    Enjoyed that. A lot of hours gone into that and plenty new metal too. That’s going to be one well sorted car by the time you’re done. Remember to check that rear prop-shaft coupling. The outer steel ring gets seized to the plastic shoes that it’s supposed to float on and it’s stops the coupling from doing it’s job of dampening vibration, especially under acceleration in the higher gears. Looking forward to the next instalment already 😎

    Should have put antiseize on all the bolts though when mounting everything back. I just did the rear end on my bmw and i have lubed the heck out of every bolt so they will NEVER rust or be stuck again. Did this on my other bmw many years ago and its still a dream to work on all these years after driving in salt and snow. Definetly worth it!

    • @cg7975
      @cg7975 28 дней назад

      A very good point sir. But remember never put copper grease (sometimes known as "anti seize")on steel bolts going into aluminium. General purpose grease is fine - and obviously keep it away from rubber bushes. Copper grease is maybe ok for steel into steel, but in some applications namely aluminium it wreaks havoc.

    My original exhaust fell apart not long after i got my passat. I looked for a stainless cat back system and struggled a bit. Ended up paying 2k for a supersprint system from italy. Its a nice exhaust and sounds perfect but was a hell of a price. I only did it because i couldn't find another and i intended to keep the car. That was about 7 years ago. Still got the car. Hopefully you can find one a lot cheaper than that.
    Great work on car and vid!

    • @TRHamza
      @TRHamza  Год назад

      I’ve been considering the supersprint, but as you say very expensive. Did you go for full or just Catback? And is there any drone or raspiness

    • @allosaurusfragilis7782
      @allosaurusfragilis7782 Год назад

      @@TRHamza I got the cat back....no drone , no raspiness. I'm retired, the last thing I need is a loud exhaust. It's a perfect sound ....brings out vr6 engine loveliness. My wife had an r32 with stock exhaust and I'd say mine is a touch quieter than that....slightly deeper. For me that suits the vehicle.
      The full system may be louder, not sure bout that.
