I have 2 inch spacers and a leveling kit i need to toss on.. i put the spacers on to see and they cause the out side of the tire to contact the frame on full lock..-leveling kit will fix it but a pain that i had to pull them off for now 😂
Lower offset wheels have the exact same effect- unless you counter the amount of negative offset with tire width (usually a balance between a bit wider and a bit of negative offset rather than a lot of negative offset)
@@Angry-Little-Fish. Agreed and I am far from cheap with my 4Runner BUT I’m not going to add something that just causes damage to other parts. Makes no sense bud. And for what? The looks? Honestly I can’t even tell the difference between what you did on yours and the 33s on mine.
I think I need this done. I bought some tires that are too big(cuz the mfr rims were new) now when I make a turn one tire is rubbing on something and it sounds horrible. Helpppp
Congratulations you have now lost the last 2mpgs you were holding on to and are now negative not per gallon besides the fact that you need to readjust the entire suspension to perform better as you should but since that is not the case it will look good parked. Let’s just hope you don’t lose a wheel on the freeway good job guy way to “mod” a car
I’ve had wheel spacers on my truck and my wheel almost fell off because of the spacers it puts a lot more stress on your front end just be careful when you run them
Dang, that made a bigger difference than I expected. Thanks for sharing 👍
It does!! And a good amount, not too much
What size tires??? Any rubbing??
You'll be the only one that drools looking at it, nobody else will even notice. Trust me, I know...
If you buy shit for your truck so other people look at it you’re doing it wrong
isn’t that the point of building a truck or car? Making to how you see it not how other people see it
Isn’t that the point?
Isn't that all that matters when it comes to YOUR car😂
I didn’t at first 😂 but I want to do it to my taco!

Off set wheels give you the same results and probably safer too.
Nice clean install. I would just worry about what these are doing to my wheel bearings
When ever you put wheel spacers it’s recommended to change out your wheel bearings
@@Angry-Little-Fish that seems expensive. Wheel bearings in all 4 corners.

Does it rub with the spacers? I am considering spacers.
How often do you re-torque those spacers as maintenance? Do you need to uninstall them and put new loctite again?
How much pressure does the torque take?
Why did you mark the thread
Why 1.25 and not 2 inches makes the vehicle unstable
I had these on my 4Runner. No issues. I was worried what the naysayers would happen like the wheels flying off lol
As long as you maintain it, torque it every oil change or 5k miles. Your good 👍
Its a lot more load on your wheel bearings, wi bw ready to replace them before you have an accident and total the truck
❤❤❤👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Damn... so many salty a-holes in the comments lol. Looks good, nice job.
I did that with 2" spacers and I had to remove them immediately because it hit the edges of the chassis when turning the front tire.
Yup, the bigger the spacer the more rubbing you’ll get
Do you need to get an alignment done after using spacers?
No.
I think I need this done. I bought some tires that are too big(cuz the mfr rims were new) now when I make a turn one tire is rubbing on something and it sounds horrible. Helpppp
Do that or see where its rubbing and cutout the plastic or metal that its rubbing on
Check whats rubbing. Adding spacers can cause rubbing

Dangerous. Buy some offset rims. If that's what you wanna do, fine, but don't give other ding dongs this idea.
Why you no torque spacer on ground too
I did. Prior to putting the wheel back
Uhh how? He torqued before he put the rim and tire on. Would be no way to after it's lowered? 🥴
How about the scrub radius?
Definitely wider, rubbed on the fender liner, pushed it back and no issues
Nice way to ruin bearings and suspension
Dry your eyes 😂😂
What did I miss
I’ve had wheel spacers on my truck and my wheel almost fell off because of the spacers it puts a lot more stress on your front end just be careful when you run them
Which part of the studs came loose? Spacer studs, hub studs or bearing hub?
Which spacers did you run? Which broke??
Any issues ? I’m thinking about these for my Tacoma. 265/70/17
No issues
@@sago_t4rreally? I got some 1.5 and they were rubbing. Should I downgrade to 1 1/4?
I’m running 265 70 17 at3’s
Nice video bro, what torture was required to tight town those spacers?
Could be 80lbs of torque
do you have a lift do you get rubbing now?
I got 2.5 inch of lift. Rubbing on the fender liners only. Pushed them back and no rubbing anymore
265’s?
285/70/17
Any problems with them yet?
No problems whatsoever. With proper maintenance ofcourse
brother what lift do you have in the front?
I got the Eibach pro truck lift kit stage 1
Not really worth it unless you got the wheels and tires to match
Nice but
question: how is this useful ( im curious ) ?
Stupid question
Better fitment
It looks cool that's about it
When you get into lifted SUV’s and trucks you often need spacers to clear ball joints, calipers, etc.
Both fitment and aesthetic
Yeah we didn’t need it.
Not much but certainly better without looking stupid.. or cholo lvl
Looks the same
But the rocks flinging towards paint on the doors and fenders...
You should have put the two inch space
This is the only size Spidertrax has
Why 1.25 , ? Nobody use 1.5
This what Spidertrax has for the 4runner and they’re the only spacer brand I trust
Ok , but in there website they have 1.5 spacers
@@ecruz2987for my 2013 4runner, they only have 1.25, for other years they have 1.5
Should have used blue locktite
Manufacturer specifically gives you a red locktite
Nope
Why is everyone doing a 1.25. Why not a 2"
Probably because it will wear your wheel bearings out quick.
Its what Spidertrax has for the 4runner and they’re the only brand I trust
Nah your lugs will eventually snap off. This is a known factor.
Probably if you get the cheap chinese ones. This brand is known to be used offroad and Made in America

They’ll be fine. Not like it’s a 3 inch spacer
No issue so far whatsoever
I just bought the 1” do you think I’ll have to trim my studs down?
I’m not really sure, this size is the usual size toyota users get so I opted with this one
