Another tip: make sure your spacers are hub centric meaning the inner bore of the spacer seats up to the bore on the hub correctly. This will allow for a secure fitment along with making sure there’s no odd vibrations or shakes
@1:47 lubricating lug nuts or bolts means that you can tight them in the proper torque range. Otherwise, they can be loose tighttened or overtorqued. You just need to have the wet torqe specs of the bolt or nut In industry, most of the heavy duty bolts or nuts have lubricating instructions before torque'ing them to the specs with molybdenum grease or similar. I am technician of Tinius Olsen tensile machines in Turkey
F.Y.I. you need to add 3 to 5 ft lbs to the torque wrench setting when you add a extension or a reduction extension while setting torque like you did to the socket because you did not have a 1/2 socket . Your torque spec will be off by that much if you use these . Dont sound like much ,But your life could depend on that wheel staying on that car . For all the want to be mechanics on here that will say Im a dumb azz , Well that is true BUT . Question Does your Impact wrench have more power with a extension and socket or with socket alone ?
I always wondered if a person torqued the spacer to rotor at the vehicles torque specs. Then the wheel to the spacer torqued at the spacers suggested specs. Like my RAM has a lug nut torque spec of 135 ft lb but my spacers torque spec is 83 ft lbs. Any thoughts about this? I took my truck to a local tire shop to balance the wheels and they wanted to torque the wheel to the spacer at 135 because that's the federal law that they have to follow. So I torqued them myself and signed a waiver

Absolutely 👍👍👍 Thank you for chiming in bro!

Mine has a hub bore compatible but idk if that means it’s hub centric or not this is my first time with these wheel spacers

@@milsgarage Thanks for the watch! It really is nuts!! Have a good day bro!🤙
Would have been nice to see the final product...

Is this hub centric ? Pretty cool and subtle mod for the G’s and Zs. Especially you run oem stock wheels

How do I know the torque settings I have bought the spacers second hand?
Can you use grease instead of lubricant?
Many greases shouldn’t be used around brakes because of heat related properties.. Always check for high temp
At the end, you said you don't recommend these? You don't recommend these specific spacers or did you mean you don't recommend getting spacers?
i don’t recommend using spacers. If you’re planning on using them, Z1 are really nice 👍
@@milsgarage cool thanks for the reply!
Any time for sure 👍 Keep up the great work 🤘🤘🤘

True.
how do you figure out which torque spec for making it how tight it’s supposed to be?
Manufacturer directions for the part will list them
@@milsgarage ah okay so my car has spacers but idk which ones bc they came with the car how do i find out?
when i put on soavers, i need it on every tire?
i've met people who have different size spacers, but the tire contact will make the car dangerous in wet conditions.
Hey now just popping up to show some D9 love. Great tips. Very helpful

i like less variables, so i would value wheels that have the exact specs you like
I torques wheel spacers on my 2021 Ram 1500 at 135 as recommended by manufacture and no issues at all so far.
No before no after whats the benefits from video?!
To someone like you? None.
part number for replacement wheel studs on those spacers

I was looking forward to the before and after😞
My bad. i was really just making a how-to.. i don't recommend spacers.

Thanks bro ordering soon
What should you torque the wheels lugs to after that ?
Same as the other lugs 👍
You don't know what material the rotors are made out of? I'll help you out, they're made out of peanut butter...
