A 3 hour presentation on how I play GOLF. Once you purchase this video you will be emailed a link to watch and rewatch it. Make sure you enter your email when finalizing the purchase. Thank you in advance.
There are many ways to play golf. The amateur golfer tries to do too much. Heres an easy way to play golf
Absolutely can’t get enough of this kind of golf. ⛳️ seriously appreciate what you do for us. 💙🍺🏆
Thanks for watching. -Jimmy www.tropicanagolfshop.com
Two takeaways from this great session: I like how your swing thoughts are simple and consistent each time you're on the tee. You don't replay the last shot and tell yourself "I gotta adjust this" or "Don't do that". Secondly, you keep calm and accept the outcome of each shot without overcoaching yourself. I've had the tendency to do that, so I'm gonna work on staying in the moment.
love to hear it. thank you for watching and I hope this works for you.
Jimmy your the best teacher of golf I have seen on RUclips. Every body says to do all these crazy swings. You always simplify the game. I watch your videos over and over again. Thanks and keep going. God bless you 😇🙏⛳
Keep it simple. Keep it smooth.
Probably one of the best golfing videos I’ve watched. Down to earth, simple instructions, and easy to understand….. Thanks!!!!!
Thats amazing. Thanks for watching
A new nickname “FAIRWAY JIMMY”. Good stuff!
Thanks for watching. - jimmy www.tropicanagolfshop.com
Pure, simple and honest feedback on your swing thoughts! I appreciate you sharing your videos!
I'm 55 overweight truck driver that just started playing golf about 18 months ago. I bought a really good set of sim 2 max os iorns from 4 / A wedge and i added a 54° and 60° and a old Wilson 64°
R 15. Driver and 3 wood and a 4 hybrid. Wish I would have found your channel sooner. I can crush my iorns and wedges and keep them as you say , on the grass. My driver, 3 and hybrid are hit and mostly miss. After seeing your videos, the big clubs are coming out of the bag. I started out shooting in the 120's. My last 5 rounds I have not lost ball. And just that brought me into the mid 90's . Really looking forward to some warm weather and going iorns only. Thanks
Jimmy, I like the way you declutter the golf swing. Thank you!
Here's my only swing thought now. Not joking: "Turn right, turn left, hit it right in the middle of the f-ing fairway. It's that easy, dude." Forces me to relax and hit an easy shot -- right down the middle of the f-ing fairfway.
Easy game brotha
What is your handicap? Swing speed?
I finally found the videos to watch as often as possible! GREAT VIDEO. Getting ready to watch some more. Thanks Jimmy!
Glad you like them!
Simple, practical, real. Thanks!!!
it sure it. thanks for watching. - jimmy www.tropicanagolfshop.com
Again,,, I really really enjoy these lessons.
Watched many videos none of which I've subscribed to because over the top technical advice. This is more relaxed, no stress a typical Saturday golfer point of view and advice. 👍
Thanks for watching. Hope it helps
Jimmy, your videos are rapidly becoming my favourite golf viewing. If I take nothing else to the course this summer, I hope I can come close to adopting your relaxed attitude and utilising your course management ethos. Also refreshing to see a good golfer make double and not edit it out. Many thanks and keep the videos coming. Greetings from Sweden. #jacuzzigolf 😊.
I love the rush of crushing the big clubs from back tees. Often find trouble but don't often lose balls. Dial back to play safe means knowing when to not go for it.
Jimmy your vids are a blessing to anyone wants to play this game reasonably well. The simplicity of your instruction followed by in real life playing using exactly what you have instructed is life-changing in golf life! Thank you very much, your advice works! 👏
Thats awesome to hear. Thanks for watching. www.tropicanagolfshop.com
Great to wall through a couple holes with mindset. This is major shift in my golf game. This takes a lot or strokes off and relieves a lot of stress. Thank you.
Glad it was helpful!
These are the best and most helpful videos on youtube. I hit more greens today by taking more club and swinging within myself. 5 stars
Thats how you play the game!! Congrats!
I truly love your videos Jimmy! I'm just getting back into golf after 17 year break... First round I shot a 93 using your tips about not losing balls with bad decisions! Thanks, Danno
Thanks Danno!!!
Jimmy, you got me to stop swinging out of my shoes, trying every tip out there and playing relaxed golf; that there is honest feedback. I enjoy your videos thus far.
You got it my brother. Swinging hard doesn’t relate to hitting the ball far. Slow is smooth and smooth is fast.
A very helpful video. I’m after off to play n the Algave next Monday, have flu at the moment, so I’m just trying to improve things by looking at good RUclips, thank you Kevin, UK
Great video! I will be watching this multiple times. Love the 70% swing. I have written 70 on the thumb of my glove to try to help me remember not to kill it. Doesn’t work all the time but getting better. Thanks again! 👍
Slow is smooth and smooth is fast
That’s the type of video I need. Thx a lot and I hope you continue to make them. Cheers to You!! :)
Thanks, will do!
Thanks for keeping it real Jimmy. Looking forward watching your other videos.
Thanks for watching
Man, you are so SPOT ON! I love your videos. They are simple, and not too technical (99% of us are just average golfers). These are great tips. I have the reputation in our league of bombing my tee shots. I am always hitting 8-9 irons when other members are hitting 6-7 irons. However, I have been in really bad positions after these shots! I'm trying to club down, and go from 90% swing effort to 75% swing efforts, in order to keep the ball in play more. That 7-iron into the green on that last hole was absolutely what I'm talking about! Thanks for this great video! I'd love to see more like these (live play).
This was one of the most helpful golf vids ever. Keep up the on course vids. Thank you dude!
Thank you. Glad you liked it
Love your relaxed attitude. I realized what you are saying when I got older, around 65.
Now I am 71 and just playing a relaxed swing. Good course management still gets me around 10 pars. Golf is more enjoyable
Wonderful!
I am an old baseball player trying to hit the golf ball hard. I stay in trouble off of the tee.
Found this video and really appreciate your swing thoughts and method of making the video. Thanks for being so open with us viewers and showing you don't hit every shot great and proving you don't have to swing so hard in every shot. I am going to start using your swing tips and see if I can improve my game. Just subscribed so Keep the videos coming!
Thanks for the feedback. Hope these help!
That was pretty cool! You played your game your way and you were smart about it. I actually learned a lot. I really love your goal of putting yourself in position for a par. I never looked at it like that but will forever going forward.
Thanks for watching!
Thanks Jimmy great video excellent tip on the last hole with the seven iron.
Glad to help
Dude, love your style and love how you simplify the game. Very entertaining. Subscribed.
Thank you!
No edits. The real deal. Awesome stuff. 👍
Much appreciated!
Jimmy, I absolutely love this video. The "live" uncut format is so needed in this RUclips space. I've thought for a long time now, how do I know this fool made a birdie or a par on that hole. Everything is edited. They could have hit three in the junk before that. Keep up the great work my man, I'll keep watching!
I felt the same way. This feels so much better knowing the true outcome. Thanks for watching!
I just found this video, I really liked your approach, most of us hackers need practical advice on how to play decent golf and your insights provide just that, thanks!
That’s awesome thanks for watching. Hope you follow along on my journey to getting better.
Thank you Kimmy, you’ve made golfing more realistic for me. I’m trying the Irons on tee off.
Thanks for watching
Great video best teacher
Thanks for watching
Great video. Keep them coming. Real!
More to come!
Excellent, definitely learned from you, TY
Glad to help
Great informative video. Keeping them rolling in
thanks! will do
Woows..nice one, this is what we call actual course management skills training, I like the way you have been able to articulate all the right calculations that golfers should always take in their mind before picking the club to use on a particular shot...again Golf is not a game of strength but rather a mental game
100% correct. Thanks for watching
Best tip yet - keep right hand bent through shot -
Hey jimmy i went out and practiced what you teach, only played 9 holes, didnt use my woods once and course managed the hell out of it,i had 2 not so good holes but had 3 pars,4 bogies and 2 double bogeis,No Lost Ball!!!,but had chances to birdy those pars but just missed the puts,i love that your not a Pro,but you have sound golf practices that im sure will improve my golf immensely and i will be watching you regularly from now on because you are entertaining and honest with your audience.
Im playing 18 tomorrow so will see how i go putting your advice into action over 18 in comp when under pressure, but already more confident and cant wait to see the look on my brothers face when i show up with no woods in my bag😂
Keep up the great videos👍
Keep it going Glenn. Glad its working! #besmooth
Thanks Jimmy .!
Got this video by chance. Thought what the heck is this? Stuck it through, though. At the end said Hmmmm. And subscribed!👍
Love it. Thanks for watching. More coming soon
Great game, can learn a lot here. New sub
Welcome
well done. very useful for the average golfer to optimize their game.
Glad it helps!
Great information, as a new golfer these help me.
Thats great. Im so happy this helps you. Thanks for watching!
Well done, excellent advice.
Glad it was helpful!
I like the advise - “ don’t chase it!” After making a double I usually will put too much pressure on myself to get the stroke back.
Exactly. The past is in the past for a reason. The next hole has nothing to do with the previous hole. Thanks for watching!
hello. New subscriber. Really enjoy your approach to the game. I'm playing tomorrow and will work on using your swing thoughts and swing speed. Always open to learning (and lowering my score) Thanks
Thanks for watching!
Loving your channel! Honesty in golf ;)
Thank you! Enjoy
Great video, i have been working on my trail hand position and hold it through contact like you do, however i seem to be getting some pulls. I think your thought of hitting the inside of the ball might help with that, thanks!
Good luck. Hope it helps
True, professional, and real information 👍🏼🙏🏼
**come play a hole with me 😂 always birdie, so spot on
Lol. Yup. Im tired of it. Gotta keep it real!
Love this honesty and mental focus on game strategy. Very few coaches put themselves on play like here. And they dont show bad shots either. Even Rory makes many bad shots. But he can recover better than othets.
So that way there is lot of dishonest coaching. Only good shots counted.
👏 for You!
3:33 is best tip - can’t stress enough - maintain bent right wrist - no flip - hitting ball with bent wrist - make the ankle - it sooo works.
Love your videos. Wasn't looking for this kind of video but said what heck go for it. Your approach to the game is real time. I cant stand all the techno talk. I just want simple tips that don't hurt your brain trying to execute them. You have a fan in me. Thanks a bunch.
I'm glad that works for you. More coming soon.
Your advise is good. Where is the cow pasture you're playing on?
After 70 years of bogey golf I was reduced to playing a hybrid or 7 wood. Been with you about a month now I am a using a Driver, variable lengths but on the short grass.
Keep the ball moving forward not sideways and life will be easier! Thanks for watching
Great video - Thanks
Thanks for watching
Jimmy. I like your style. I have watched many of your videos. I am definitely going to put your swing thoughts in to practice and see if it works for me. I really believe the majority of my issues are that I swing too hard and put my self in jeopardy. I will report back. Keep up the great content.
Sounds great gus. Let me know how it works
Your last tee shot was the best swing you had.
Loved it. Played like a real pro. Hole 1 shot 1. Hole 1 shot 2. Etc... There'll be time enough for counting when the round is done.
Looks like you are a fan of Pete Cowen based on your swing.
Thanks for the comment and thanks for watching.
That helps I’m trying to break the kill the ball mode trying to do the 70 percent swing ,keep up the good work 🍻
Thanks and thanks for watching
Great tips , real golf finally. Not the fake stuff
This is very good basic advice. You don't have to hit the ball a long way to score well, especially with hole lengths like in this video. If the course is almost 7,000 yards or more, play shorter tees unless you can hit the ball along ways off the tee VERY ACCURATELY. Or be willing to have second shots that are sometimes short of the green. Practice your short game and you can still score well with a short shot and one putt. Especially on a course like this with trees in close on every hole accuracy is way more important than distance to avoid blow up holes that destroy your score.
you're spot on. thanks for watching!!
what clubs do you have i like that color
This golf course is quite. When did you film it?
Thank you for the video
Thanks for watching
Just started watching your content and we're exactly on the same page. I recently got into a single digit handicap, and the majority of the reason is mental....i.e. focus on the task, course management, etc......but your focus of not allowing the head to get across the line was huge for me also. Good stuff bro, keep it coming
you got it! thanks for watching!!!
For those golfers that are getting older (ancient) like me, I found a ball that may help your game. Its the new Bridgestone e9 ball that is a distance ball but actually goes straight. The ball does go a club long for me so practice your lag putts with it because you will hit more greens instead of being short & chipping. Give it a try.
I am really liking your videos and one recent tip I have from you has been very useful, but I just have one question and that is, are you a golf pro as I heard you say on one video that you had been playing for 16 years. I just assumed you are a pro but not really sure. It doesn't matter if you are not as the tips and advice are great, and work.
Your channel is aptly named - that was very entertaining 🎉
Glad you think so!
All very helpful for real amateurs who play for fun. Thank you. One thought, though: on the courses I play on, an iron off the tee would not even reach the fairway, not at my age (I am older than you). Could you do a video in which you have to use a wood, even a driver, if that does ever apply to you?
will do. thanks
Does your PW go 140 yards at 70% swing speed? That's quite a distance!
What happened to putting off the front foot? You got me switched to that, I am not automatic with it, but the days I am on I am really on. Love that I can see down the line a little.
I putt with my head behind the ball. Always
Idk about that 69° over the bunker. All that green to work with you'd pretty much have to fly it there. A little lower loft same swing and that's within 3 ft.
Golf, the game you can never win. 👌
That's why it's a game for life.
Curious - are the three par 4’s all short, or maybe you’re playing forward tees? I’d have too many 200+ yd approach shots using mid irons off tee.
They are 340-390 - 372
My big miss is over the top with driver causing a big slice. By working on keeping my back elbow in and back to target longer it has helped. (Thanks to your videos). I do have an issue with hitting off of the heel of the driver. Any tips to keep the head in?
Have you tried standing further from the ball?
@@TropicanaEntertainment going to the range tomorrow and will work on that. Thanks. I shot 90 today. Had doubles on the last three holes. 🙄
Jimmy I like your videos and hearing you playing thoughts. but hate the golf course. It is in awful condition, you have to play safe as there is trouble on every hole. Do you ever hit a driver on the course?
Love this video Jimmy as it’s real. I’m curious as to what you use to make the video (phone or camera), tripod or whatever. I notice you always have it pointed to you in the cart exactly on and the image doesn’t shake even when you are bee-bobbing in the cart. The sound is crystal clear. Just a well made video. 😊
Thank you! Im just a one man show.
I know your a one man show. Just wanted to know how you ate recording.
You’re the best
Thank you and thanks for watching
I like that you have a process and stick to it. Are you able to tune out distractions? As in helping your fellow competitor hunt for his lost ball, or super slow groups in front? One thing I try to do is follow the advice of psychologist Bob Rotella, who makes the point that the subconscious brain has trouble hearing the word "don't." So when faced with water or OB on one side of the fairway I tell myself "hit it in the fairway" rather than "don't hit it in the water."
Its all mental. Walk yourself through it
👍 video . interested in what camera and tripod did you use?
Regular tripod from amazon and my iphone 14 :) thanks for watching
Jimmy I would like to turn my had back at setup so I don’t have extra movement in the back swing do you think that would be ok would like to see a vid on that
Repeat the question please. Thanks
Jimmy I meant to say cock my right wrist back at set up so I don’t have that move in the takeaway
I enjoyed the real golf, course management lesson. One thing that drives me nuts personally is dropping the flag on the green. Lay it down so it doesn't leave a rut.
You’re right. Point taken. Thanks for watching
That 2nd shot 7 iron punch looked dead pull left. Hard to believe that got on & that close..no offense
No offense taken. That’s why I run everything live and even even zoomed in.
its a chess game between you and the course! even when you play with others it still just you against the course!!!!!
You’re correct. The course is always ready to play!
I’m positive his tips will help your game but the key to all of this is to go out and practice his techniques. Practice, Practice, Practice…
thats true but practicing the wrong things won't help either. thanks for watching! www.tropicanagolfshop.com -jimmy
“That’s what she said.”
I’ve found my channel.
Hahahahaha. Thanks brotha
Of course this works if you can play to begin with, most can’t even hit the fairway no matter what they do.
Well, maybe watching these videos and doing as I do will help you play more efficiently
Where is that golf course?
Via Verde Country Club. San Dimas Ca
I guess this works when your pw goes 140/150 and your 5 iron goes 200… mine will do 100 and 150 respectively. On a good day!
Interesting video, I love how simple you keep everything.
Btw, your course looks tighter than a shark's ass!
Would hate to have to play that every weekend. 😆
Thanks for watching. Makes you a better player
I’m 78 years old, you hit your 3 iron farther than I hit my driver. How does any of this help me. I’m a 6 hadcap from senior tees. I hit my 5 iron 130 yds.
Jack im sorry this doesn't apply to you. Proud of you for still playing at 78. Enjoy every round.
Sure it applies to him ( and all of us). Just know your distances and choose the appropriate club.
Jimmy witb ???🏌🏿♂️⛳️😎🇺🇸👍
Coming soon
Doesn't help me, cos I'm off scratch, i need birdies, but I'm gonna share this with lots of friends who are off double digits, as it's very well explained on how to eliminate so many bad holes.
Thanks for sharing
😊 11:25 I hit my 4 hybrid 150. If I’m lucky 🍀 😭 😅
I don't get it. If the pin's at the front, you want to be putting. You take a club that will land pin high. If it hops forward, no problem. If you don't catch it as well as you hoped, you're probably still on the front and putting, BUT, if you take a club that's going to be short of the flag, and DON'T hit it perfectly, you're chipping when there was NO reason to be chipping, not with plenty of green available behind the pin. (hence holes #1 and #2, both short) I also think that it might be better to be 'quietly aggressive' than 70% and easy. Just my take.
As a former 9 handicap......Then taking 7 years off. Can you tell me how to hit a golf ball.?? I mean HIT a golf ball. I cannot do that anymore.
First step, dont HIT the ball. Swing the club and let the ball get in the way.
Goood stuuuuff
💪🏽💪🏽 thanks for watching
