Cynthia is so scary because a lot of her pokemon has the potential to completely destroy your team if you didn't come prepared. Great first try Roamer!!
The reason why Cynthia's Milotic has the burn status is because not only it protects itself from other status ailment, it has the ability Marvel Scale which allows it to boost her Physical Defense by 50% when hit by a status ailment. And also, Mirror Coat is a Special Counter move that when hit by Special attacks it hits it back with double the damage it recieved. Her Milotic is one of the most powerful tank and DPS pokemon ever.
Cynthia's entire team in BDSP is stacked. And this is even the easier version of the team, without Togekiss and Porygon-Z instead of Roserade and Gastrodon.
@@DopeioThePhoneBoi Flame orb does nothing to empower Milotic offensively, it merely turns Milotic's passable physical defense into a pretty good one, giving Milotic incredible defensive stats overall.
As a self proclaimed ghost-type geek, I’m gonna list off some neat facts about Spiritomb! Spiritomb is heavily based on the concept of conquering 108 temptations in Buddhism to reach Nirvana. Their original Pokédex entry was number 108, both their base defense and special defense stats are 108, and they weigh exactly 108 kilograms! Not only that, but their Pokédex entry states that Spiritomb is actually made up of 108 different souls that have been bound to that stone it’s connected to, called the “odd keystone”!
@@Roamerplays i beat her first try, only because my pokemon were Lv65-68 and i scraped by on a complete stroke of luck. All my pokemon were down (except Palkia) and Garchomp was at full hp. I used Dragon Claw (not expecting much) and it used Swords Dance, wasting its turn. In the turn wasted i hit it with a crit and one-shotted it
@@frythefish2040 I was down to my last Pokémon Garchomp against hers and so I took a risk. She dragon clawed and I used outrage and I was left with little bit Of hp due to her rough skin
I adore that the elite Four is this hard. At the same time I understand that it's too much especially for children who've never played a Pokémon game before. Still, the fact that *Aaron*, the first and Bug type specialist, manages to be a hindrance, was an amazing experience for me.
Cynthia is VERY TRICKY to defeat. her garchomp is infamous for being one of the hardest pokémon in the franchise to beat! also, Cynthia's theme is my favorite theme in the game! it is SO fitting for her, i love it!
Cynthia uses Gastrodon simply to slow all of your pokemon with Rock Tomb so that you are for sure slower than her already fast Garchomp. Then its sweep city haha
Cynthia has one of the most balanced and powerful teams you will ever see, no matter what game you see her in. Especially if you’re going blind. She’s one of the nicest characters in the series, but she has a reputation for being the greatest demon to ever exist. Irony for you.
Fun Fact: Being a Ghost and Dark type Pokemon, Spiritomb had NO type weaknesses at all. I believe it was the only Pokemon with no weakness. Then Fairy type moves came and ruined that for it, so no longer is Spiritomb unique in that respect. xD
@@XanderWhatever I forgot about Sableye. I haven't seen that one since back when I played Emerald years ago, although I may have seen it in one of the recent games and don't remember.
I am not surprised at all in this outcome 🤣 great first try tho you nearly defeated all of them :) One of the facts that impress me the most is how buffed up they made her Milotic. First of al; it’s holding a FLAME ORB, an item that burns the user. While that may seem detrimental, it actually makes Milotic INSANELY BULKY. That’s because of it’s ability Marvel Scale, which increases the users DEFENSE BY 50% if it has a status (poison, burn, etc) it also helps that burn affects ATTACK, not SPECIAL ATTACK, which Milotic is the later. the other thing they changed is that instead of Aqua Ring, it now has the INCREDIBLY SUPERIOR Recover. So basically, Milotic became an INSANELY hard Pokémon to beat unless you have a physical electric type (a special attacker will prob go down with Mirror Coat, the equivalent of a special Counter. Grass types are also a no go due to Ice Beam)
aww DAMN!!!! You were so close....I was cheerleading you the whole time 😄 haha. I wanted to see that win because of all the blood and sweat you did. Especially since its blind...you did so well sweetie. Seriously great job!
When I was challenging Cynthia I was in the same ruckus as you and I could not get past her gastronon, milotic and roserade I kept having to chip away at the Pokemon using revives and potions and the like. When her Garchomp came out, my Garchomp held out on 1 HP and killed it. It took me TWO HOURS to beat this EVIL, DEVILISH WOMAN WHO EVERYONE SIMPS! 😂😫
I beat her on a recent playthrough with probably the most unusual team ever used in Sinnoh Torterra Chatot Pachirisu Gastrodon (East Sea) Skuntank Bronzong
Also, Gastrodon's Storm Drain ability activates every time it is hit by a water type and it boosts its Special Attack so no offense you're kinda stupid using Hydro Pump at it.

Plus the fact that she's holding flame orb means her moves are boosted.

Fun fact
108 is related to mantra and chanting in both Buddhism and Hinduism
"Molly used discharge"
"It doesnt affect Garchomp"

Too hard. E4 members should not have competitive sets

Oof, the Garchomp sweep. You hate to see it. But at the same time, I love Cynthia so you love to see it!
Cynthia... the champion we fear and love at the same time
Replacing Spark with Discharge was maybe not the best move, seeing as Luxray's physical attack is usually a good bit higher than its special attack.
After reading I did the same thing for it's power value. I better mee the man that can reset my Luxray.
