    • @wayannurlangga4439
      @wayannurlangga4439 5 лет назад +32

      maybe for those who wondering how much the truck engine weight. although the engine size , and the 'look' on Lada pretty much explain how heavy the truck engine is.. 😄

    • @Debbiebabe69
      @Debbiebabe69 5 лет назад +31

      Given that in a *modern* car (with stock engine) the difference between having a 100kg total driver and passenger and a 150kg total driver and passenger is very noticeable on the suspension, having 330kg of extra engine certainly will make a difference.....

    • @1300l
      @1300l 5 лет назад +4

      Idk, considering how much more torque it can produce (maybe even more power compared to an old Lada engine), i would say it isn't much.

    • @Debbiebabe69
      @Debbiebabe69 5 лет назад +17

      Looking at it that way, true.
      But the simple fact is, 330 extra kg over those 2 little tiny tyres is a LOT of extra mass....
      Certainly WAY over the safe loading limit of the tyres.
      That car would have a max payload of around 250kg. Therefore the engine would make it overweight even with NO driver and NO fuel!

    Make a nice custom hood cowl by reinforcing the inside of the hood with a metal template (the cut-off bottom of a turkey baking pan) which you spot weld on. Then cut out the shape in the hood. Cut one side off the remaining rimless turkey baking pan remnant and face it toward the windshield to fit it. Attach tabs from the remnant to the motor. Spraypaint all pieces white.

    I think you should try to save the hood as much as possible. Weld up pipes for the manifolds and have them come up through the hood like we do on American tractor pull trucks. Either cut out a hole for the air cleaner or build your own huge scoop over it from sheet metal. Radiator can sit where the back seat was with electric fans, run metal tube for coolant with rubber flex hose for engine and radiator connections.. Widen the rear rims, that Lada will look like a sweet drag car, it looks mean already. I'm really liking this one guys! :) Hello from Texas!
