Jane is in her late sixties or early seventies now, and still easy on the eyes. And if Chris was still here, you know he'd still have his looks as well.
@@riobrasilsambashowssambist1453He is like every man walking downtown Manhattan. Difference celebrity status. It is a fact it effects the mind & emotions.
Movies about "time" are always profoundly moving, and this film is no exception. The emotions are just overwhelming - screws with your head for a few days before returning to normal.
It’s harsher in hindsight when he says he will go mad if she doesn’t go out with him, because in the end he does essentially go mad when they’re separated.
She did. Possibly still carries a torch for him to this day. She even named one of her sons after him, but her son's name starts with a K instead of a C like his did. I don't blame her for loving Chris; he was very easy to love. A flesh-and-blood Adonis, but blessed with a fine, kind, gentle heart and humble spirit. Men like him do not come along very often anymore, sadly.
I read the novel the movie was based on as a teenager, it was called "Bid Time Return " and it was so imaginative and detailed, you could really believe time travel was possible. However, the man was dying of a brain tumor when he traveled to the hotel so there was the real possibility he imagined his whole experience, kind of like self hypnosis. That novel is hard to find these days, and if you can find it, its expensive.
Why do I feel like this is the ultimate romantic movie but for men? Superman becomes a time-traveler to woo a strongminded and beautiful actress from the 1910's. What more can you ask for! 😄
They're in the year 1912, remember? It would have been highly indecent for a woman to be in her nightgown and robe in public. I did read that there were women in various states of undress on deck the night the Titanic sank, but considering the circumstances and how time consuming it was for women to get dressed back then, that is understandable.
It’s Not Creepy If You’re Handsome. Most Girls Want This Level Of Persistence. They Want To Be Able To Say No, And Then Yes. But They Want It From A Handsome Guy. An Ugly Guy Cannot Do This. But The Woman Has To Be Beautiful And Higher Class In Manner Herself To Inspire This Level Of Chase In A Man. Basically This Is Hot People Stuff. 🙌🏻
It’s not creepy if the guy isn’t creepy and you like him. If he is giving off negative, manipulative, and controlling vibes it’s not going to work no matter what he looks like.
@@ravenel2 "negative, manipulative, and controlling vibes" literally the only reason a woman would think a guy gives of these vibes is if he's ugly, so you might as well just have said that instead.
I watched this movie at Rex Cinema at Port Klang, Malaysia in 1981 at night. That was.43 years ago. The Rex Cinema building still standing and exist until today.
The very same! Chris Reeve was an extremely versatile actor, but most people only seem to remember him for Superman, or "that guy who was paralyzed after falling off a horse", unfortunately.
Highly recommend. I was introduced to it last year and I'm happy I did track it down. If you love Titanic and Kate and Leopold (well Titanic mainly) then you will love this film. Its also got a very haunting score by John Barry.
@@Disney65Fan May I remind you, that this film, as beautiful as it was, still is, was a forbearance and actually paved the way to the movie Titanic. Probably one of the most visually pretty movies ever made.
I mean no one can refuse either one of them, they are extremely beautiful.

I just don't see it. I guess i am so used to ppl getting work done... Christopher Reeves is.drop dead gorgeous

These 2 actors were in their *prime* during this era.
Jane Seymour timeless goddess
1:12 🤪😅"Young woman, if you don't walk with me, I shall go mad! *Positively insane,* and do crazed things to myself!"
How Jane kept a straight face when Chris said that particular line, I'll never know. I wouldn't have been able to quit laughing!
Unsurprisingly foreshadows the end
"do crazed things to myself"
probably the way he spent his evenings the days before he traveled back in time, while thinking about her lol

That was so cute the way he asked her.
She is truly one of the most believable actresses in the history of movie making.
Everything right about this scene it really feels like it was filmed early morning
She says to be quiet but she slammed the door 3 times😂
I can't believe this. I see you everywhere, on all the Fred Astaire/Ginger Rogers movies AND NOW HERE!
Good lord, this is more than a coincidence!

Jane Seymour was so stunning in this film. As for Christopher Reeves by god he was so so handsome.

Their chemistry was imppecable. I love the way she looks at him. ❤️

Just the best movie ever made.
Ah,nostalgia movie
I wish this kind of romantic behavior wasnt look down upon as creepy. Thats why its difficult to pull off this romance
