I got the BENFEI capture card for £15 has the exact same specs as in the video while running games. Zelda TOTK running on a switch will run perfectly fine using these types of capture cards on the quest 3. BUT running ps5 games with more complex textures etc do tend to show latency issues. I tested a few games like MW3, Red dead 2, no mans sky and a couple others. Red dead online had significant latency issues, most likely with the lack of settings to offset the issue. MW3 was better but not perfect, mostly due to the ability to offset latency by removing motion blur and other related image performance aspects that can cause such frame rate drops or latency issues. No mans sky had similar noticeable latency but was pretty good. Like i said, good quality for money, picture quality is great but playing games on ps5 etc will highlight the obvious draw backs for the price range. Tested this card with YUY2 1920x1080 video and the video was 10 FPS maximum, which was unwatchable. Good image quality though. MJPG is 50-60 FPS at 1920x1080 but I find the video looks blurry now, especially since the v71 update! HAGiBiS reckons that the USB 3.0 interface on the Meta Quest 3 is being restricted to less than 5Gbps which would cause a lower YUY2 video frame rate. Not sure why Meta would do this? What frame rate do you currently get with 1920x1080 YUY2 video using the HAGiBiS card? Cheers 👍
Almost all cheaper cards are USB 2.0 even if they advertise as 3.0. No support for YUY2 and low frame rate. And they don't have Power Delivery so there is no real competition to card from this video.

The HDCP was not turned off but it’s still disconnecting after doing so. I’m thinking the capture card is defective. I am using the 60hz orientation of the USB C connector.
Now I see that it does the same to your Switch and that you are referring to the capture card, not cable. Maybe you connected power before connecting it to the Quest? Then disconnecting is normal.
Now when I first plug the capture card in I can select 1920 x 1080 @60fps and after about 10 seconds it disconnects before I even tap start streaming. After that happens I can’t even select the 1920 x 1080 @60fps and only 1920 x 1080 @50fps shows up in the drop down menu. I’ve never used a capture card before so do you think it’s defective or am I doing something wrong?

I don't know if your wireless HDMI supports HDCP. However, as I mentioned in the video, it's not HDCP 2.2, so there is no 4K HDR. But Quest would not get better quality because of them anyway.

So is 1080p max resolution? I set it to 2k I think in SD settings but nothing happened, display still read as 1080p.
Yes 1080p is maximum resolution. 2K is almost the same resolution (2048x1080), so there is no difference really. However I known some people use "2K* wrong, thinking that's 2560x1440 px. This you can't get.
