I’ll be 37 this year and had a chance to see paramore before being signed in 2005. I’ll be forever grateful of all the bands I found while in college from 2004-2008 🙃
Ugh man, the 2005 Warped Tour, first time I was allowed to a concert by myself, was 16. So many bands that were just on the cusp of breaking out and becoming huge that year -- MCR, Paramore, Fall Out Boy....peak emo. Now I'm in my 30s and have back pain haha. Enjoy what you've got now, though, you're gonna remember these years as living in the good times.
I had a high school crush that looked nearly exactly like her so smol, could increase cuteness levels x3 at will (and did it randomly like a chaotic), talked a lot, and had 3 brothers 😂
If you were a fucking gang banger dude, but for us with long hair back in the 2000's these girls were the ABSOLUTE best ass you could get. Very rare 10/10

I was working last week, unloading boxes in a store early in the morning. Only about 3 people on the level I was on and she was there, walked right passed me and I didn't even know it was her until the cashier told me it was her buying a toaster lol. I fuckin missed my chance to meet her. Fml

i love how her song about how relationships can go wrong isn't about just how sad she is but also how this is what happens in life and we have to learn to accept that to love we become vulnerable to the other. If you aren't ready to hurt, then don't let your heart win
Songs like this should be brought back to light. Songs like this are those who really and truly have an impact. I really wish I could just go back to the time when songs like this are what I always hear. Most of the songs right now doesn't have any message anymore.
I remember back in high school I learned to play this song on drums to impress a girl. She never heard me play it, but I could probably still nail it note-for-note.
This song dropped when I was in 10th grade, it was such a fun time to be a teen. This song bring me back to the boy I used to be. Enjoy your teens while you can is over before your ready.
This couldn't be more true, wish I could go back to my teen years. That's long gone unfortunately, I remember Friday and Saturday nights at the mall. Sneaking out, good music. All the awesome younger person qualities
I love my life more now that I'm an adult - I can do whatever I want and be whoever I am without people telling me off. Also didn't really like school where I was spending most of my time. No, I think most people just have a filter on the good memories when they think about their teen years. Of course, there were things that you did that you wouldn't do anymore now, and for many those years were fun indeed, but your adult years can be just as much fun. For many people it is even better, if they can only let go of the "Oh no I'm getting old"-stuff once they reach their mid-20s... and I'm not only talking about the people who had it rough back then.

Heard this song for the first time 2 days ago working at Goodwill, I couldn’t catch the lyrics so I used Shazam and it pulled the song up for me. I LOVE ITTT.❤️
Funny to think at the time I heard this I was thinking to myself "I wont have that nostalgia feeling with this". Little backstory, early 20's when this came out, military and playing rock band with my buddies to this song. Man, this hits the nostalgia button like crazy.
This song creates a feeling that very few others can. Not sure if it's nostalgia, melancholy, lovesick, etc. but I always feel something unique when I listen to it.
Man, this song moves me to tears every time. It's so nostalgic, reminds me of young love, high-school friends, and figuring out who you are. It actually makes me tear up every time I listen to it. I'm not even a big Paramore fan but I LOVE this song for that reason. ❤
I'm missing this Generation of Paramore! Anyone who still here with me listening to this song up till now? I always remember my teenage days, jamming back then year 2010.
The nostalgia hurts. Don't wish away your 20's and 30's. They were the best part of my life, graduating college, starting a career, getting married, having kids, family vacations, so many Christmas mornings and my parents were still young enough to be the fun grandparents who had the energy to play with their grandkids. I'll be 40 next year. I miss being young, and my kids being babies, and I really miss not having cancer. That's the other thing. Take care of yourselves my fellow millennials, a lot of us are getting the big C before 40 now. Companies got rich for decades pumping poisons and pollution into our environment, our water, and our bodies. They got rich and we're going to pay the cost for it now. If you don't feel right, go to the doctor. Don't wait. Luckily I survived and I'm in remission now. But I'm sure there's still a few cells in there lying dormant, so I still think of myself as having cancer. If it never comes back to get me, the treatments will. I miss being young, taking my oldest to the playground when he was a toddler, sitting there on a bench feeling like my whole life was ahead of me.

Wow this comment scared me when I read it, why? Because I was exactly thinking:Is there people watching this during this quarantine? And then I saw this comment. It felt like it was directly to me.
This song was so cool when I was in middle school but I was so sheltered by my parents’ taste (the Beatles, Blondie, and Irish folk music) that it felt too distant and mature for me. Now I just turned thirty, am discovering who I am, and am listening to all the music I would have if I had been an edgy teenager! I wish I had been more rebellious then, but listening to this music for the first time now feels like I’m getting a second try.
Zubair Patel Whereas, generic relationship fodder and shots in some house - incredibly rock and roll. Visual exuberance does not alter musical definition. "Still into you" could comfortably play over this video.

Why cant we just enjoy this song from our teens and not be emo? I mean i love all sorts of music genres from different periods of my life, rap music, punk rock, metal, some SOME dubstep is timeless but its rare as shit xD DnB, Deadmau5 (just his own genre hes that good), but yeah MY POINT: just stop with labelling things like that, its fucking cancer :/ just enjoy the fucking music or enjoy whatever it may be and be YOURSELF and not a damn label..
Paramore was an overlooked band for me during my younger years. Listening to their music now I'm damned ashamed of that because Hayley is amazing and their music really speaks to me even in my late 30s.
This song is literally a window to 2008... I was 16 at the time and while i wasnt a fan of Paramore then this song does make me feel all warm about those days and how I'd give much if i could go back to experience it all again.

Back in 2007, when this song was released I was an young adult in my late 20's, far from being a teen. Paramore was noticeable but still a little under my radar (since it was so oriented to a teenage audience). Now, I'm Almost 40yo and when I listen to this it takes me waaaaayyy back, and I feel so much like a teen!!! Besides being an obvious hit, this song is great objectively as a rock song, and great because it takes me back to a simpler time. Gosh... I miss those days. Paramore was pretty good. I should've enjoyed it more.
I was in my late 20's too but I used to listen to that hit all the time. Anyway it doesn't matter how old you are now and then. Music was made to enjoy it.
Jean Sinclair wow nothing wrong with his comment. why are you out here camping and being rude and outright bragging as if highfalutin words make you special
to tell you frankly i listen to this band for a decade without bothering to check the band members. THEN one day, i did and i mean no one can deny her beauty. when i did have the means to attend their concert in our country, i tell you her stage presence was LIT, even the band signature headbang still there even though they're like nearly 30s, she hitting the highest notes. it isn't just a FACE show. now, i dont think people follow them blindly, I MEAN when you listen to the song do you like always stare at the face lmao NO. & have you bothered checking the lyrics? she's a deep person and it shows on her lyrics
@Jean Sinclair yah i was right. u were hatin the girl cause u were cheering more for the band members. tell u what, if this was a male singer we wouldnt have this conversation.. if u knew a bit of their history, she was signed as solo artist but she chose to be in a band. and lets be honest, if people buy or listen to their songs cause the 'frontwoman is a crushie' isnt it a win2x for the band because it still translates to money.. the girl is vocal about her thoughts in socmed and they are all close friends and at peace with each other.. yah, im letting this rest cause my lunchbreak is over
I just watched a cover of this song by MISSIONED SOULS and I am truly amazed at how they sound almost just like the real thing. I love both versions Thanks.....

When I was a teenager, there was a girl I tremendously fell in love with, and because I wanted to talk to her I started to listen to Paramore (because I knew she liked the band a lot). We talked and became close, listened to RIOT together and shared laughs; unfortunately, just before I told her I loved her, I went abroad to study. As time passed, we stopped talking and never heard of each other ever again... that's what I got when I let my heart take the lead. This song brings back the memories, yo
You had to see it coming. You knew on some level You were going abroad. She gave you a chance to make a move on her obviously. It's more fun to romanticize about missed love than it is to endure the relationship and relationships that come about after you've committed to someone. Would you do it again?
What are you, 12? Childish and unnecessary things to say, your the type of person that you can't have a conversation with, and you probably sit in your room wondering why you dont have friends.
It's so interesting how every now and then you see people commenting on these 10 years old clips. It's good to know that there are still some people around here that appreciate a good song.
Guys, if you feel like you've been suffocating for the last 7 years like I've felt it gets better. Last year and this year are the first times I've ever felt so comfortable and finally confident back 2023 and 2024 now I feel like I've finally got direction. It feels amazing, there's hope. I've lost a lot of people a long the way. Some because I'm an angry person especially because of the last 7 years so now I'm always manic but lately the headaches have stopped, they're not as strong as the last 7 years have been. There's so much peace and freedom waiting out there, don't stop until you've found that peace whether you need to stay in a cabin in the wood to finally be free and at peace to constantly just enjoy your passions like movies, shows, etc. Pursuit of Peace, Freedom and Happiness. Love y'all, keep movin, peace awaits

[Verse 1]
No sir
Well, I don't wanna be the blame, not anymore
It's your turn
So take a seat, we're settling the final score
And why do we like to hurt so much?
I can't decide
You have made it harder just to go on
And why? All the possibilities
Well, I was wrong
[Chorus 1]
That's what you get when you let your heart win, woah
That's what you get when you let your heart win, woah
I drowned out all my sense with the sound of its beating
And that's what you get when you let your heart win, woah
[Verse 2]
I wonder
How am I supposed to feel when you're not here?
Cause I burned every bridge I ever built when you were here
I still try holding onto silly things, I never learn
Oh, why?
All the possibilities
I'm sure you've heard
[Chorus 1]
That's what you get when you let your heart win, woah
That's what you get when you let your heart win, woah
I drowned out all my sense with the sound of its beating
And that's what you get when you let your heart win, woah
[Bridge]
Pain, make your way to me, to me
And I'll always be just so inviting
If I ever start to think straight
This heart will start a riot in me
Let's start, start, hey!
[Breakdown]
Why do we like to hurt so much?
Oh, why do we like to hurt so much?
That's what you get when you let your heart win, woah
[Chorus 2]
That's what you get when you let your heart win, woah

This song dropped when I was in 10th grade, it was such a fun time to be a teen. This song bring me back to the boy I used to be.
Enjoy your teens while you can is over before your ready.
This couldn't be more true, wish I could go back to my teen years. That's long gone unfortunately, I remember Friday and Saturday nights at the mall. Sneaking out, good music. All the awesome younger person qualities
No worries, no concern, just living with the flow of the universe. I miss it too
I love my life more now that I'm an adult - I can do whatever I want and be whoever I am without people telling me off.

Funny to think at the time I heard this I was thinking to myself "I wont have that nostalgia feeling with this". Little backstory, early 20's when this came out, military and playing rock band with my buddies to this song. Man, this hits the nostalgia button like crazy.

I wish I had been more rebellious then, but listening to this music for the first time now feels like I’m getting a second try.

@@UmadBro88sir (or ma'am or whatever tf you wanna be called) you qill have to come with me to jail for saying such offensive things (btw this is a joke have a crush on or like whoever you want as long as its legal)
@RichardsGaySonhonestly though who didn't
Me sinto exatamente assim!
I was in my late 20's too but I used to listen to that hit all the time. Anyway it doesn't matter how old you are now and then. Music was made to enjoy it.
@@edmundoricse4210 yeah!!! Sure thing!!! Rock On!!!
i was mid 20s then so i can relate to you sir...time passes quickly

Seriously one of the most gorgeous women to be on the earth. Her voice, her looks, her personality everything just uhhhgggggggg 😍😍😍😍😍
yasssssss
Jean Sinclair wow nothing wrong with his comment. why are you out here camping and being rude and outright bragging as if highfalutin words make you special
yeah i get it. you're bored.
to tell you frankly i listen to this band for a decade without bothering to check the band members.
@Jean Sinclair yah i was right. u were hatin the girl cause u were cheering more for the band members. tell u what, if this was a male singer we wouldnt have this conversation.. if u knew a bit of their history, she was signed as solo artist but she chose to be in a band. and lets be honest, if people buy or listen to their songs cause the 'frontwoman is a crushie' isnt it a win2x for the band because it still translates to money.. the girl is vocal about her thoughts in socmed and they are all close friends and at peace with each other.. yah, im letting this rest cause my lunchbreak is over
Almost 2017 and still loving this song! ^^
Saaame

I just watched a cover of this song by MISSIONED SOULS and I am truly amazed at how they sound almost just like the real thing. I love both versions Thanks.....
Became a fan when I was 10, attended their concert in my 20s, and now as a 25-year old still jamming to their songs. Can't believe how fast time flies

Me in high school: "Why do we like to hurt so much?"
Me almost 30: Why does my back like to hurt so much?
Me 15 literally back kills
And me, 45 😓😓
Lol your back started to hurt in your thirties? Lucky
So true lol my legs hurt worse lol 😂😂😂than any heartbreak

Paramore is a classic. All of their songs are timeless. It never fades.
Recordo-me da minha adolescência. Escutava MUITO Paramore. Esses álbuns antigos me deixam nostálgica.
It's amazing how long we can remember things. Music helps so much. I love paramore.
Hope you'll find the right person for you though
Bite the fucking curb! ugh disgusting human being
You had to see it coming.
This video reminds me of how everyone looked in high school. The nostalgia
man good times
Loved this so much as a teenager in 2008 and now in 2023 at almost 30 years old I still live for it 🎉😊
If you like you could listen to □PENUMBRA - Sacrificio (Video Lyrics)□ it's a similar style, maybe you like it too. 😀

These emo bands ruled my childhood, now they're taking me back to the world called "skinny jeans with eyeliner"
The good days
I don't think I ever dressed "emo" but my taste in music has always been with the emo band..maybe I was just an out cast 🤷♂️ fuckem 😅
-If you do what you love don't let anyone stop you from doing it-
Guess I never left this world haha
True,
the skinny jeans can stay in the past, but i never say no to some good eyeliner (also hell yeah bruh we have the same name)
Wow the difference 12 years can make to the meaning of this song
Escuchaba ésta canción cuando era adolescente haciendo tareas o en mi cuarto a todo volumen, y hoy me acompaña mientras trabajo, el sentimiento que me provoca, es el mismo: FELICIDAD!
