Never have I felt so sorry for a bunch of Depth Guard as I did watching that one unit advance under a hail of bullets, arrows, fireballs, and mortars. They stood no chance.
It seems you have not seen the clip of the depth guard that gets almost 1shoted by a mammoth
Seeing a depth guard die with 0 kills and 0 value must hurt so much.
Those Mortar Wagons combined with the other missile units were straight up giving those advancing zombos the Omaha Beach D-Day treatment. Steel, faith and gunpowder!
Which is even more hilarious when you take into account that The Empier is not-Germany. (I know its more Holly Roman but you get my point.)
@@florians9949 you're still right. HRE that Empire is based on was still referred to as Germany even before the establishment of the official nation state.
I like to think that Gotrek is intentionally defying his own healing ability just so that he can finally die once and for all.
damn thous depth guarda found them selves in the Normandy advance
Seeing Felix last game and now gotrek makes me happy, glad to see they weren’t completely left in the wh2 meta days. Also Gotrek’s healing mechanic is so scuffed I didn’t know he even had it until you mentioned it in this cast lol
Wiping out units regardless of their value is still pretty good. You have to consider what other unit could've even done that from the relative safety of range + mobility the wagons had? I think comparing things strictly for how much they cost and how much damage in gold they accrue isn't great. Like those infantry (and most chaff infantry generally) on point 2 didn't pay for themselves either but you wouldn't have won the game without them. It's possible some other unit could've done more or the same for cheaper, and that is important to evaluate as well. But you need those units that accomplish things strategically to enable the real value makers to even work or just hold on long enough to win often times.
Does anyone else feel bad for prof pwn? He's always getting beat down by Turin and posted to RUclips. :/
The Last Samurai Depth Guard at it again. Talk about integrated fires.
Oh hell yeah! Love me some off meta builds. Could you try out a Gelt + Double Warrior Priest build?
Happily!
awesome vids man. I play single player only so I enjoy your explanations on how things work in multiplayer. Take care stranger.
Cheers!
Against undead and daemon factions, the gold value stat is misleading, because it does not consider the crumbling/banish damage. So your Mortar wagon have probably gained more "actual" value than what is shown.
Also, the fact that it is difficult to shut them down is a fairly big benefit to such units.
Aw, my poor pirate zombos, it seem like the never stood a chance, they were on the back foot from like minute 1.
Honestly wagon mortars seem like a useful technical piece. Mortars that are extremely hard to shut down and provide some anti chaff arti ain't badly priced. Being able to scoot and shoot also means having to babysit it less, which means you save a bit on backfield protection
Idk I kind of like em
SIGMAR BLESS THIS RAVAGED BODY!!! You got to be a flagelant in order to enjoy tw wh. It took them 2 sequels to figure out a game mode that prevents draw kiting, corner camping and forest camping from being an effective strategy. I used to q dodge wood elves 100% of the time, because lame ppl would play them a lot and always draw kite you if they could not rout you by the time their skirmish cav only build runs out of ammo. Or they would forest camp you with a durthu build. And then there were those rangers only builds by dwarfs or the dreaded dwarf corner camp noob box with a ton of gyros. Sometimes i would just alt f4 at the start of the match when i see the build.
Mortars in general need a serious buff, like more accuracy, more splash, more AP damage, all the good stuff because mortar suck especially if you compare them to caskets or Skaven mortars or high arc units, it's not even funny how big the difference is. And pointless units in a roster are just a lost opportunity to get a diverse meta.
Maaan, looking at undead units being in the crumbling state for more than a minute and still being alive just furthermore grinds my gears about that whole mechanic.
Something about that fireball at 8:30 clotheslining like a single depth guard combined with the muted scream was absolutely hilarious to me; I'm not sure why.
The Skaven in a trenchcoat comes for our warpstone! Banish him back to the pits! (Stupid Telagram impersonations scam)
mb use the mobility and toughness of the mortar wagon to move it closer to the front line, increasing its accuracy/decreasing projectile travel time.
Cylostra getting destroyed while fighting some crappy swordsmen was peak bronzodia.
Yes, the Empire is very reactionary but compared to Bretonnia they are the poster child of progress! Jokes aside, I think the word that you were looking for is reactive. ;)
The abuses of unsummoning are not stupid... It's the whole unsummoning mechanic that seems stupid to me... if CA gets rid of unsummon all the abuses are gone.
The thumbnail for this is one of the best, It makes me think when I was a kid I had a real life MORTAR wagon
Preface this by saying I've not played much multiplayer myself, but if its like 40k then cheap artillery is really good to just point at low tier infantry you have a grudge against
Don’t play a ton of multiplayer so this might be foolish but why not hold the crest of the hill to mitigate vampires coasts guns?
How is it possible that no one has given props to this epic thumbnail yet? 10/10
Let’s see the Black Lions RoR next! The haggard helblasters
i clicked to watch this just for the mortar in the red wagon thumbnail!
Gotrek has a healing mechanic? I didnt even know :D
I saw some testing, and Gotrek with Felix support can defeat pretty much anything in the game in melee! Even Kugath with healing doesn't stand a chance.
Even if they focus Felix first? He isn't that tough, and can't put his ward save on himself, right?
Got back into Medieval II, since it released for IPad, and damn does powder suck in that game compared to TWW. Cool battle to watch.
Surprised you didn't have more shielded infantry than you did.
Why did the huntsman general do the bright wizard dirty 6:16 lol
This games fun but I can only run it on low and small unit scale 😢
You gotta find better players my man
sigmars firepower too much for the damp boatmen
Turin, for the next doubles game could you run a Dawi-Empire alliance? I would love to see a hero squad of Thorek with Gotrek and Felix and the empire taking Franz with some caster and a warrior priest to buff the dawi.
That depth guard charge was just the sweetest last samurai charge of doom. Does it count when they're infantry? It does when they all die, Cotton.
You know for the weak to fire combo there is a battle prayer man that has an item that gives constant fire AOE damage for nearby units so that plus fire wizard with flammable thing could be very strong
Gotrek carried that game like he Carrie’s the whole series setting: just being too damn badass to die
Those depth guards going through the Normandy landing.😂
I want to see mortar wagons in a haggard 2v2. Pair empire with dwarves and have an engineer restock them
For the Empire!
I love this channel but I really wish it was recorded in 21:9, but I get why it's not.
GG
I could swear I heard something about an AOE stream wednesday
5pm PT
I actually kinda like the silostra cheese as a concept. Sure its unbalanced but I always go way positive as maliketh or belacor etc.
