Just came home after watching this show live here in Germany. So glad I finally got a chance to watch them up close. They haven't lost their touch in all these years. Joyce told the audience, she's now 75. She is a force of nature. I'm still blown away.
Man! We blew this band up in the 70's and 80's. Saw with the Doobie Brothers, Foreigner, Henry Paul and Rossington Collins in Charlotte, AC/DC, Blackfoot and MF in Greensboro, NC. My son, 15, plays N....Can't Play Rock and Roll. He is bi-racial and adopted from a family member. He loves MF and many of the bands I grew up listening to from the early 70's moving forward!!!! Another Mother Further is an absolute classic!!! Need to check out their tour dates and catch a show!
I saw them several times in Charlotte at a small night club a couple times and the last time at the old colosseum on Independence Blvd. They were great!
Listen to that drum sound at 39:45...!!!! Good f**king God...that's MONSTROUS! Not only does the dude nail it...but the sound is absolutely killer! And this is just a phone recording!
5 days later they played at the "Fabrik" in Hamburg, Germany - T'WAS BEST NIGHT I'VE HAD IN YEARS Joyce is still rockin' every stage - and Mother's Finest remains the #1 live band on this planet.
Greetings from North Macedonia and happy anniversary, MF! You've been one my top 5 bands since 1979 when I listened to "Baby Love" for the first time. Mother's Finest, Deep Purple, Uriah Heep, Whitesnake and Al Di Meola are the bestest of the best!

I saw them in Greensboro, with 38 Special, and Molly Hatchet. No doubt, they should be in the Rock and Roll HOF.
