Thanks for 200K subs everyone! Look out for a Scirocco R update in the coming week! Also make sure to check out CAR VERTICAL - And use code 'TRH' to save 10%: www.carvertical.com/gb/landing/v3?b=1e4c9523&a=Hamza&voucher=trh
Thanks this has really helped me did you check the couplings already for the propshaft because I'm doing this atm and I can't remember which way round they go do you know for the front.
It's so refreshing to see someone take such pride in their work! You see a lot of people just stick a few new parts on a car and call it a restoration without doing any of the hard, time consuming work that really takes it to the next level. excellent job, look forward to the next ep!
It's definitely been a learning experience! First restoration style project ive attempted, but the good thing is it makes regular tasks seem a lot easier now haha!
I recommend putting one some clear wax coat afterwards, since UK weather is a nightmare for car underbodies. Prevents future corrosion and keeps the underside looking as good as it is right now. Especially the Aluminium parts will look fresh and the coating prevents oxidation.
This is an epic build. These cars are rare! Love the level of detail in terms of stripping the suspension. The underbody wasn't actually too bad for the mileage especially for this generation of VW. Incredible. Had many hours underneath MK5s in the past, basically same car underneath. Good and bad memories 😂 If you ever needed any detailing etc then let me know, would be great to collab. 💪
Hello, I'm Marco Antonio and I live in Maceió AL - Brazil. I'm passionate about cars and a fan of the Passat Variant R36. Congratulations on the channel, and thank you for sharing your knowledge. I'm following the restoring of your R36. This car is not sold in Brazil. For me, it's a dream to have a car like this, all I can do is watch the RUclips videos. Success my friend!!
I think he should slap a big turbo on it and run it at 450BHP with the stock block. If Hamza was posting once a week I think he would get way more traffic on his channel and hopefully get the recognition he deserves.
Have you considered a front subframe deadest kit? It centres the subframe and stops it from shifting. The standard subframe holes are a lot larger than the bolts which means the subframe has a tendency to move under load
HI, I love your videos on that project. I drive one myself so I can tell you the original color is LC5C "Biscay Blue Metalic" - initially specific to the R-lineup. The calipers might be of a different color, they seem at least uni rather than metalic. Looking forward to seeing the rest of that series! 👍
Doing a cracking job, it’s coming a long very nice 👌 You’ve probably burst that ball joint boot using the splitter cos you normally have to use a hammer to get the fork part in. Never did like using them Keep up the good work
Its amazing how cars rot there! Need to invest in either Co2 or walnut shell blaster and a sandblast cabinet with glass bead media in it. SO much better for parts cleaning, and tonnes faster - then clear coat or anodize the aluminum bits.
Good job mate, just to life a bit easier next time a smear of copper grease on the track rod ends and on the bottom of the shocks so they slide into the hubs
Your work is superb and a pleasure to see you so this, looking stunning and you found a excellent example to make mint again Looking forward to the next steps It’s going to make it a pleasure to drive again Thank you Vdub :)
Great stuff...youve saved that car for many years to come....provided nobody does something silly. It should be worth a fair bit by the end. Mine would be worth a lot if it was mint, being low miles, but it gets used on our horrible roads, so its probably worth about 11k. Theres also a bit of rust appearing on wings, which ill have to deal with......anyway, proper job, well done.
There's something cool about this type of content where the youtuber actually bothers to clean components and parts of the car no one else will see. The vast majority of other channels just slap on the new parts with 0 cleaning and call it a day, since they're only in to flip the car/generate content.

Huge congrats on 200k subs, very well deserved and I love what you have done with the R36 buddy.
Thank you mate!
I just checked and I’ve been watching your vids for 6 years now. This channel just keeps getting better, so glad it’s working out for you man.

Didn’t even see this was uploaded! These videos are always so entertaining and I love watching them, great work mate👌
Masha'Allah, i bet its so rewarding doing things yourself.

Ive never really felt the need for one, may give it a go on the Scirocco
@@TRHamza it locks the subframe at dead centre so it helps with accurate alignment 👍🏻 no worries though, if it’s not a problem then there’s no need!
Mate. That thing looks unbelievable. Amazing series, I’m hooked. Can’t wait to get into the rest of your content
This restoration is so satisfying. It’s a lovely car but stripping it right back and treating it properly makes it extra satisfying.
Can’t wait for next episode, love this style of build , thanks for the hard work TR!🙂🇮🇪
This is one pampered R36! It's going to be a thing of beauty when it's finished!
Great attention to detail, could watch your videos all day, thanks for another great video
Love the level of attention you're putting into this one, Hamza!
R36 coming alright, congrats on 200k subscribers. You deserve it.
love your attention to detail and that Raptor paint is awesome.
I like the way how you start doing the miniature of the videos, you show us the parts , nice one hamza , it will work for good 👍
Every time I watch these vids on the r36.. just makes me want to do the same to my r32... looking sick bro!!
This series stays undefeated. Can't wait for the next as always
love this build! Glory to the VR6 engine
Always a top quality producer, the voice overs always make it that much better , great work always mate
I’m loving your videos mate. I’ve got all of the new parts to rebuild the underside of my Audi TT, so this is a real inspiration for me. Great work!!

Watching your episodes of restoration makes me want enough space to get a lift
Love watching this high every time he uploads im smiling
Great work, this car is looking amazing now.
I always know I’m in for some quality viewing when the latest Hamza video drops❤.
Top man. Loving your work and content. I have an R36 and you are giving me lots of knowledge and insight on doing maintenance on mine. Thanks!
Keep going mate. I'm working on my new old tired R36 at the moment. Chains engine mounts the whole deal. Almost engine out. Next episode let's go.

That’s an amazing difference loving this project
Salaam Alaikum brother. I always enjoy new uploads from Hamza! Congrats on 200k as well bro!
Nice work man! Got a MK5 Jetta myself, lots of miles. Looking to do something similar with it. Good to see an R36 being respected as it deserves.
Congrats on the deserved 200k subs brother, another great vid with no bs
This car is getting so much love and care it's almost like your own baby
Congrats on 200K subs too!! Well deserved.
Another video showing the satisfying restoration of this car, amazing work Hamza👌
Congratulations on 200k bro 💪🏽absolutely smashing it
Doing a cracking job, it’s coming a long very nice 👌
You’ve probably burst that ball joint boot using the splitter cos you normally have to use a hammer to get the fork part in.
Never did like using them
Keep up the good work
Hamza back with a bang been a while projects looking good
Try acf50 on the engine corrosion it’s spray on and leave it works a treat
Cheers for update, loving this R36, starting to look mechanically mint now. 🤙👍
Was wondering where you went my bro need more content 🙏🏽
Absolutley smashing it hamza! Loving this content man, keep up the good work.
Its amazing how cars rot there! Need to invest in either Co2 or walnut shell blaster and a sandblast cabinet with glass bead media in it. SO much better for parts cleaning, and tonnes faster - then clear coat or anodize the aluminum bits.
A great series, I loved my saloon which you can see here. The photo was taken at the Ring which was a great experience.
Nice! I’d love to take mine to the ring at some point.
Good job mate, just to life a bit easier next time a smear of copper grease on the track rod ends and on the bottom of the shocks so they slide into the hubs
I will be doing this on my 2006 V70r. A "little rust" is an understatement for the Volvo.
Loving the torque wrench clicking. Very M539 Restorations 👍 Congratulations on the 200k too 🔥
Amazing work! A beautiful car that deserves every bit of love
Always see his vids pop up before I go sleep
Always a good day when a new episode drops woot woot !!!
Something like ACF-50 on all the arms etc now would go a treat. Keep them protected too
Your work is superb and a pleasure to see you so this, looking stunning and you found a excellent example to make mint again
Looking forward to the next steps
It’s going to make it a pleasure to drive again
Thank you Vdub :)
Be interesting to see what the costs of all of those new parts were.
Also lanoguard it so it stays nice.
Hi,perfect video, amazing job on R36. Good luck.
What version of thickness of anti roll bal did you buy, thank you.
Great update, loads of progress. Dazzling mate 👍🏻
Did you have support on the engine from the top, when removing the subframe?
Just realised how good the gold and blue goes together, think you should get some parts wrapped Gold.
Congrats on 200k Hamza, another great video! 👍
Another awesome video. Congrats on reaching a new milestone on subscribers
Love your content, always a great watch
Great video, really enjoying seeing the hands on work.
Been waiting for this one.
B5 was the last good Passat. I still got one as a secondary car and no rust whatsoever.
Damn hamza its been a while..glad to see you back tho 👌
Mah Shaa Allah Congratulations on 200K Subs.
🤲🏼🇵🇸
this guy has every car a vw enthusiast would love to have 😂 , r32 ,r36 , gti , golf R you name it
Funny I had just added those Straame gloves to my amazon basket before watching this video, how are they?
I would love to see you do a skoda octavia vrs mk3 estate from standard to stage 3.
Made it look all straight forward and easy. Which it wasn't. But when you've got the tools and facilities it does help.👍
Agreed definitely wasn't easy! But all worth it in the end
Great stuff...youve saved that car for many years to come....provided nobody does something silly. It should be worth a fair bit by the end.

😂
The end result looks 👌🏽
Do u have anything supporting the engine from underneath the car after taking the sub frame off
On these transverse VW the engines are held up via their own mounts. So you can drop subframe without a support brace
Cant wait for the next video, loving the restoration so far
That thing is gonna be so nice when it's finished 👌
Nice work. Short and clear.
Long awaited video keep up the good work ❤❤❤❤
You should get another edition 30 on the channel for a restoration project 👍
Spray all your cleaned alloy pieces with Bilt Hamber clear wax spray to stop the, furring again
Yes please! Love a Hamza upload and the R36 is turning into a minter 👌
Looks beautiful. Nice work
why you dont upgrade to brembo z18?
Great work Hamza love your vids keep up the great work x
what you have done is what ive been doing to my r32
I'll be in the market for one of these next year some time, might wait till its done and offer :P
Great r36 passat, i own myself r32 mk5 awesome v6... Great content 👌
when i have the money one day im importing one of these no doubt, i have a 4motion 3.6 wagon alr but its just not the same
I was waiting for this… GOOD JOB!!!
Would love one of these. Nice work 👍
Get yourself a cheap sandblaster and cabinet, will save you so much effort and time for refurbishment of parts
What’s happening with the caddy?

God, the result are amazing mate.. 😊
Yesssss Hamza! Loving the R36 content!
