Dual transmissions are pretty common when people do it themselves, they're set up end to end and make a 1 to 1 ratio, and go 1 2 3 4 and 4 3 2 1 to get a higher end speed, that's the power of gear ratios
Offroaders have two gearboxes, one primarly to choose 1-6 or more, just basic gears and another gearbox with two gears high and low, the low range is for driving offroad, when you need more torque, and high range for normal roads

Dubble gearbox is normal in Sweden. Thats a way to restrict the car to 30km/h and then it is ok to drive the car as an 15 year old. Google "a-traktor/epa-traktor"

iirc these engines are designed to be versatile and run on several kinds of fuel including ethanol, stale petrol, kerosene etc, by design the economy has to be awful for there to be headroom to use these alternative fuels out in the field. you're looking at about a litre per minute.

The original carbuertor seems so small for a 7 liter engine i would put it on a 2.0L max.
