I was young when I saw the St. Louis one. I was completely wowed and told myself someday I would travel to work for her. Life happened. Now I am too old to visit so I am very grateful that you did this. My advice to people is never put off your dreams.
First went to MT’s as a child of 10 in 1974. An experience that I have never forgotten. Henry VIII with his 6 wives, historical figures galore, memorable Hollywood movie stars, a full & impressive tableaux of Nelson & the famous sea battle complete with smoking cannon & the smell of gun powder. the chamber of horrors was incredible. The tableaux’s in the chamber of horrors blew my mind! A visit 2 years ago was extremely disappointing- all corridors, posters, sound effects & figures of celebrities I didn’t know. Also, the marvel figures were for a selected audience. Plus the chamber of horrors was closed & no warning given. The National Gallery is more exciting & it’s FREE!
Loved how they had the wax figures out so the public can take pictures. They need a wax figure of you walking with the visitors holding your gear and stuff just like you are filming a live...that would be so 2023. ❤
I'll be honest I wasn't going to watch the wax museum video Even though I'm sure I know who the man that sculpted these 1950s he was world famous he was on what's My line 1959+- But I'm here for the history challenge you said you didn't know who some of the people were and they should put name tags so I must take that challenge 🫵
Thank you for the tour. It must be over 50 years since I went there and memory tells me it only featured standing figures back then. Times change. I believe the theatre where you couldn't film used to be the Planetarium and they've combined the two buildings.
Action Kid! Thanks so much for taking us along with your visit to Madame Trousaud's. That little car ride illustrating London history was especially impressive. They out "Disneyed" themselves! 😆
I visited this exact museum 50 years ago during a college field trip. So much has changed, but in my opinion, ANY Madame Tussaud’s is the VERY best and realistic wax museum hands down!!
Hi there. When I was a kid growing up in London there used to also be the London Planetarium in the same building (hence the green domed roof with the golden planet on top of it).
That was so impressive - thank you so much for taking us along. I went years ago to the one in LA, or maybe it was Las Vegas - anyway, not nearly as big or impressive - although all the wax figures really looked authentic. This one - wow - so fun. Was surprised to see all the steps to go up / down.
Utterly amazing! It must be 50 years since I last visited that exhibition, and all I remember is that it was just a good waxworks museum. But now it's a massive theme park! 😮😛. Those figures are so realistic. I felt a shiver each time one seemed to look directly at 'me'!!
I've been to the Madame Tussauds in Hollywood, so it's a treat to see the original location in London! 🤩 The wax figures are so life-like, and it's quite overwhelming to see all the sections. The taxi ride was so cool, and it felt like you were in an amusement park in that area!🚕 Thank you for sharing this enjoyable tour through Madame Tussauds, AK! 🤗
As someone with a mobility impairment I find it soul crushing how inaccessible this entire building appears with the constant reliance on stairs to get from floor to floor. 😮💨
I did go to MTs in the early 90s and have photos, but I cannot remember any of it. It's a complete blank though I vaguely remember the cab ride and seeing old London. It must have changed a lot!
Masame Tussaud’s museum looks great and those wax figurines are incredible realistics 😎I’m impressed 🙂Thank you for sharing this enjoyable experience A K🙂👍!!!
I was there in 07.2011. The main difference is the number of visitors. Then, there were hordes of tourists while today, it's an almost empty place. Thank you for your great trip report. BTW. Osmo Pocket 3 works excellently indoors.
Tussaud's featured public figures such as actors, politicians and the like when I visited in late 1982. After standing in line outside, the trip through didn't take long, and I was underwhelmed. There were no elaborate sets. There were no fictional characters, as I recall, and the figures were grouped according to their profession or activity. Some of the faces did not match their photos very well, and the complexions were all waxy-looking, so that leathery old politicians and Hollywood ingenues had the same skin texture. Today, I wonder how all the displays were shoe-horned into the space and how folks would escape if the place were on fire.
I noticed someone commented that there should be name plaques next to them - there were (like London’s blue plaques on buildings), it’s just that the filming didn’t pick them out.
Sings telling you who the people are supposed to be would be nice. particularly with what seems to be British celebrities. So far the only one I recognized was the formerly named The Rock and I can never remember his new real or real stage name.
"What an absolutely fascinating journey through the original Madame Tussauds Wax Museum in London! 🕵♂✨ Your exploration captured the incredible artistry behind these lifelike wax figures. It's like getting up close and personal with history and pop culture icons.
Such a pretty place! I'm going to go to London in a few months and I wanted to know how is it. I heard that there was a waxwork of One Direction, but ut was removed for a while. Is it already there? I would like to know, because I'm a big fan. If not I will enjoy the waxwork of Harry Styles, but it would be really nice
Hello AK. I have a question ❓⁉️. Whichof the both cities -LOndon , or New York is more interesting for you ? Like atmosphere, people , social system (if you made your research on tat too), laws ...?? One time asked an English lady ,she told me for her, New York is "boring" , compared to London. I never been to U.S.A. ,can not have some issues . I am curious. Thank you . (Maybe you can move to U.K. ine day 🙃) all the Best 👍
Interesting video but why did you not go through the Chamber of Horrors properly? I saw people go through 'The Blind Beggar' pub and there are supposed to be wax works of The Krays, Jack the Ripper etc.
Where are the name plaques at. Some of these I didn’t know. For being the original one they should have the name plaques. They have them for their other locations why not this location.
At 73 , I don`t recognise most people, it`s all cheap graphics and screens. Good photo `ops for the children. The ones I would love to see were not good likenesses,ie- George Harrison, Jimi Hendrix, Hans Solo, but my old school mate was there in the `007' hall, Tim Dalton, and I think he had the best likeness of that group.
It should be remembered that London doesn’t have a “downtown” as London is made up of lots of cities, towns, villages and even hamlets, some of which have existed since Roman times or since the Anglo-Saxon kingdoms that predate the creation of the Kingdom of England in 927 and over the centuries have been incorporated legally, politically and geographically into London from their original surrounding counties as the boundaries of London have been moved further out from the original walled City of London of around 350 acres. Therefore each of them has a High Street (Main Street) at its centre from which spread out its own suburbs. Therefore since the last Act of Parliament come into force on 1st April 1965, London has consisted of the City of London (1.12 square miles) and the 32 London Boroughs (some 606 square miles) that make up London. Therefore London is about twice the size of New York City’s 5 boroughs but both have a similar population, which makes NYC have a higher population density. The town in south-east London were I was born was, before 1st April 1965, a part of the county of Kent and before 927 was a part of the Anglo-Saxon Kingdom of Kent. However from 1st April 1965 it became the capital town of the London Borough of Bromley, London’s largest borough at some 59 square miles. Most of the borough still feels like part of Kent as it had mostly villages and some hamlets plus lots of farmland and common land (most if its commons are owned and maintained by Bromley London Borough Council, but one of them is owned and maintained by the Corporation of the City of London, despite being some 12 miles from London Bridge).
OMG MY JAW DROPPED AT THE HARRY STYLES POSTER AT THE FRONT OF THE BUILDING, sorry I ADORE Harry and I'm his very first fan he ever has in 2008 when he started his high school band White Eskimo. I want to meet him so badly; I am sad that the One Direction wax figures were removed in 2022
I was young when I saw the St. Louis one. I was completely wowed and told myself someday I would travel to work for her. Life happened. Now I am too old to visit so I am very grateful that you did this. My advice to people is never put off your dreams.
That’s some excellent advice

Thats a great idea👍
Where else would they have the wax figures? Locked in a basement?
The should put name plaques by them, I don't recognise some of them!
They do but he goes by so fast you can't read them. He should have slowed down by each one a little or said their names as he walked by.
Not all of them have name plaques - its mostly a guessing game LOL
I'll be honest I wasn't going to watch the wax museum video Even though I'm sure I know who the man that sculpted these 1950s he was world famous he was on what's My line 1959+-

Our man in London, good job. Great video to share with friends !
Thank you for the tour. It must be over 50 years since I went there and memory tells me it only featured standing figures back then. Times change. I believe the theatre where you couldn't film used to be the Planetarium and they've combined the two buildings.
The planitarium was always part of Madame Tussauds - Went there 52 years ago with my school - Very different back then
Thought they could have the names next to the waxworks, I didn't know most of them!
Lots of really cool decorated hallways, stairwells, lots of decor. I was hoping there would be more statues. what is there is great.
They used to have hunmdreds in the old days - now it is just mostly blank walls
Excellent. Been several times and its fantastic
Glad you enjoy it! It’s an amazing museum for sure
Action Kid! Thanks so much for taking us along with your visit to Madame Trousaud's. That little car ride illustrating London history was especially impressive. They out "Disneyed" themselves! 😆
I really enjoyed the entire tour of Madame Tussauds
Thanks Action Kid 🎬 👋👍
No problem 👍
Interesting. I'll never be able to go as I can't walk this much or climb stairs
Loved The Beatles crossing Abbey Rd ! 🐼
They were amazing!
They have the '64 era ones theretoo.Didnt see those in the video. They are on the Pepper cover, though.
Wow this was fabulous , thank you so much , I also saw the one in NYC and this one seems more amazing 😊
visited it in 1996 would love to visit London again
I visited this exact museum 50 years ago during a college field trip. So much has changed, but in my opinion, ANY Madame Tussaud’s is the VERY best and realistic wax museum hands down!!
I visited about 40 years ago… I think the only thing I remember was the Guy Fawkes diorama
I got to see it in 86 while visiting my brother (military) i still have a thousand pictures from it.
I've been a few times over the years and it has gone down hill every time I visited - Not worth the money for 40 minutes
You can't tell who they represent
I am surprised that there’s a whole lot to see! It’s worth visiting! Thank you for sharing AK ! Good Job
You’re welcome! I was surprised how interactive the wax museum really was
Thank you Action kid ❤️
Glad you enjoyed the experience.👍🏽
It appears to have a lot of empty space to walk through.
Thanks for sharing.
Amazing museum i visited 3times they changed a lot of things
My brother is a sculptor at Madame Tussauds,he's done many of the figures shown in this video.
His latest I can recall was Alison Hammond.
I was in London in 2013 and visited Madame Tussauds. Thanks for the video. ❤
Hi there. When I was a kid growing up in London there used to also be the London Planetarium in the same building (hence the green domed roof with the golden planet on top of it).
The planetarium was awesome.
Thank you so much!!❤❤
Absolutely lovely staging and set designs. I want to go

Thank you for sharing. My favourite was the black cab mourney

20:02 first one got shot Upper West Side NYC.
W 72nd St - 8th Ave, if I remember correctly.
Wonderful video, really enjoyed it - many thanks!!

Londýně Muzeum je překrásné ty figuríny jsou jako živé to jsem nikdy neviděla je to krásné ❤❤❤
As someone with a mobility impairment I find it soul crushing how inaccessible this entire building appears with the constant reliance on stairs to get from floor to floor. 😮💨
Thanks AK!

As a long term James Bond fan. I'm Liking the thumbnail to this video.
Sean Connery looks different. His eyes and mouth are off.

The Cockney Museum, it's worth a visit. A Charles Dickens epoch as well. 🤗🤗🇬🇧
Sounds awesome
I did go to MTs in the early 90s and have photos, but I cannot remember any of it. It's a complete blank though I vaguely remember the cab ride and seeing old London. It must have changed a lot!

Hello from Chicago
Classic stairway
The cinema was originally the Planetarium . Closed 2010 .
I went there yesterday and did the sky walk on the spurs stadium aswell
It seems like a disappointment and waste of money; a thousand walls, and a handful of wax figures.
Cant figure out who most of the figures are but i enjoyed the tour. Thanks AK
Get to it!
Great stuff AK. It's changed since I was there in the early 80's 😃
nice

In dem Museum fehlt noch eine Figur von Jürgen Klopp!
Maravilhoso
There is also one in Sydney.

hollywood wx musium in tennessee was fantastic, i do not know who lot of these people are
i visited in 1978, it looks much different now
Why is there an advert literally every 4 minutes...
was hoping that the person filming this would give us some,if not all the names. Kind of showed the guy in green. Have no idea who it was.
Must admit l thought it was about the great and the good seems more like a fun fair ride now but l guess times change Shaun connery as 007 oops.
Fun
❤❤❤
very nice vedio
Interesting video but why did you not go through the Chamber of Horrors properly? I saw people go through 'The Blind Beggar' pub and there are supposed to be wax works of The Krays, Jack the Ripper etc.
Happy Thanksgiving day Action Kid. ❤
It’s my birthday 🎁
Happy birthday🎉🎂
Happy bday 🎂 🥳 🎉 🎈 🎁 🎊 🎂 🥳 🎉 🎈 🎁 🎊 🎂 🥳 🎉
Thanks for this. Now I don't have to waste a shitload of money
most people we know but why isnt there a name plate near them
Where are the name plaques at. Some of these I didn’t know. For being the original one they should have the name plaques. They have them for their other locations why not this location.
Some of these are so good!… But then there’s The Rock… 🤨😅🤣
Which city in London?
The hunger games Katness was very poor.
For a second there I thought Jeremy corbyn joined the beatles
When I was there, seems I remember it being more historic; less entertainment

Is there a book on how many waxs persons she made
You don’t see many statues mostly walk around.

Love the haunted mansion ride
