Thanks for sharing the good days and the not so good days ! I know how you feel on the not so good days, I've been in some markets like that 😢. Hood luck on the next ones and don't give up !!! Yes, take a break of markets
Hopefully there will be more good days coming up lol. I'm happy to share every aspect though so thank you so much for your support. I'm definitely going to get some good rest in August so just three more markets between me and some down time!!
I am very grateful that I am able to share my experiences for others! Most of mine this summer have definitely been flops, it can be discouraging but we just have to take it as learning experiences to grow from and see what we can do different or better. I feel like this year it's really nothing we can do differently but we can use it as experience either way!
Darn, I was hoping that you would have a great market day. I love your positive attitude and that you share all of your experiences. I do believe that the economy may play are part in the turnout/spending habits this year. I agree with you about being invited to markets. It could be an indicator that it may not be a good one to do. Just know, I am still rooting for you. Keep up the good work. ~Crystal
Hi Bailey, just a heads up, Blu tack will leave an oily residue on clothing. The market scene is the same here in New Zealand. People just don't have the money to spend on extras these days. Hope it picks up for you! Sending love ❤
Thank you so much for the insight, I've switched to little velcro stickers that I'm going to put on the sides of the shelf! Thank you so much for the support I appreciate it so much
I kind of just like to try a little bit of everything lol because you never really know if it's going to be good, like I did that MOABs last year that based on social media was like popping and it was allll fakeness and I wouldn't have been able to really scope that out beforehand lol. It's definitely a chance of luck for sure
Yes markets are definitely not for the weak!! It's always a toss up, I've been feeling really discouraged lately but it's all a learning experience and I'm just trying to move forward and trying to remain positive. I had a really good market last weekend that really boosted my spirits though and has reinvigorated me!
RIP old Tally! I spent most of my time on Centennial so I rarely went to Tally. Also I am so dumb I went to look up photos of new Tally and actually I have been in there a few times lol. My dad used to look at the Tally progress cameras during construction and I would walk over there during construction so he could see me lol
Speaking from experience .....take a break on the vending. I did it too much and sat out almost a full year. Maybe try to find a place you can set up on a normal/consistent basis that you know has steady traffic. Summer months are slow for me(candles) so I generally use time to gear up...update website...new products..etc.
August is going to be my break month!! I have three events in July, one is kind of far but the other two is closeby so I'm not too stressed about those. There's not really anywhere near me that I've found where I could just set up that's consistent traffic. I'm definitely going to be using that time to work on TikTok/website/Etsy the whole shebang!
Question I do craft fairs and they have all been slow. Maybe it’s just a no spending year? A lot of first fairs that need time to grow? I don’t want to give up but it’s disappointing.
Economics are playing a part, I do believe this year in comparison to last year. Less people have spending power on non essentials. This does not mean every fair should leave you with no profit. Other things to consider are the market itself, the weather, and other factors that could be lending that market to a slow time, outside of economics. Also certain areas have different peaks in markets, outside of the holiday season.
I've seen in some of my vendor groups that people tend to see a dip in sales during election years so that could be one of the reasons! I don't want us to give up either so let's try to push through this year lol!
I was expecting June to be better too. Not that I'm not grateful for my sales, but other vendors said June would be $$$$$. Here's hoping July is better for both of us!!
I think it's just been markets in general that have been rough for everyone. I did great at my market this previous weekend so I don't think it's me lol
I know the lady who is running this market, I believe this is only her second market day, so this market will definitely take time to get some traffic, I politely declined attending due to this reason myself.
It definitely seems like a market that needs a little bit of time to grow. I will say the booth fee was a bit high considering the location, traffic, and newness of it. I hope it becomes successful though!

Thank you so much as always!! I am truly grateful for all of the kindness you all show to me :)
I love so much that you share the good and the bad. My last one was a huge flop, and it's discouraging! Your business is super cute and fun to watch!

In my short time vending at markets, I’ve learned to go to the market first and examine their social media before signing up to be a vendor.
I kind of just like to try a little bit of everything lol because you never really know if it's going to be good, like I did that MOABs last year that based on social media was like popping and it was allll fakeness and I wouldn't have been able to really scope that out beforehand lol. @@googoogoods that’s why I go check it out also. 🤗
Aww, I feel like you haven't had the best luck this summer. Take some weekends off if needed so you don't burn out.
It has definitely been a little stressful, I just have one on the schedule for August so I'm going to get some much needed rest for sure!
Markets are not for the weak. You never know if you will make money. I remember doing a market I made $60 and booth fee was $50. I was so discouraged.

Thank you so much!!
Talley Student Union. Yes the old one has been torn down and it has been rebuilt. It is big.

Oh no Bailey! 😢 I feel bad you had another flop! I sooo hope your next market is awesome!!!!
The market I just had definitely made up for it and hopefully the one this week is also great!
Events near me have also been real slow too. Sorry this was a bust. Love your content
Hopefully it will pick up for us both soon!! I really appreciate your kindness and support!
Tally at NC State is super nice now 😂 I am jealous because I never got to enjoy it either!
So jealous!!! I will say though that Tally may be good and all but hitting up the Atrium for Chickfila was my favorite thing to do lol

I definitely think there are a ton of different things at play for sure, hopefully we will begin to see an uptick in sales closer to the holidays!!
I was expecting June to be better too. Not that I'm not grateful for my sales, but other vendors said June would be $$$$$. Here's hoping July is better for both of us!!
I agree.. I have 3 new markets in July and nervous 😬
My market last weekend definitely made up for it but hopefully July is overall way better for all of us!!
We got this yall I feel July is gonna be our month!
Was this done at a church?
Yes this was at a church on Curry Ford!
I'm starting to think you should just set up at flee markets. I think you would do better there!
