correct me if I'm wrong but it sounds like a 6v 71 or 6v92 Detroit diesel engine with the v730 Allison automatic transmission or maybe a 8v71 Detroit diesel engine with the v730 Allison automatic transmission in the ex New York bus service
between those years i say manhatten would have got them 1st then the rest of the boro`s when they were new but since we have 5 boro`s staten island used get the old buses from other boro`s never new that mean when u get 2 staten island and u live here and u see the old buses out here that mean the bus is on it`s last life span before it is retired. so i would say they would come 2 staten island in 1994
that means it`s last life span on the road in staten island before it would be retired the fishbowl and what problems would the Flxibles have when jersey got them from nyc transit is it the frame would get cracks or sumthing else let me know in 1980 when nyc had them it said gruman on the back top of the Flxible
nyc transit should have bought the Fishbowls instead of those Flxibles from 1980. if nyc bought the last Fishbowls that they is discontinued in 1986 was there last year production then they might have retired the 1986 in 2000 or 2006.
Can't beat the 8V71 sound.
Very Nice! Sounds like a 8V71!
Yup. GMDD T8H-5308A.
It was shot the same day it was posted.
This is a 1982 GM Canada Fishbowl 5308 I think.
