POV- Trigger finger lore “You didn’t have to cut me off! Make out like it never happened than we were nothing and I don’t even need your love but you treat me like a stranger and it feels so rough”
My pinkie just suddenly starting doing this a few minutes ago and I have no clue why. I can move it fine, but when I bend it, it suddenly snaps to a further position. I probably have a very mild version of this, when I close my index finger it clicks at the base, it also occasionally feels as if it's being slightly caught. Probably caused by excessive mouse clicking and holding a badminton racquet wrong.
same but with my left ring finger. no idea how i got it, ive had it for years. it's almost like my finger is lagging lmao
@@itsmetater Are you left or right handed?
@@snakeofminthumbugs330 right handed

I had it badly, the most important thing at first is to REST, if I had listened to the docs I'd have worse issues. today was the first time playing my guitar in a while, have faith and rest and give yourself proper nutrition and then worry about the stretching and rehab
So beautifully explained... I love your videos you explain even difficult topics easily with those animation and graphics. It makes us easy to comprehend such topics which are difficult to understand just by reading so thankyou so much..
My dad had this, he was a biker and now he can’t even ride his motorcycle anymore because of it. It truly does suck a lot cus that was a big part of him and he just had to give it up cus his can’t was being dumb
I thought what he meant by trigger finger is in a game when u can shoot really fast or click fast on a pc game
I thought trigger finger was shooting too much in fps games
when you play too much rhythm games or roblox but you feel nothing
"is this true?"

hello, nice animation. Please tell me if the pulley that is cut by the surgeon will grow back ? or will it remain forever cut ??
Bro same question.
Weird they cut it and left it on its own.
What about its hold on the tendon it used to have??
@@munazah9838 i did this surgery and asked the surgeon, he said it will not grow back but it doesn't matter because it's useless, there are some parts of the body that are useless so cutting it out doesn't matter
this surgery was quite quick and painless, i can now move my thumb like i never could before, very good
What does it look like when you Crack a knuckle
I'd pay for these guys to make a video on that 😭
My ring finger snaps when I bend it and it hurts acutely. Feels like there is a lock between the bones.
I know this comment is a little old but I get this sometimes with my index finger. pre-bending the finger with the other hand without using the muscle and then I just flex and pull the muscle in that finger and it just gets unstuck.
Like imagine these numbers are the position changing: 1, 2, 3, 4, 9, 10, 11. Like it’s skipping to a further angle/position when I bend it.
Once you see it you can't unsee it 1:10
If you do not get it, then your brain is still in one piece
Wow this is interesting
"Your incision *may* be closed at the end of the procedure."
This implies there's a significant chance they just leave an open wound?
"At the end of the procedure, your incision may be closed with stitches " is what it says! @ 2:56
The incision is seldom more than an inch long and could possibly be closed with steri strips.
Got this in my left middle finger from lifting heavy furniture for my job lmao
Did it get better? Is there a treatment?
@@aasif296 The treatment was literally described in the video
Finialy....a proper animation. Thank you
Thank you, beautifull presentation.
Huh. I worked in an architectural window factory over my summer. Every morning I woke up I would have this trigger-like sensation in my fingers. It’s nice to know what this is biologically. Luckily it wasn’t permanent.
Tell me it stop hurting and its normal again.
@@murmurcub yeah fortunately the swelling only persisted as long as I did the work, so when I went back to school after the summer I was fine.
Yeah my girlfriend really likes my finger to LOL 😂😂
Good joke bro
Which finger?😁
I kept seeing this in my recommended so many times so I finally decided to watch it

It’s so crazy how doctors figure this stuff out, like it just amazes me that this is your daily reminder Jeffery Epstein didn’t kill himself…I love doctors and surgeons.
Glad to see mother nature had gamers in mind when she created fingers.
Dang, this makes me cringe a little bit. Looks like it hurts
It hurts very much...I have it 😢
Have watched it before when I do not have it. Just this hour while practicing finger assignment I have noticed that my little finger on my right hand is getting locked and I remerbered this and getting very nervous for possible clinic visitations and treatment. And oh, it is so hard typing a comment this long with my left hand just to share this nightmare I have.
Never felt so grateful about my finger.

Awesome explanation ..well done😍😍❤
After cutting the pulley, wouldn't the gripping strength in that finger be permanently weak?
I’m gonna think about this for the rest of the day now.
as a guitar player, getting this would be the end of me
My stem teacher seemed to have a severe case of this in his pinkie. Could not straighten it at all. Was stuck in a loose fist. He said he had to get fingerprints done once and it was quite a predicament tryna get that finger to stick out. He doesn’t really seem to care though and doesn’t want treatment. Cool guy.
I had trigger thumb correction when I was 6 years old. The crazy thing is I actually remember most of that experience from getting put under then waking up. I even remember the toys they gave me when I woke up, and riding in the glass elevator at the hospital. That was 21 years ago.
They put you under general anaesthesia? This seems like such a small surgery, I feel like they could easily do it under local anaesthesia. Maybe because you were a kid? But they will take out full on teeth at the dentist from kids under only local anaesthesia.
@@rachelcookie321 All I remember about being put under was thr mask on my face, being told to count down from ten then waking up after getting halfway through saying 8.
Ive been watching random videos on how certain things work in our body and mannnnn our bodies are so amazing. I feel so horrible for treating my body so bad.
I've had as long as I can remember a locking sensation on my left middle finger when I try to fully close my hand but never with any pain/swelling nor has it gotten worse over the decades so I just tend to forget about it. Nice to know there's a name for that tho.
Cool, apparently I've had some sort of trigger finger for years now... in both pinkies. No pain, no swelling, just slight abrupt locking sensations when I straighten or curl them
Same and in my right middle finger,I can’t bend them without them going click and sometimes my pinkies hurt ,I have to stop handwriting in school so I use an iPad and keyboard instead
Once dropped a 30kg chunk of steel on my right index finger and cut the tendon, it shrunk so much they had to pull it back out of my forearm, after a month I could move the finger just fine again, the doctors did an amazing job.
