On source device:
1.Go to settings-Chats-Chats Backup-Google Account
2. Select your Google Account
3. Tap Backup
4. Turn on the 'Include Video' button to backup your video files
On target device:
1. Enter verify code to activate WhatsApp in new device
2. Tap continue
3. Tap Allow
4. Tap Allow
5. Tap Resore
6. Press next when backup is done
7. Now you can see all your data is transferred safely

1. Connect both your devices to the computer by USB cables
2. Open MobileTrans, go to WhatsApp Transfer
3. Follow the steps in the pop-up window to turn on permissions
Settings--About Phone-Tap MIUI version/Build number for seven times--go to developer options--turn on USB debugging
4. Click on next
5. Click on start
6. Follow the steps in pop-up window
Settings--Chats--Chats backup--Backup

Hi, can one of these options work if i am using an old whatsapp without sim card. can i transfer it to a new phone ? Theres a fourth method actually, but involves apps2sd pro on a rooted phone. It actually allows for a complete clone of the app without the need to verify the number. Essentially allowing you to make as many copies as required on any device and simultaneously

Hello, I have used the way #3. It works. But I have a question. miniSD card (with WhatsApp backup) is still in the phone. Can I take it out? Is forwarded backup in internal memory now or still in the miniSD card? Waiting for your reply :)

for option 1, did you take the sim card from the old device (after backing it up) and transfer to the new device? i'm having some trouble restoring the backup on my new device but it might be b/c i have not switched out the sim cards during the process. also, since i tried this several times and it did not work, i'm getting a long wait time to get a sms or call in order to get a verification code. i now have to wait 24 hours. is there a way to shorten this process?

I want to transfer my Whatsapp from Note 10+ to Note 20 Ultra and I have an SD card I use on the Note 10+ and there is plenty of available storage on the SD card..Can I back up the WhatsApp to the existing SD card without losing any data that is there currently? What if during uploading the backup file to google account there is new incoming chat messages since we usually have lots of groups in whatsapp. Am pretty sure those new messages won't appear in that backup file & when we restore back to same account on new phone those latest messages will be missing, right? How to avoid this?
If you use the first option and your backup is 15gb, doesnt it take forever to download on your other phone? If you have slow internet

Download whatsapp after entering the new sim in new phone... that worked for me otherwise it didn't show my backup option in new phone. I uninstalled whatsapp in the new phone and then again installed it to get the backup option

Why at the end of the third method the time of the restore ( yesterday 12:03 pm) is not the same time of backup did some minutes earlier..??? I did 2 days ago the Google drive procedure but now I have in gallery app all media wasap that has the date tima of 2 days ago.. It's a totally a mess.. Could you please check if also in your new phone all the media.. Maybe 10000.. Are all in the app gallery not the proper date but all with date of 2 day ago?

Hello. Z Fold 2 not being detected under the VIBER restore. I created a backup file from my Iphone and when I plugged the Z Fold, it's not detected so I can't restore my viber messages.
What if the backup was done on a different Google account then the default when setting up the phone. How will Whatsapp know which Google account to pull the backup from?
Why is it that my phone only restores only the chat backups from Google Drive that were made from my current phone, but not my previous phone or the SD card with my previous phones WhatsApp folder.

@@john6339ef Make sure your whatsapp folder with the messages you need is in the same storage of your whatsapp, normally whatsapp is installed into internal storage good luck.

The 3rd technique, can it be done using an OTG drive? Can I just copy the "database" folder which contains the .db file? Should I paste the folder in the internal memory? Or whatsapp will scan the OTG drive and take it from there? Using mobiletrans doesn't seems to copy all chats over. Only one chats is seen on the new device.
