This video provides assistance in changing out the nozzle assembly of the Dremel 3D45 printer.
Excellent Commentary. Much needed advise and so well presented.
THIS is what makes RUclips such a valuable resource. This video was superbly presented and gives me precision information that I will no doubt need in the not-too-distant future. Thanks for making it!
Incredibly informative video!! I am looking to do this replacement on a Dremel 3d20, do you know if there are any major differences?
Thank you so much for your note on moving the leveling switch arm out of the way. That's what I was missing.
Thanks for the help!
You are a lifesaving
Thank You!!!!!
Are you able to just replace the nozzle?
So for step 4 a what happens if my printer never had that screw
Very helpful
Any idea why after doing this my temperature heating isn't reaching the necessary levels to print?
Thank you for your help
Before I listened to your video, I removed the set screw. Can you provide some details on how you managed to replace it! Thanks.
Have you tried to print TPU with this unit? My first attempts were successful… recently, it appears not to be feeding the material, as if it’s slipping (not grabbing)… I will remove the extrude and try to clean.
Have you tried a flexible filament?(tpu).. my first attempts went well.. recently the extruder isn’t feeding.. I will attempt to clean.. can it be adjusted?
I would just suggest, for anyone attempting this, is do whatever you can not to pull the connector out by tugging on the wires. The pins inside there are very flimsy and are held in there by a tab that's less than 1mm long. Not worth having to buy pins and a crimper if one breaks.
Where do you buy these parts. I can't get a response from Dremel.
Any luck finding parts reliably? I think Dremel has sold off their 3d printers to 3PI(?) but I can't find much in terms of repair parts and mine just had a meltdown.
@@MMedleyW No, but if its the filament sensor I found that just unplugging the connection from the filament sensor causes my printer to work again. Although it can't tell when it's out of filament.
Had problems with filament clogging in mine and learned I need to buy the whole assembly instead of just the hot end and only Dremel sells them so their price is what you pay. Wish I knew this before buying one.
Why edit the video? You literally don't even show how you took off the housing after thwr bottom screw..
Extruder completely dead..nothing driving the motor after strong burning circuit board smell. Did have problems with machine physically crashing (motors losing step) before the extruder failed. My award winning machine became landfill overnight after many hundreds if not thousands of print hours.
Fixed it! Can’t miss the stepper motor driver with the big crater in it on the logic board.l!
Ordered new chip for $7 from DigiKey.
Printing like new; as if nothing bad ever happened! All axis keeping position.
