I'm a freshman going through my first semester of college, and this song's lyrics hit me like a truck. The older adults in this comment section will probably laugh, but this is really my first taste of the real world, and it hasn't been going as well as I'd like it to at all. I have a lot of insecurities about whether I'll be able to make enough friends, join any meaningful clubs/extracurriculars, and generally do enough to secure a job at the end, and this song like a taunting challenge. I need to prove that it *can* be fun living in the real world, but I have to create the circumstances necessary for it to be. I just don't know how at the moment.
