I'm one of those dedicated fans of Mother's Finest since the late 70's. I remember seeing them mop the floor with Aerosmith back at a New Years gig in Indianapolis. They Kicked A**! 😎☮️
what a show that must have been... damn.. lucky mf'er! . lol! let me add that to the list of shows I never got to see.. my first was Dio in '83 at 14... I missed the best stuff but still have some classics under my belt.
Legendary band! Mothers Finest Live is one of the best live albums of all time alongside Queen's Live Killers, Deep Purple's Made In Japan, The Who's Live In Leeds and AC/DC's If You Want Blood (You've Got It).
My first experience of seeing Mother's Finest was in College Park Maryland Cole Field House in 1978 and they opened up for two of the hottest bands at that time Parliament-Funkadelic and Bootsy's Rubber Band. Let me tell you that was one night the funk mob got crushed.
Sweet Baby Jean, I loved you guys back in 1973? 1974? at Sundown at the Oasis, about as small a venue as you can get. LOVED the way EVERYONE couldn't sit still with you guys in the house, and the walls of the little club vibrated! You are a benchmark by which I have measured music ever since. And it never hurt that you wore that huge sparkly white afro wig that just shimmered! SO MUCH ENERGY!!!!
Been a huge fan since 1978 when I caught a live show Heavy rock, funk and soul all wrapped up in one band. A truly talented group of musicians that have kept it real.
Did I just get taken to church!!!! Wow, this is one of the best acoustic live concerts I've seen...Mothers finest rocks it no matter where, what and how...
Saw them rule Champagne Jams in '78 and '79 at Grant Field in ATL. Saw them many, many times in other venues. They never took a show off, let alone a single note. MF is not a group of individuals. They ARE a band, and brought it every MFin' time. Mad respect...
Growing up in the Atlanta area in the 70s you were our signature band. I've brought my youngsters into the fold as the became old enough to hit the clubs.. I'll continue to come see you play as long as you do. My high school class will come with me as well.....
I have been a fan since the 70s . My life long dream is to play keyboards with you guys on Baby Love ,and play the synth solo. I love you guys Kim Miller, Millers Music .....
Saw you at the Starwood in Hollywood, CA in 1975? with Vicki Sue Robinson. I delivered a Fender Rhoads to you guys from SIR. I still listen to your music. Thank you. I got to meet BB back stage. As a young drummer for me that was a thrill.
baby jane is my 2nd favorite rock singer of all time next to Dio. She is a powerhouse of amazing soul (why I love Ronnie) . I will never tire of hearing her absolutely slay everything every time.
Hay miss bluegrass wizard came to my neighborhood in Woodstock ga. before they perform their 1ST concert gave me free tickets to come to Kennesaw Jr college . if the band ever get i touch with me and tell them some things. They will realize im a true fan and the truth will set u free carlfoster469
Amazing people right there.. inside and out!! I was sitting on the floor stage left. 💚☯️💙🕉💚☮️ Love Love Love Joyce took a break and sat right there and rocked out with us. So cool.
They have long been Rock and Roll HOF-worthy ever since dropping that stone-cold 90's hard rock/funk/metal classic 'Black Radio Won't Play This Record' damn near 30 years ago. To this day, MF remains on my personal Top 10 list of "life soundtrack" bands from ANY genre! Back during their late-70s/early-80s heyday, they upstaged so many headliners and influenced a young up-and-coming generation of fearless rockers to the point that their legacy is pretty much secured despite being outright DENIED their commercial success here in the US. They'll always have my long-standing respect and gratitude for what they threw down these past 5 decades! ;-)
I came across Mothers Finest from a compilation album for the song Cry Baby, I really liked it. From the album Black Radio Won’t Play This Record. Many black rock and metal bands seem to get a lot of haters from black community for listening to Rock n Roll, why’s that then? Isn’t that racist? I love this band

Saw this bad ASs band so many times in the Carolinas . So many crazy good memories.
Saw them in Columbia SC in 1977 when I was 15, loved it. Saw them again in 2005 in North Charleston SC when I was 43, had an even better time.
I was there in Columbia, and saw them in Atlanta the same year. They were the BEST band out of the line up...
Dittos on Cola SC … I was there then, about the same age…catching them tomorrow night in NC

I was there when they played at Eddie's Attic. I had a conversation with the bass player.
Great! Love MF since 1976

Nice. I do feel though that Glenn's voice should have been given some more volume.
Was ein Leckerbissen! What a tidbit!
When was this! I would love to have been at this show. Can't believe I missed it.
All Hail The Queen
This is so hot!
The Black Rolling Stones
They still have their feet on the ground and that's fine
❤
In case anyone wonders where the true heavy funk rock groove comes from!

Fantastique! But Baby Love, at least, without keyboards is not completely(for me)
Bad to the bones
17:10 » It's the bureaucracy of the industry which artificially devides humans into races, amen Joyce!
You guys got messed up by the record company and should have been bigger than you are.
Definitely need to be in the Rock Hall of Fame- they've been incredible for DECADES- I love them so much!
One of my super bans since the 70s moe excellent chemistry no thrash in the pan forever funk rock must come back for the human race
