You're too kind. I'm glad you're excited for the season--I'm still in the process of researchign and writing, but I think it's the best yet, too. And thank you for praising my team as well. Ken made this video, so you have him to thank for that.
Yeah, when I listened back to the edited version of this episode, I thought, "I feel comfortable calling this a knowledge bomb." So glad you like what you've seen. And if you can, spread the word!
Good question! It may have something to do with when the NYC branch of Tussaud's was built, in 2000. By that time, Chambers of Horrors were not as “hot” as they had been in the nineteenth or early twentieth centuries. The most famous NYC Chamber of Horrors that I know about was located in the basement of a wax museum / puppet theater / early cinema called “The Eden Musée”, which was located on West 23rd St. At the turn of the twentieth century, it was touted as “The American Tussaud’s." It closed its doors in 1915, and some of its wax criminal collection went to Coney Island. The fate of the rest of it is unknown. The Museum of the City of New York has some great images of the Eden in its prime. Here’s a link to some of their digitized photos of the place: collections.mcny.org/Collection/-Eden-Musee---2F3XC58G7J9M.html
Bravo!!!
Great video
Gavin, you (and your team) are a wonder.
This new series promises to be your best yet!

Absolutely fantastic. Jam packed with information. 😊
Thank you!
Echoing other comments: Superb job. It was so packed with information that I’m rewatching parts of it and taking notes! 🙂
Thanks so much! Yeah, a ton of research went into this entire season. I hope you're as pleased with forthcoming episodes.
Excellent. I learned so much about so many different topics, in under an hour. Keep at it and you'll eventually have a massive audience!

Fantastic. This is the best video so far and an inspired idea for the whole season.
Thanks a bunch! I hope you like forthcoming videos as much as you liked this one.
I wonder why the NYC Madam Tussaud's doesn't have its own "Chamber Of Horrors"
