I'm there with you...I have only owned 8 mustangs but have had a few of the best going back to a '65 k code and a 2000 Cobra R model....and my last car was a 2018 Porsche GT2 RS (I currently own a 2022 Ferrari F8)...but the GTD has my full attention.

Henry Ford knew what he was doing when he laid out the v8 flathead firing order and it gave us the coyote. What an amazing run, id love to hear the entire lap.
The firing order just comes from them both having crossplane cranks, chevy, plymouth, chrysler, dodge, etc... all had this firing order. Ford was not an engine genius lmao, he made cheap cars on purpose. The flathead was a slug of a truck engine that often made less than 100 hp and couldn't rev past 4000 rpm. The coyote is dual overhead cam, and revs to the moon with really high compression.

Lose-lose across the board for the ZR1. Even if it has a 100 hp advantage, it won’t matter at the track.
man i'm not sure you can get much more serious with this car. Reality sets in its still a non carbon chassis stock Mustang just like the GT3. yes i know vette is not carbon tubbed but its still shaped like a ultra sports car.
Many people have commented about how loud the GT500 is when they were following it and the Shelby was flat out. Some saying it's the loudest production car they've ever heard...at least American. Same predator motor in this GTD and it sounds even louder at times. Crazy.
Notice the different exhaust in the beginning and end. From what I read in an article they had to do something about the exhaust noise since it was too loud.
As a huge Camaro fan, I cannot deny but fathom this beast. This is by far the best post-1970 Mustang I've ever seen. I cannot forgive GM for doing injustice to the Camaro. It would have been amazing to see a ramped-up ZL1 Camaro with similar specs. Q

Looks good at speed. Nice proportions, Ford did a great job with the stance of this vehicle. The nose looked a little bit reluctant to turn in, but I'm sure the setup is being dialed in for the perfect balance. It'll be great to see what the press cars deliver. Great job Ford!

I own a manual 2012 BMW E92 M3 Coupe (Competition Package) and due to the Euro Regs agenda of rendering the combustion engine extinct, their used prices are now soaring because it’s N/A 4.0L S65 V8 ensures it is now a collector’s item. This is showing 3 different versions on the track! Look at the beginning @0:44 when the car enters the track, it looks like a finished exhaust, nice and clean. Then look @0:59, it has bare exhaust tips pointing at a 45 deg angle inward, then @1:13 it's a different bare exhaust pointing straight down. Again @3:08 we're back to the first exhaust set up.

Stunning, gorgeous, looks fast af out there and my only issue with the GTD is that Ford isnt building 10x more of them for 1/3 the price, so many more people could enjoy this amazing sports car.
Performance cars are to be enjoyed by the rich only nowadays and soon all muscle cars will be just as elitist.
It’s a $300k car and you’re paying for $300k of performance. This is like buying a Z4 GT3 with better suspension and livable on the street.
They have Mustang's at every price point though, you can't expect a business to sell a product at a HUGE loss, I mean if we want that we should be focusing on Food and Medicine way before luxuries like a track car lol.
The Mustang has been a car for the blue collar for a long time, I'm not very wealthy and I'm able to get one, that I am grateful for.

The limited edition build runs are responsible for driving up the prices, making them unattainable for the average man and even out of reach for well-heeled car enthusiasts due to these cars’ exclusivity. This worrying trend has made supercar and performance car markets for the rich only and now we’re unfortunately witnessing the modern era of the muscle car well on it’s way to becoming just as elitist in the not too distant future. Look at the price of the C8 Z06 for e.g. In Australia, a 2016 C7 Z06 costs $260K and a base Dark Horse costs $100K for a starting point (which are pointless without many of the options which alarmingly drive up the final price). I own a manual 2012 BMW E92 M3 Coupe (Competition Package) and due to the Euro Regs agenda of rendering the combustion engine extinct, their used prices are now soaring because it’s N/A 4.0L S65 V8 ensures it is now a collector’s item.
Edit : Same will happen to every V8 muscle car.

This is showing 3 different versions on the track! Look at the beginning @0:44 when the car enters the track, it looks like a finished exhaust, nice and clean. Then look @0:59, it has bare exhaust tips pointing at a 45 deg angle inward, then @1:13 it's a different bare exhaust pointing straight down. Again @3:08 we're back to the first exhaust set up.
