People started early just doesnt really have motivation ive been drawing since i was a kid but no motivation and didnt know whaat to draw so i drew like 10x a month but i only improved recently because i finally realized it, and with music like playing guitar i started late im at my teens and i got hooked to it i practiced 5 hours a day sometimes even more or sometimes not at all, its almost 1 year and i think that i am above averagr than what people try to learn at this point..

Thank you, I really needed to watch this today. I started drawing near the end of 2021 but had a few pauses along the way between work and school, and found myself constantly looking at others' works, both in awe and envy.
While art isn't my main focus as far as career fields go, it's still something that I want to pursue as a hobby until I can self-publish some work. I get down on my progress more often than I don't. I keep finding myself putting limits on and unrealistic expectations for myself, to the point where I would put down the pencil and stare off into space.
This made me realize that, I don't have to draw for anyone but myself. At the end of the day, I want this practice to be something I can always come back to and learn from.
    Thank you, once again.

I quitted drawing and sketching 3 years ago because of my family and some of my classmates, telling me it's worthless and a waste of time, until then I completely got rid of art ias a hobby of mine until now. thank you Draw like a Sir, these tutorials are very helpful for improving my lost hobby and motivating me to continue :))

Same, I loved art. In high school I was in every art class my school offered. And I got the “wow that’s really good, but what are you going to do with it?” Or “there’s no money in art, what are you going to do for your real job?” I regret letting that take away my motivation. I’m going to change that. It’s not too late!

I looked up “how to draw” looking to return to the motivation I had in middle school and I found the one and only video I needed to bring me back. Thank you. This is my first video I’ve seen of yours and I definitely subbed

This has been the most accurate advice regarding drawing I've ever heard someone say. All those things that took me 10 years to realise, starting really with the cheapest of supplies, not having put all those things into words but only a few when asked, summarised in only 15 minutes. I tip my hat at you, good sir....
Bonus love, FFVII music. Ah, a blessing to the ears.❤

This is from my personal perspective:
When people describe me as "Talented", it doesn't feel like a compliment. It feels more of a way to demotivate me. I know how my life played out and I know for a fact that I'm not those people who are born with advantages. I had to work for my skill.
They always call it "talent" yet never see the work you've done behind the scenes. I only got far enough with my own effort, "talent" isn't needed

I literally just clapped at the end of the video, this is so well done. For a week or two I think I haven't been enjoying art too but perhaps its time to change that. Pfffft, who cares about that pose that looks too skinny or your characters is now looking longer than you intended. Imma just grab the pencil and scribble to make something I like.

I really felt great watching this.
    Passion and motivation.
Passion, the love of what we are doing, and motivation, the reasons we love what we do.
This doesn't just apply to drawing; but anything we always wanted to do in our lives.
Thanks for this wonderful message, sir. ♥

The only thing I could concentrate on was: Is the piano music a really slow version of final fantasy Aerith's theme?
