On my 2017 Suburban it was the purge valve on the intake manifold then the vent valve solenoid back by the spare tire. I let our dealership deal with the last one. Since I live on a gravel road they cut off the end of that vent hose and extended the end to the engine compartment with roughly 20 feet of heater hose. This has prevented the vent valve from getting filling with gravel and dust.
2008 chevy tahoe I had a problem like the car cutting gas when I pressed the accelerator. I replaced the vent valve & purge valve & charcoal canister.. problem solved and the car running happy
I have a 2009 suburban. I got an ECL, was able to read a P0449 code. I ordered the part from Amazon, and while at it, measured the resistance of the original coil. The ohmmeter showed the coil was open. I measured the resistance of the new one, I recall it was about 21 ohms. Once the small cable adapter comes in, I'll go ahead and swap the parts. If I were smart, I'd swap the parts right now and when the cable comes in, drop the tire and attach the cable, but I'll wait. Thanks for the video, don't know what we would do without them. Jim
I have a 2007 Tahoe, and the problem is in the gas stations, it always stops filling, but there is no check engine in the dashboard. Is the problem just the Vapor Canister ?
It might be. The square part on the end is a vent with a foam filter in it that gets clogged over time. It might be working well enough for the engine but might be partially plugged and not letting enough air to escape when you fill up. You might be able to just clean that filter and solve the problem. But I can't say for sure that's your problem....
great video for be a not mechanic, I have 2007 gmc Yukon Denali with those kind it code po446 & po496 I'm going to start replacing the purge solenoid, probably my issue is the canister thank you for your help & share you video, very thankful from Connecticut
The fuel cap can fail inside out of site. Another common issue is corrosion on the fuel pump/sender assembly which can let air in without necessarily leaking fuel. Gotta love road salt.
3:32 surprised that my 2011 Suburban did not have that "second connector", just a straight wire connection. Instead having to unplug it @ the solenoid and breaking the latch lock while still under my car was "fun".
There is also selinoid on the front top left behind alternator it's easy to get to so yes there's that one for the rear and then there's one for the front v8 5.3 liter 4x4😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
I replaced this, the canister, and the one under the hood. Im still having issues filling my 08 yukon up. Any suggestions cause im aggravated at this point?
If the vent is still plugged at the tank or the hoses are pinched this might happen. Also, the little filter on the vent tube can get plugged if road debris gets to it.

How much was it to get done?

I just found the lower hose leading to charcoal canister has a tear in it. Hopefully replacing it solves it.

@@SevenFortyOne I would like to add something
I changed the fuel pump in the fuel tank less than a month ago
@@FelNoobs Maybe you pinched a vent line when you put things back together? Hard to say without being able to see things in person

My cap ended up being good. I bought a new one and it didn't make a difference. The problem ended up being the fuel tank pressure sensor...
Thanks for this nice vid bud realy easy & helpful

Why is the vent zip tied by the filler neck. Shouldn’t it be connected into the goose neck gas hose ?
The vent needs to be up high to keep road spay out. The other end connects in to the evap system
Did you jack the car up or not?
No
Me too I replaced
But engine lite still on what’s next?

I know about the one near the engine but it wasn't a problem on my car so I didn't change it
