@@kevinhancock4064 Yes and we did pressure test using equipment from a neighbor that is a deisel mechanic. However, we already knew it had to be egr after reading so much about it. Pressure test confirmed what we thought. We had a thick piece of metal cut down to the same shape and blocked it off. Have not had the issue since! The EFR cooler isn't actually needed and can just be blocked off instead of spending the money on new EGR cooler, but if you prefer buying a new one then go ahead.
sure. The engine had been consuming coolant and no external leak was found. I suspected the egr cooler. I removed it and filled the gas channel with water and applied 40psi of compressed air to the coolant channel and the air leaked into the liquid and produced bubbles and confirmed my diagnosis.
Can you do a video how did you do it
Do you know if a foulty EGR COOLER could be mixing the coolant with the engine oil ?
No in this problem is a oil cooler
Did you ever find out was was your problem.
@@Gtmonke23We had the above mentioned issue and it was EGR cooler. Just take it off and block it off. Runs the same and is much cheaper 😂
