Looking to transfer clone wtsapp from old phone to new one and its not happening, please help. The okd phone has 2 wtspp of separate numbers using the phone's clone app features like parallel space. The prinary wtspp went to new phoen just fine, its the clone app secondary one which is neither making backup to google drive , nor showing its local backup file for transferring it. Phone is oppo f5
Thanks for the video. I have tried for the past 2 days to find a way to transfer without cloud nor a third-party software. I did not want to pay for that. So I have samsung S23 , your video inspired me to find a new way to transfer everything on WhatsApp with just the PC alone, no third party software , and no cloud , just a PC and USB cable :).

No it doesn't use data. It will use Internet if it searches for local backups and non found in the phone

I already registered my new phone wIth my phone number after installing whatsapp. I guess during the process it took an old backup from google drive. I didn't do any back up in my old phone right before I registered my phone number in my new phone. I can now only see very few contacts in my new phone. I don't see any media associated with chats. Is there any way I can get back all the whatsapp contacts and whatsapp media and chat history from my old phone into my new phone?
Yes, login again to the old phone WhatsApp with the same number if you have not uninstalled WhatsApp from the old phone. Log back in and use the method I used here to transfer all the chat history in the old phone to the new phone

Yes, but just make sure that your offline backup is newer than your last Google drive backup else it will always choose the newest backup based on time of backup.
Hello, do you know what would happen if the new cell phone had a different gmail account than the old one?
You can manually transfer (move) your full WhatsApp to another phone without needing Gmail account. Same Gmail account becomes necessary if you want to restore WhatsApp backup uploaded to the Gmail account to a new phone, you must add the Gmail account that holds the backup in the new phone. Apart from that, you can do your transfer manually and even choose to start backing up to another Gmail account after you have manually restored.

I have a galaxy A70 with previous whatsapp installed on it and a pixel 7 never installed whatsapp on it. I want to see the old chat history and media files family members sent and received on the galaxy A70 phone. I dont have the sim card originally used on the galaxy A70, is there a way for me to see all the whatsapp history and media files exactly the moment when galaxy A70 whatsapp was stopped ?
You can see the media files as they are in the WhatsApp folder but if you don't verify the same number on another phone, you won't get back the chat history

If your WhatsApp is banned, you can't transfer and restore your backup to another phone successfully. You cannot also switch number of a WhatsApp account that is banned

No sir. Also note that you cannot transfer your chat history to another phone on a different WhatsApp number account with this method. It has to be same number (account)

That's the biggest problem for billions of users. Apple won't let that happen, Meta is not making it easy and there's not much Android or Google can do about it. There are only paid apps that can do that

If the lost chat history was lost on iPhone you may not get it back if you didn't do iCloud or iTunes backup

I tried it with WhatsApp Business but it didn't work like that because after sending the the WA Business folder to the new phone only few chats showed and they didn't load after logging in with the same number. It was just there.

When do you remove sim card from old phone? When do you insert sim card into new phone?
You only need sim card for OTP verification and you can still do that even when the sim is in another phone. If the sim is in the new phone, then better

45GB of WhatsApp data? Are you related to Mark Zuckerberg? 😂 This method is like your best option because uploading that size to Google Drive may fail. Backup WhatsApp in the old phone and copy the whole WhatsApp folder 📂. If your new phone is running Android 12 and above, the WhatsApp folder location won't be the same with the older phone so, let me know which Android version is on the new phone
@@SmartDepot 😂 actually even I subs for gdrive 100gb it cannot backup to gdrive since it says need both to internal drive too. its is an accumulated messages for 7yrs perhaps. We are trying this method still.. let me tell you once succeed. Hope other method is possible 🙏 we have had switch from phone to phone, hope messages won't lost. Sadly, I tried following your guide, but when I get to step 3 and install Whatsapp on the phone, it needs to connect online and once I validate it , it doesn't prompt the restore
What Android version is the new phone using? Did you give the necessary permissions? Did you copy the full WhatsApp folder with the local backup from the old phone to the new phone? Where did you place it?
@@SmartDepot I created the backup and then moved (all 15gb) of it to the new phone and placed in the folder you describe. (Internal storage/Android/media/com.whatsapp). Latest Android. I don't remember the permissions. Now it shows the chats but only new stuff is coming in. As I said, it didn't prompt the restore
What Android version is on the new phone? If it is less than Android 12, copy it to Internal storage root storage internal storage/WhatsApp.
Make sure you copied the full WhatsApp folder 📂 not just the backup. Go the settings, Apps, All apps, scroll down to WhatsApp and click on it click on app permissions and give it storage permission.
Make sure that you backup your WhatsApp 15+GB backup. On the new phone clear WhatsApp data, give WhatsApp storage permissions, copy your backup to the appropriate folder depending on Android version, verify your number again in the WhatsApp app and see if it works. I just which I am there with you
@@SmartDepot Thanks for the clarification. It was Android 9 so I did what you recommended. It "worked", but a lot of the sound clips lost their "waveform" and now they show like an attachment. It looks like it's updating something else, so I'll wait and see how it ends. Thanks for your help!
It usually updates - that is the process that will help it align every record whether the backup is from cloud or local. Hopefully your wave files are OK when it is done but at least, you've got a lot of things back

No way! For iOS, backup with iCloud or ITunes

In my new phone new whatsapp if I already restore the google drive whatsapp backup, can I follow the steps in your whole video to replace my new phone whatsapp folder with the old phone whatsapp folder (folder that was inside the old phone)? 2. Can replace the xender step by connecting a usb cable to pc, so I copy whatsapp folder from old phone to paste in pc, then copy whatsapp folder from pc to paste in new phone? 3. What happens if I only copy and paste the WhatsApp/Databases folder (and did not copy any other files), does it mean the chat history will only have complete text without photos and videos? Interesting questions. Let me try and answer them sequentially.
#1 if you already restored via Google drive and your chat history is up to date, you won need to follow my steps. However, you can copy the contents of the old phone /WhatsApp folder (copy contents inside sun folders and place them in the new phone inside the same name of the subfolder in the new phone). This will give you access to some media files that may not have been backed up by Google drive.
#2 Yes you can but copying with USB to PC is so slow because of thumbnail files.
#3 database is where the local backups are stored, if you copy only that, it will restore only the chat history text (no media will be restored.

8. 2:31min Whatsapp>top right 3 dots>settings>chats>chat backup you click on backup is it doing the whole complete backup of whatsapp into your internal phone storage? If for google drive to have whole complete backup is it you need to enable the [Include videos] at the bottom?

Wow! What a detailed questions.
#1 you need to turn on data or connect to Wi-Fi to initiate the OTP.
#2 If you have done a recent WhatsApp backup to Google drive then you may want to turn off internet connection immediately the app starts looking for backups. If there is no internet connection, whatsapp will only look fir backup locally. Sometimes it takes time. Alternatively, you can remove the Google drive account that you used to make backup before from your phone before restoring that way you can leave the Internet on

I just checked and found out that the WhatsApp folder in my internal storage is no longer there. Why did WhatsApp do this without any information?
They did that because of Google's new restrictions in Android 12. And in their terms and conditions, they have the right to make such changes without prior notice.

Just download and install WhatsApp in the new phone and the folder will be created

If you transferred it from share it app, it will be inside share it folder in the new phone. If the new phone is up to Android 11, you will have to copy or move the WhatsApp folder copied from the old phone to the new phone's internal storage/Android/media/com.whatsapp
