Yeah, anyone who says the Maids aren’t the real deal is deaf or, frankly, needs mental counseling, to put it nicely. Their skill level, not just at playing, but in composition, arrangement, instrumentation, orchestration and performance is extremely high for a rock act on par with the giants of the classic rock era and the music bears that out. 🤷🏻♂️

Band Maid are so good! I also love that whenever you see live videos of them, they always seem to be having the best time ever and love what they do. That positive feel is so infectious! Not to mention how talented they are, so damn great!
I just caught your reaction to From Now On and I really enjoyed it. Band-Maid perform some instrumental numbers to give their main singer Saiki a break during a concert. You asked for a video with vocals do I think you might enjoy this one "Sayonakidori" (Nightingale) sung by Miku Kobato the band's founder, main lyricist, rymthe guitarist, backup vocalist...this recording was part of their 2021 Christmas Day Acoustic Streamed concert where the band played 14 of their songs in an acoustic format. Surely the most obvious track to recommend for vocals is Daydreaming MV?
True that is a good suggestion too...or manners, or before yesterday, or any other song...but I'm suggesting that Miku is also very capable as a singer!
Welcome back and thanks from Japan 有難う💛。 I witnessed this song performed live twice with this MV quality in Tokyo and dropped my jaw twice 😲. I believe so did many of American audience at 12 venues in their 2022 US tour. This song has been normally played in the middle of the setlist to give Saiki, lead vocalist, some break. They played this song, however, as opening at three festivals (including Aftershock, Sacramento) and in Guns N' Roses concert in Japan as support to the legendary band. Yeah! they showed off their skills and talents to the audience who knew nothing about the girls in maid outfit on the stage. I felt as if I heard them screaming "Hey guys! Listen to us and open your eyes wide! We are not the persons that you think ! Salute us!" 😄

Since you're a vocalist, I really like Saiki's singing in (well, everything) but especially Manners, Bubble, anything acoustic like Smile or Page, and of course the tried and true power ballad Daydreaming. She's an alto, as you may remember from your other songs, but with an expanded upper range. She really shines in the lower register. Speaking of that, Band-Maid has an alter ego called Band Maiko (you'll see), and Sai-chan's vocals are fantastic in Gion Cho. Thanks for reacting to the maids - as you said, they should be ten times more known than they are.

Song had a very cool intro. Think most of their songs are really enjoyable to listen to even with the language difference. Their song Bubbles is really good too. There are a couple of other Japanese metal bands that are also great. Ningen Isu and their song Heartless Scat , then there is the Wagakki Band. 🤘 That auto focus needs some work yeah 😓😓 focus needs to be further away, however a person does that. 🧐

Charis, If you are a theatre kid, I suggest you react to a different kind of song by Band Maid. The song is "Puzzle" but please don't react to the official rock video. Instead, react to the acoustic video of the song. It is only in Japanese, but the emotion Saiki, the lead vocalist, puts into the song is incredible. The premise of the song is of a young women who sees a former lover, an older man, with his wife. Her frustration, anger, and eventual grief from realizing she will not complete the puzzle of his live, nor he complete the puzzle of her life come out. Amazing song!!!

Other Band-Maid songs? Domination - Live, Play - Live, Real Existence - Live, any LIVE video of them then the regular MV's.
And the only other instrumental on their page is Onset, which until From Now On was my favorite of all time.
And the Ladies refer to their Maid outfits as their "Battle Armor" and have said they feel strange if they DON'T wear them.
Their music is pretty awesome.

Try Band-Maid's Wonderland. Vocally, it's very interesting. Saiki-san's voice is actually better now than it was when the song was recorded. So, if you like find the live version and then the acoustic version in a two-for one double reaction. :D

Your reaction to the caesura (pause) at the beginning is the same way that I feel every time that I hear this song. Band-Maid has several instrumental songs that they use live to give Saiki, their lead singer, a break during their okyuji (concerts). The other singer, Miku, also has some songs that she sings solo without Saiki being on stage.
NOTE - They refer to their maid costumes as their "Battle Armor"!! How about "Influencer" next?!?!
