That grabber lime green colour is stunning, beautiful car, i think those 10 speed auto gt mustangs are capable of hitting 60mph in 3.9 seconds but must be hard trying to launch with no wheelspin in first couple of gears given the power this thing puts out 460 bhp, what a car, might upgrade from my 2017 ecoboost mustang in a couple of years an get this gt 10 speed in either green or orange 👍👍🏴

For a 10 speed, i was expecting it to be struggling to workout what the best gear is. But for it to shift from 6th to a confident 2nd, thats pretty impressive.

2. Streetfighter Oil Separator Kit
3. H&R Springs (30mm drop)

Yep, agree. But as mentioned in the video the conditions were slightly cooler during Vbox testing - the video is shot separately.
@DeathDae ...about 5 to 16 degrees Celcius are best for performance! Over 28 you are loosing at least 10-15 hp!

That's a high redline for a crossplane V8, cool engine. It's a shame we don't get the flatplane 350 here in Australia.

Flat plane crossplane try not to be too technical. Cross plane sounds better and yes the gt500 is a cross plane so as others hemi, lt1 and so on. Flatplane is overused word.

@@lilporno6583 mate, Ferrari and other euro cars have been using flat plane for a long time. No one ever mentiom a Ferrari or lotus with a flat plane. Now all of a sudden flat plane is the word of the day. Flat plane this flat plane that therefore it is overused. A normal 10 speed gt can beat a 350 making it redundant that's why Ford discontinued the model.

@@craigfleming8849 - the Mustang is slightly lighter than a VFSS and has 50-60kw more power! And with the 10 speed auto should feel, and be, faster. As powerful rear drivers get beyond 350kw at the engine, they don’t really get much quicker to 100km/h. Tyres, surface and traction control becomes dominant factors. 0-100 times get more and more inconsistent.

Yes, cooler temps would see slightly quicker times.
Most punters will get times of 4.8secs to 5.6secs with an average of low 5’s. Just depends on road type, tyre wear and warmth, air temp and heat soak. A reliable low 5 sec car and a unicorn late 4 sec car when all conditions are favorable. Depends whether you’re interested in median average, or unicorn times. Most Aussie blokes (and journalists) can’t resist quoting the unicorn times though. Most don’t advertise how many times it takes to get a powerful Rear driver to get a decent time. Manuals are horribly inconsistent. In a Mustang’s case - a reliable late 5 sec car
And who are you to say that? A nobody... I know plenty of mustang gt a10 owners that know how to drive there car hard can get mid 4s, everytime. On the street in dry condition. No unicorn here. Plz stop the rubbish

I have a black 2020 10 speed and hit 0-100kmh in 4.53 seconds. All I have to say is this car is insane anything that is naturally aspirated and can hit under 5 seconds to 100kmh is a quick car.

@@lexman8678 What do you mean? Go to any drag strip and you will see everyone doing a burnout before they do their run regardless of ambient temps. Tyres need heat in them.
@@lukesm5747 tyre temp has nothing to do with the times. I have a 2018 Mustang GT which is mechanically identical. Burnout or no burnout, same time. Track surface would get the car deep into the 12s but everywhere else, the car does struggle to put the power down. Great fun car though.
@@stevanford1Absolute BS. My xr6 turbo being another high torque RWD car puts its power down significantly better when there is warmth into the tyres by doing burnout and with thr correct tyre pressures.

The aggressive shifts are in Drag Strip mode. In Race mode the shifts are smoother.

This car has to be loved :) otherwise it’s very inconsistent on start. I own manual believe me. It’s an art to properly launch the car. You can be ashamed by any 300hp awd car. Breaking and cornering on PS4s is fantastic but acceleration is far from perfect. When you catch the traction later it’s no problem when the mass of the car is on the back. However on the track very solid behavior on hot tires non doubt. Think about it as unique GT nowadays not boy racer.
Mustang V8 is very nice car but if Dodge would sell RHD Challenger here in UK I would not be ordering a Mach1.

For 10 gears, why make 1st and 2nd so long?
Don't loose to much traction....
Even with 10 speeds, if you're flooring it, you're not gonna get to 10th gear. Ford demonstrated this in an animation while using an F-150. With light throttle you'd be skipping gears 1 3 5 7, etc. With hard throttle for what ford demonstrates as passing, you'll be going through the gears like 1 2 3, etc. So if you're using it on the track, or just having fun etc, you won't be using all 10 speeds in the first place.
@@smr0m670 Exactly. On top of that it only hits 6th at 260kmh with the speed limiter. Without the limiter it would be capable of hitting 310+ kmh.

A lot depends on the driver and preparation. Tyre pressure etc at eastern creek my brother done 12.2 seconds 0-400m a week old at the time - totally stock.

Hm, so the car I ordered is actually faster from 0-100 than this one. It does however, not have that sweet V8 sound. Lovely stock sound on this one, in track mode.
0-100kph in 5sec. That's ain't good. A Golf R hits 4.7sec. Ford needs to sort out the launch.

My 2021 Mustang GT premium was a big lemon. I could live with the cheap plastic interior and glitchy electronics but the clucky garbage 6 speed manual transmission was just garbage! I'm not the only one who thinks so, look at the class action that has been launched against Ford. Fortunately I was able to sell it and buy a real car from another manufacturer. It's no wonder Ford stopped building cars...I'll never buy another Ford...EVER!
