней назад

      It's no different at all, and of course it messes up your body and metabolism, people here feeling great about losing 6 kg in less than a week and thinking that's a good thing! Most of these people will regain that weight and more

    • @Didi8687

      The point of the balloon is to help you get back on track with disciplining yourself to eat the proper amount of food and choosing healthier options for 6 to 12 months.
      Its mind over matter. But if you feel like being obese is better than being disciplined, then keep doing what you're doing for the sake of being able to eat it all and as much of it.

  • @EezaLast

    I'm about to go through this procedure and I was under the impression that maybe in a month I'd be able to eat smaller amounts of what I'd typically eat. Rethinking my decision now reading responses of people on here. I am very obese so I really need something like this. Ozempic worked for me but there's still limited supply coming in 7 months after I had to stop taking it (because there was no supply at all where I live). I wish people who don't really need Ozempic stop taking it if they don't really need it so people like me don't have to consider uncomfortable procedures like this.

      my husband did the stuture (sewing ) where there are no cuts and I think that is a better option.
      they also go through the mouth. and he was fine the next day.

      If you could have, you would have. The balloon helps you to train your body and mind back to its original eating discipline.
