Spectacular coverage bro!! That’s a day of battling… battling the elements, nonstop rain, heat, humidity, nut jobs in traffic. I like how you guys shut it down early, that’s how I love to travel; blow out early, and shut it down before the sun goes down, so to have time to shower, unwind, grab dinner, and a good nights rest. You two were killin it; nice work! Thanks for the props out to our farmers. Bro those are my roots having grown up on a 3rd generation Midwest farming operation, grew corn, soybeans, wheat, alfalfa, and several head of cattle. High stress, work 7 days a week in the field, 18 hours a day, for one paycheck in the Fall at Harvest. Had you guys continued west thru Iowa, Nebraska, it’s exactly what you saw thru Illinois & Indiana; more beautiful, meticulous farm country as far as the eye can see. Listen online to Paul Harvey tell the story, God made a Farmer. It’s the real deal.
John now you know why us country boys feel so uneasy in your part of the country we feel so closed in and trapped. Especially with so many people around us. Hot and humid the corn loves hot humid weather!! Thank you for the video
I love literally everything about this video!! Been a shitty few weeks but getting up early and tossing this on REALLY made my day!! Felt like I was right there riding with you, but without all the misery of the rain!! LOLZ!! Thanks for all you do John!!
Your videos are always very informative and give us a real sense of what it’s like to do these trips without being their. One negative is your choice of music is bad and that you play to much of it. I’d rather hear you talk or just the motorcycle. Keep up the content and stay safe….
Awesome video John...you and Glen rock your sincere enthusiasm is contagious..had a great afternoon after getting caught in the rain early this morning..cruisin the back roads outside Houston
2:35 - I tried a similar helmet set up during the World Record Poker Run - with (goggles over) glasses. It didn't work out too well. LOL. What goggles are you using? 4:08 - 🤣🤣I love the tapping fingers "thinker" pose... 18:40 - So you and Glen had an actual Super Mario Bros. Koopa Troopa experience?!?!??!!
Wow. Between the heavy rain and all of the crazy stuff happening with turtles, wrong way drivers and did I mention the heavy rain and sleet. Gees you two are real troopers. Much respect for making that journey.
Love your trip documenting, John. Re/ the road incidents, we drive our suv the 1600 miles from Rochester, NY to Hilton Head Island, SC in the fall, and back again in the spring. We have one or two close calls on each trip. I can imagine how scary that would be on my motorcycle. Glad you made it safe. Love the ride music you have, and that helmet is a classic.😛
2 weeks ago, I packed up my Pan Americas hard cases. Jumped on the bike and in 72 hrs did an nice 2500 mile round trip from my place in Pa to Daytona then right back to my place. I was supposed to join the family for our yearly Cape May vacation but the wife and kids got to go a week early and the day I was supposed to join them for my week, they all came down with Covid-19. I think I enjoyed the Ride a tad bit more.
Im from that area in Missouri and had you gone a little farther west to Bates City, MO there is a great little BBQ place there if its still there called Bates City BBQ. Brings back great memories as a kid! Love the content! Makes me want to ride the wheels off my bike!
Thank the man upstairs help you get thru all that and get home to your family John. May god bless them farmer’s and the police officers out there doing their jobs.
Rain sucks. Got caught in the gorge, coming back outta Chattanooga. Only 30ish miles, and not a happy camper. Kudos to you guys setting out in that mess!
DAMN, I WAITED OUT A RAINSTORM AT THAT CASEYS IN MISSOURI 2 YRS AGO HEADED TO STURGIS! LAST YR WHEN I WENT AS SOON AS I HIT I-70 THE TEMPS DROPPED TO LOW 70S ALL THE WAY TILL IOWA THEN IT GOT HUMID AND HOT AND WAS THAT WAY EVEN IN STURGIS!
Great video brudda. I used to live in Kansas City MO. To say that people do stupid shit like that is a new thing would be an understatement. Daily…daily occurrence. When I travel west I now take I72 much kore relaxing and scenic in my opinion.
Riding in the rain bites. There’s no good thing about being out in that crap I don’t care what gear or bike you’re riding. Glad you guys powered through it and soldiered on. Interstates are full of lunatics behind the wheel, as you witnessed in Kansas. Triple-digit temps are the norm in the mid-west so, welcome brother 😎
I am l👀king forward to seeing Y’all Walsing A crossed Kansas 🕷I love the Speed limit ♥️ If you stay in Denver get a hotel in Golden Colorado it’s cheaper and less crime 🎶🎵 Be sure to go to the pawnshops in Denver you can buy expensive tools for little of nothing 💲 Mail them home 🏠 Love from DeKalb Mississippi USA 🇺🇸 🦅🇺🇸
Love the helmet, you don't feel claustrophobic with the goggles? Guys - let's get John to 70k subs...reach out to your friends. (shout out to Chrome Werks)
Here's an idea I used for years. My thoughts on taking in the air are as follows. Plan your trip in the wintertime . If your heading west you should do back roads from IOWA west . There's nothing like putting through little towns ( off the expressways of America). I mapped stops every 110 miles so we could ALL fuel up. Gas stations are scattered here n there out west .If your going to STURGIS catch route 20 in North IOWA ,Goes all the way through Nebraska and you end up in the South Dakota grasslands National Park. You can go 100 miles without seeing a car or truck ,wel maybe a pickup or 2 . We also rode through Native American Reservations! Just a word to the unwise, they have their own laws and adhere by them. I needed gas and stopped in a small farm town, sun was going down,it was 105° ,I looked at the pump and it had 2 choices.I went inside and said to the girl "Hey miss, you got high octain " ? She said," mister take yer pick, we got gas for your truck,or gas for your tractor " ! Life in the bowels of AMERICA.
sounds like an eventful day guys im definetly packing my old dirtbike goggles for rain my full face with the visor closed still fogs so im stealing your idea ride safe guys my friends and I are doing sturgis next year riding out from nh
I hate riding on the rain. People turn on their stupid gene when the first raindrop falls. I envy you guys that can eat like that on the road. If I ate like that I wouldn’t make it 20 miles and I’d be in the shi**er for hrs.

Great stuff, as usual, John. You guys are maniacs! Hey, you should get an endorsement deal for that cellphone case. It took a pounding in that rain.

Great content but the music overlay is just too loud, almost drowns out your voice…and a bit annoying
Man that Music has to go. Had to cut it down so far I could barely hear you talking. .
