Not all gems were colonized , most were gifts and other were bought by the reigning monarch

No mention of the Brazilian aquamarines?? That gift was so appreciated by the Queen that she had matching pieces made, and this documentary skipped them??

He stopped at Afghans....reality is that kohinoor came back to India under Sikh empire...after the death of Maharaja Ranjeet Singh, british detained his son Duleep Singh...converted him into Christianity..barred him from meeting his mother for 13 yrs..and stole kohinoor from that child.

The Kohinoor diamond is another jewel of the British Crown tainted with blood. It was a heart breaking scene when I saw a painting of the skinny young 11 year old boy surrendering by force his only precious possession the Kohinoor diamond to British authorities. . He died in UK almost penniless.

I would love to have a tiara or any of those jewelry that the queen had! I wouldn't care which one that I would like to have and to wear, because they are all so beautiful, gorgeous and expensive! But I would have to be a royal and I would never get to be one but I could just dream of having one!👑

Queen Mary's mother was NOT the Duchess of Cambridge, she was the Duchess of Teck and daughter of Prince Adolphus, Duke of Cambridge.

She loaned the lotus flower tiara from the Queen. She loaned it to her new daughter in law with the Queen’s permission. The lotus flower tiara is property of the Queen/King.

Tone deaf? They’re historical pieces. This is a channel dedicated to history lol.
It’s possibly tone deaf if you believe something like this shouldn’t ever be discussed solely because there are other more important things going on in the world, but again, this is history after all. Not all videos about history _has_ to be about devastation, death, great achievements, struggles, war, etc. … more often than not, a lot of it is rather mundane - just like this topic, but it’s a history related topic nonetheless discussing pieces that do have historical value to them considering their relation to the royal family dating back several centuries.
I find it rather interesting considering these are pieces I’ll never own, touch, or see in person, but it’s still pretty neat to learn about. Is it information I can use in my daily life? No, but the majority of videos on RUclips would fit that bill.
Some people like learning about pretentious shit that’s useless to the common pleb. You’re not forced to watch it lol.

I desperately missed the great jewelry at the coronation of King Charles. I really did not understand seeing Princess Catherine in the headpiece she wore. She was beautiful, but the effect was honestly less splendid and felt less significant. To me, the most wonderful thing of the coronation was the tolling of the bells! I was extremely disappointed in the way that Harry acted. I’d never thought of him as a party pooper before. Thanks for showing all this gorgeous jewelry! Very uplifting! Very beautiful! ❤️❤️❤️

    • @KimMillar-k5k

Queen Camilla demanded no other tiaras be worn by anyone! While Catherine and Charlotte did not have jewels in their crowns, it is a part of the royal jewelry. The same reason Princess Anne wore her full military uniform leading the troops in her rightful place.
Princess Anne nor Prime William have made it quite clear that they will never bowel to Camilla. I don't know about all of the others.

The St. Edwards Crown is 5 pounds, and the diamond it is not a gift to the nation at all. It's not the same crown at all the new. They are all personal piaces of monarch, when a monarch sits on the throne, they inherit the crowns and many other other things and the cullinan dimond four is worth £50 million.

  • @pattisonpattison3639

With their now being a new Monarch King Charles III, some previous protocols will come into place. As a result we may see old pieces of the Royal Collection, reinvented.
If it rather sad that the Californian born Cult of woke, had a negative impact on King Charles III, & Queen Camilla’s Coronation.
