Same! I love her creativity but never want to make the things she does. I'm not a fan of terra cotta or concrete or macrame. Guess that leaves me out, lol.
Hi Liz, thank you for sharing all your ideas 😊. I have an idea for you about the candle making. When I was younger ( lol I’m 61)… I learned how to make candles with the wax used in the kitchen to seal jars of homemade jams. And the molds were milk cartons ( here in Canada) or like you did with the juice container. But to make fancy candles we would put ice cubes in the container and then the wax. What it will do is a candle with tiny holes… fancy, lacy candle 😊. And to color our wax we would use pieces of our Crayola crayons lol. Hope it gives you ideas to make some! 😊
What goes around, comes around! When I was in grade school (I’m now 81) waaaaay back in the early 1950s, my mother also made square candles in milk cartons. Then she heated more wax and whipped it with an old-fashioned egg beater, and it became foamy. She applied that to the outside of her candle so it looked like snow. She may have added glitter - I wouldn’t do that today - and we had a beautiful new addition to our Christmas display.
Painting the cork black was just what it needed! I also love that I see other projects that you have done when you are showing the current item. The fact that you actually use the items you make makes it even better.
I’m only 17 mins in and already have 3 pieces I want to recreate! I’ve done some of your other ones and they came out beautifully! Can’t wait, your ideas are beyond helpful and unique! ❤️
LOL. The square candles in the juice or milk boxes! I’m reliving my childhood. 😂 For a fancy look, we would put ice cubes into the boxes before pouring the wax in. It makes a lacy open appearance. They are more decorative than functional, though you can increase the functionality by sinking a glass pillar candle in the center before pouring the wax all around it.
I’m in the U.K. and we don’t have Dollar Tree, Hobby Lobby etc, but I just adapt your ideas to suit the items that are available to me. Thank you so much for inspiring me to be creative with your wonderful work.
Your sconce is great....Pottery Barn and similar "high-end" stores charge stupid amounts of money for what you can hack from Dollar Tree! The Dollar Tree paint/canvas is BANANAS. So cool!
Hi Liz! Your DOLLAR TREE is a lot nicer than the ones here in Jacksonville Florida. I loved the square candles you made and my favorite were the cement candlesticks with the wood pieces in them. I watch you all the time now and I'm in awe of the pieces you create. You are pretty amazing.
I live in Atlantic Beach and always asking how do these other states have such bigger Dollar Trees than they do in Jacksonville? Been going to one in Atlantic Beach for probably 25 years and still the same size even though they have tried to expand. I would love to make a lot of her ideas but like you said the ones here are in no way a comparison to what some of these RUclipsrs show us when they go to their stores!
This tip is from "our upcycled life" for the air dry clay. She uses two wood slats from an old shutter, they are about a quarter inch thick. Just 2 small pieces about 6 inches long. She lays them on the table and puts the clay in the middle and then uses the rolling pin to flatten out the clay. The wood slats keep the clay at the same consistant thickness.
Air dry tips, make sure your clay is about 1/4” thick ; use the rolling pin to impress the florals - you’ll get a better EVEN impression which lessen the stress on the clay ; allow the clay to dry SLOWLY ( the slower the better ) by covering gently with a damp cloth if necessary.
For the moss art I probably would have painted it a moss color first to help hide some of those “bare spots”. I LOVE black and white pictures. They look so elegant. Air clay needs to dry slower as not to crack. Use a paint brush and lightly apply water occasionally throughout the day. Your air clay is drying to fast. The balloon craft looks like fun 🤩
The balloon art is AWESOME! We did this for a gender reveal for my first granddaughter! Only one pink and no blue. Everyone took turns bursting the balloons! The canvas hangs in her room 5 years later! Thanks for sharing.
Love your creative eye for DIY’s, Liz! Everything is so nice! Just throwing an idea out there…..but with the clear container with the curlers wrapped in burlap to organize rings/jewelry, you can use FELT to wrap them up!! A couple months back I had actually bought everything to make one gif myself and had gotten felt. It’s soft and you can find different colors of felt as compared to burlap colors. Just wanted to share with you and your followers as another option!!! OH - DOLLAR TREE!!!!😂😂 TYSMFS ❤
I love your dollar store door stop, it’s prettier than the high end one and the colored concrete items, I didn’t know you could put paint in the concrete. Very pretty. I want to try it with plant pots 😊
For a interesting look place some ice cubes in container then pour the wax over the ice. If out side ( beach ) and need a craft for children. Have them dig hole then pour the hot wax into the 🕳️ hole . ( Can take sand from the beach and make in a container). Also if they found rocks or sea shells can place in the wax container.
i think the circle with the scrunched up fabric , they used like a watered down plaster or maybe drywall mud. at first i thought it was concrete like they do when they drape fabric over a vase or something, but i think it's more like drywall mud,
Tip, if you dip the cloth (I used a white sheet) in the quick cement and then shape it the way you want on the canvas, it’ll come out so well and then you can paint it
Love the compilation of awesome ideas - I've sent so many of your videos to my email (that I watched and want to make things) -- a video including 50 at a time helps decluttering my inbox. 😂 ❤
"Candle Holder Diy's" I really liked your 3 small crate centerpiece with the green glasses and the gold stacked and glued candle holders with the luminara candles you did at the end of the video with the green glasses.
1857 and Cohorts: easy people! She has to dumb it down for people like me who slavishly recreate her every move! If she used popping colors I wouldn't have the courage to try anything! After I recreate her looks, I sometimes have the courage to try branching out to use my own colors and ideas.
I’m on my husband’s account but I found your site while in the hospital for complications due to congestive heart failure as well as sepsis. I am now officially addicted! I’m a terrible organizer but your ideas have inspired me to change that. Can you provide any diy ideas for organizing makeup without much space?
Hi , I live in an area that has zero dollar tree plus . There also isn’t one by my parents high end area . So it’s great when mentioned here that you found it at the plus store . Yesterday I went searching for some items RUclipsrs had mentioned and couldn’t find any of the items . Didn’t realize that they had different types of stores ❤
Hi there I believe she said Dollar Tree plus section which means it's at the regular Dollar Tree but this specific section has items that are over a dollar. Hopefully that makes sense and Happy crafting 😊🫶🏼
I bought the pour paint from dollar tree a year ago and haven’t touch it but you have given me that push to go try using my paints. Loved the colours you used on your projects.
Air dry clay tip: could be multiple of things. Too thin. I use wood pieces on each side of the clay to at least keep the clay even in size and not too thin. Also could be lack of humidity in the room you have it drying in. Both can cause parts of it to dry quicker than others which can cause cracking. Still came out great and you salvaged the project wonderfully!

Love your energy! Enjoy all your wood glass ceramic and paper projects!...plastic not so much
Honestly, if you pretreated that super soft wood, a more even and attractive stain would be achieved. Of course, if one is going for that rustic look, no presatin treatment would be necessary.
Dollar Tree ......I thought you got a good do on the "marble" doorstop. I don't have walls for much "decor" as I'm living in a very large RV that has little space for wall decor. But the little storage options (like the little drawers you glued together) are nice ideas. I went to the Dollar Tree yesterday and bought about $150 in spices if purchased elsewhere for about $25. I will watch some of your storage videos for more ideas. Good job. This was fun to watch.
Very nice. Please do more pours. I would love to see recs for going outside dollar tree for silver or gold veins throughout the pour art. Would you be able to combine the spackling with the pour for an art piece? TIA 0:30 candle holder 08:23 tray 10:22 bath w/gold trim 14:08 paint pour 19:11 spackling 38:02 spackling planters
Hey Liz could you please do some Dollar Tree hacks on yard decoration now instead of Spring and Summer? We gardeners are so busy then we don’t have time to make things. Thanks.
My friend I enjoy watching your channel, you always have the best diy projects. I have always been afraid to try things, but the more I watch your channel I really want to start trying ❤
Es increíble tu belleza tus ojos tu cabello,!además tus ideas son buenísimas Your beauty is incredible, your eyes, hair and also your ideas are excellent. I congratulate you. I am a Venezuelan in Miami, Florida
The ring holder with burlap would be perfect for travel as well bc you can easily see whats in there and they remain in place during travel. 🎉 Love all your content… cement (can you add color to the cement??) candles and wood, I want to make, and the canvas/moss, “petal” planter, so many…I was just watching the segment with the candles/moss/domes/handles…could you use the remote control puck lights in those for added light, maybe in the living room in the evenings??? 🤷🏽♀️
I LOVE YOUR DIYS THAT YOU MAKE IN THIS VIDEO, IT GIVES US SUCH WONDERFUL IDEAS AND NO I DON’T FIAND THAT YOU USE TO MUCH CONCRET SOMETHING 😂 I FIND IT GIVES US BEAUTIFUL FINISHES FOR KITCHENS, BATHROOM AND SO MANY PLACES, I JUST LOVE WHAT YOU DO FOR US…!!! Would love to see more colors in your projects! Something besides black, brown and beige
Same! I love her creativity but never want to make the things she does. I'm not a fan of terra cotta or concrete or macrame. Guess that leaves me out, lol.
LOL she painted the bath items “2 different colors:” white & off-white 😂
I agree @jenseely1857 more color 👍

Yes... and sand candles
I love them all! I will say though, the circle with the fabric, is a thousand times easier if you dip it in starch water instead of mod podge 😉
The dollar tree door stopper a plus. I enjoyed watching you do all of your products ❤
I’m in the U.K. and we don’t have Dollar Tree, Hobby Lobby etc, but I just adapt your ideas to suit the items that are available to me. Thank you so much for inspiring me to be creative with your wonderful work.

I loved the ring box but would prefer to use a coloured velvet instead of burlap. Always love all your ideas, Liz. 💕💕
The balloon art is AWESOME! We did this for a gender reveal for my first granddaughter! Only one pink and no blue. Everyone took turns bursting the balloons! The canvas hangs in her room 5 years later! Thanks for sharing.

Place the succulent before the cement dries in the cone
Liking the large planter with a spackling.
Liz, you knocked it out of the park this time , every one of them are very very original and neat, especially liked the square candle.
I love your dollar store door stop, it’s prettier than the high end one and the colored concrete items, I didn’t know you could put paint in the concrete. Very pretty. I want to try it with plant pots 😊

I did that as a child with a candle making kit! Thanks for the memory!
Very pretty painting ,& very shiny too..
i think the circle with the scrunched up fabric , they used like a watered down plaster or maybe drywall mud. at first i thought it was concrete like they do when they drape fabric over a vase or something, but i think it's more like drywall mud,
Maybe use tissue paper crumpled

The Dollar Tree door stop was by far better!!!💜💜💜

You’re so patient and talented!!!! Thanks for the ideas, I will try some in my yard!
The moss art piece looks good on styrofoam initial letters
Liz-
I REALLY ENJOY WATCHING YOU.
THANK YOU.
1 QUESTION-
DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEAS ON HOW TO REUPHOLSTER KITCHEN STOOLS ??
Thank you
Dollar Tree. Love your ideas with the quick Crete.
Hello, I just came by your wonderful pages, I shall be watching them over the weekend and beyond.😊
If I was to show up at your front door unannounced, would I see any of these "decor" items in YOUR house? Asking with complete sincerity.
You and Robbie in a greenhouse are like a kid in a candy shop. I love it!!!
My favorite is the tropical coverup. I plan on living in swim suits and laying by the pool all summer long
Beautiful crafts. I loved them all so I can't choose which I liked the best. 😊
"Candle Holder Diy's" I really liked your 3 small crate centerpiece with the green glasses and the gold stacked and glued candle holders with the luminara candles you did at the end of the video with the green glasses.
Your creativity blows my mind! You are fantastic!
P.s. another option;
Since you have cricket
Design as FOOTPRINTS!!!
1857 and Cohorts: easy people! She has to dumb it down for people like me who slavishly recreate her every move! If she used popping colors I wouldn't have the courage to try anything! After I recreate her looks, I sometimes have the courage to try branching out to use my own colors and ideas.

On your display with pillow case.
Personally I'd design as a sea scape with blues/whites.
Really enjoy your videos

Back in the 70 s they made this candles the same way BUT dropped ice cubes into the wax once it cooled it made it interesting. Lighting it made

Love the quick retention candals&yourfoamboard mirror just maybe glue two pieces together ❤😊

Honestly, if you pretreated that super soft wood, a more even and attractive stain would be achieved. Of course, if one is going for that rustic look, no presatin treatment would be necessary.
Ohhhh, Liz, you could sooo use the wire from that “hello” sign for the wood marbled pieces ❤

That painting is amazing! How fun!!!!
Your sconces with the canvases are BRILLIANT!!! ❤
Saving money is always the best choice
Lol I hate paint pours, but you do you! ❤
Add water First before any dry ingredient, such as plaster, powder or Quick Crete, there will be less dust & it will mix easier !!!
Dollar tree, thank you so much for the ideas!!!

My friend I enjoy watching your channel, you always have the best diy projects. I have always been afraid to try things, but the more I watch your channel I really want to start trying ❤
