Today we’re discussing the Omega Constellation Globemaster Co-Axial Master Chronometer. This is a 39 mm stainless steel watch with tungsten carbide - an Omega Pie-Pan revival.
This watch is one for the traditionalists in size and sensibility.
In many ways, this is the watch that Omega die-hards had been waiting on for decades. Since the Griffin Claw 1982 Omega Constellation Manhattan, there had been a clambering for a revival of the watch that most Omega aficionados associate with the constellation name - the original 1952 Pie-Pan Constellation. In 2015 at BaselWorld, Omega finally answered with a regular production Pie-Pan.
The watch is 39mm across, 13 mm thick with a sloped tungsten carbide bezel, which allows it to easily slide underneath a formal cuff. The 46.5 mm from lug to lug watch wears well on a broad range of wrists, even down to as low as 13.5 cm in circumference.
With this watch, Omega joins the ranks of watchmakers like Oris and Breitling, dabbling in tungsten as a metallic tone alternative to ceramics.
The watch has a cushion case profile, which spreads the weight nicely. It is paired beautifully with a very substantial dark navy blue, bolstered, monotone-stitch, folded edge, alligator leather strap. The polished and satin finished clasp features the Omega logo and a twin trigger release, along with a minder system, giving the entire watch a clean aesthetic.
The watch is fully lumed giving it sports watch sensibility underneath its formal watch credentials. It features the Calibre 8900.
This watch is a great effort by Omega.

My wedding ring is tungsten carbide, and since you're supposed to match your metals... That's enough justification to add this to my wish list, right?
1,000%! 😉😄
Anything to convince the wife :)
Seeing the recent preowned and grey market prices on this watch, I am starting to think that the Globemaster is a whole lot for your money and a terrific value at less than $5k in steel.
The Globemaster is a fantastic piece and is very versatile.
Hum trying to justify going from GS spring drive to this, after buying 5 seikos n the last 2 months (sla019, sje073, scve 045 Etc) I was going for a 003 but this has my envy.
Thank you for the precise run down. Very on my wish list...
Great watch for sure, thank you for watching!
Đồng hồ này giá bao nhiêu tiền vậy bạn? Thanks
Is there any 18K white gold version? How many 950 platinum pieces do they produce each year?? It’s impossible to find any.
amazing watch 😍😍😍
Wish it was a bit thinner
sharp watch
Tim, this on a bracelet or the Z-Blue Milgauss? Imagine it's going to be your only high end luxury watch.
pro tip, always always go bracelet. its easy to pick up a really nice after market strap but getting the perfect bracelet is near impossible
THIS.
I love Omega, but why would anybody buy this watch over Jaeger LeCoultre Master Control date 39mm.... they cost exactly the same.
I went to my AD to purchase a JLC, but then somehow I tried this. This watch just felt better, so I went with it.
Also, the specs - COSC + METAS certification, anti-magnetism, etc. - were better, and it looked beautiful.
Omega I 🇨🇭🌍🇮🇶💪🙂👍روووووووووووعة
how much?

~7000usd
The engine turned bezel does not look good. Why doesn't Omega offer the Globemaster with a plain bezel?
Also surprised that it does not have a screw-in crown.
It's a pie pan dial and it's what makes a constellation. Without it, it's be an aquaterra. Coincidentally that watch also happens to be the one with a screw down crown
It’s a dress watch.
The most unflattering overpriced watches. It’s amazing, cool video tho, I like your knowledge
By unflattering, I assume you mean not as blingy as a white gold Rolex? This watch has a substantially better movement than a Rolex Sub for less money, and is in on par re: the build quality and finishing of the case and band.
@@melbguy1 unflattering because they are not aesthetically pleasing IMO. Tissot makes better watches
@@TunedRAMS I disagree re: Tissot which are only comparable to Seiko's Prospex line
