I just love seeing Cynthia's Garchomp one-shot legendaries. It's always hilarious. > "I AM THE GOD OF TIME AND SPACE" > Even Satan fears what he has created > *gets rolled by an Earthquake*
I got through most of her team, then I was hit by both Garchomp and Lucario. I was about even in levels with her, but that didn't matter, I only beat her not because after a certain point I was over leveled, I beat her, because I was lucky. the difference between the Elite Four and Cynthia was drastic, it was one of the most challenging battles one could experience, there were people who thought she would be easy, but they aren't boasting about how "easy" she is now. And she was difficult in DPPt, GF took her to another level in BDSP, which was the best part in BDSP, most certainly the greatest champion in Pokemon franchise history.
I maintain that she wasn’t that hard in dppt, harder than a lot of other champs but not that bad, we were all just 10 years old and dumb xd in bdsp though, they made her live up to her reputation
I always build my team around this upcoming battle whenever I (re)play through the games. Even then, I still get caught out since I try different Pokemon. I tried Altaria but Altaria's really bad now so Lucario finished mine off easily, & walled the rest of my team. My weakened team had no chance against Garchomp, so I banished Altaria to the shadow realm & trained up a Cleffa in the underground all the way up to a Clefable & high-diff cheesed-swept through Cynthia's team with her with a move pool consisting of Calm mind, Dazzling Gleam, Grass Knot & Healing Wish. Calm mind boosted Clefable's defence to the point she could withstand Roserade's STAB Sludge Bomb & two-shot her. Lucario tried to set up, & got one-shot with Dazzling Gleam like Spiritomb. Gastrodon and Milotic were one-shots, too, with Grass knot, after I had further boosted Clefable's special attack with Calm Mind on Milotic. And Garchomp was a one-shot after the power of friendship saw Clefable endure a Poison Jab with 1hp. I did need to use a Full Restore on the turn Milotic tried a Mirror Coat so I felt a little dirty. I faced her original team with the same setup & instead used Ambipom to max out her special attack with Nasty Plot & Baton Pass it off to Clefable to one-hit OK Spiritomb. With no defence buff, Roserade finished my Clefable that time so my Infernape cleaned her up. In came Gastrodon so I brought in Snorlax & proceeded to sweep through the remainder of her team with Belly drum powered Earthquakes, using Rest & one Full Heal on Milotic allowing Snorlax to withstand Garchomp's Earthquake without affection & one-hit KO him with his own. Brutal battle.
well there's 2 sides to that. a battle that wouldn't have you use any items would be a real shitty final boss... more importnantly, literally everything in BDSP was made easier from the originals expect this fight, which was made way harder.
@@vlogergames What about flint's minimize Drifblim that baton passes it to a pokemon like Infernape let's just say I got swept to that....twice (I was also doing itemless so no X accuracy or revive spam shit-nanigans for me)
@@pokemata1035 Ambipom armed with Substitute, Nasty Plot & Shock Wave is the perfect counter to Flint's Drifblim. While Flint buffs his Drifblim's evasion to nearly unhittable levels to pass off to Infernape, you power up Shock Wave 2 or 3 times with Nasty Plot & delightfully one-shot Infernape as soon as he comes in with Shock Wave that bypasses evasion buffs. 🤭
I mean don’t get me wrong I get for maybe a hard it’s not as hard as it seems but if you have to rematch her more than once and have to rely on spamming heals and free ship boost than that isn’t a easy fight
they legit made her harder in the remake because we all have this idea that she was super hard in the original. she has actually decent items and I would be willing to bet her IVs are higher than they were in DPp
So I don't think it matters. So in D/P I think Cynthia IS WAY Harder. In Platinium she got Nerfed. In B/W - There's 2 ways to go about it. 1st is when your underlv, and you face her with lv 30s, cause I was lv 30s when I entered the house and no I WOULD NEVER Insult Cynthia by saying No to her. Yes I get cooked. the other is coming back after beating the League, then she's easy. Then there's BDSP
Grinding is actually easy at this point in the game. Just rematch the elite four. And yeah you'll lose a little bit of money whenever you lose but who cares you don't need it.
i know you thought you were gonna slam dunk it with a fairy move, but like dragons, ghost type pokemon are weak against their own. and spiritomb is a relatively tanky pokemon. so that was definitely not the play xd.
@@vlogergames buddy when I first faced her all the way back in diamond I had a level 80 garchomp and it still got 1 shot then.... I was livid when that happened!

Make no mistake, everyone loves Cynthia.
Luxray is doing more damage with the electric type moves than Gengar because luxray is an electric type and has STAB

meanwhile endless opportunities to set up Calm Mind were ignored.
“Ok ok this has to be the one, he’s got a ton of healing stuff, full team, and he’s down to the garchomp”

@vlogergames it's not a shitty final boss because the items makes everything for it to be impossible for u to lose
Items are boring and make you literally invincible.

They needed to keep her difficult, so she has perfect IVs, EVs, and Held items on all her pokemon to compensate for the fairy type
I thought it would be easy like previous games but I was so wrong I had to use a glitch to skip her 💀
Huh? There is a glitch to skip her? I just used x atk items and did fine (losing 2 mons)
