- I had the pleasure to watch Bohemian Rhapsody re-defined by a Norwegian angel, Angelina Jordan. Queen's version has been one of my top favorite songs of all time. Well, their song just dipped down a rank and Angelina has taken that top-spot!

Thank you for your reaction. You haven't even touch on Angelina's music abilities. Angelina is a story teller and draws you in with your hart and soul. Every word she gave new meaning and know the real emotion that is suppose to express. Listen to the different genres she can sing. Listen to her Adele and many other famous singers covers that are most of the time better than the original. Listen to her cover of " Its a man's world" ,The show must go on", " Stay" , "Born to die " etc. No other singer can sings with such a lot of emotion and touch the listener.
What is amazing about this performance is not only her incredible vocals but the arrangement of the song that takes you from soft to high and back again seamlessly.
Angelina is a benign balm for our ears and our soul. Who couldn’t love this girl?

This is the most complimentary and appreciative reaction of this cover I've ever witnessed. To see you say that Bohemian Rhapsody is one of your top 3 all time, and then see you brought to tears by this 13-year old siren, and reluctantly admit that you prefer HER version better...wow! The Barefoot Princess has struck again! Not only did she garner high praise from the AGT judges including Heidi Klum giving her a golden buzzer but she received the greatest compliment from Queen. They went on their official twitter account and said " Wow what a rendition" and even gave her permission to copywrite her version of the song! Only Angelina could garner such praise.
It's like Angelina channeled Freddie Mercury, who from heaven wanted to remind the world how much he loved performing for the world. Brings one to tears.

You mentioned her outfit....Angelina helped sew it together with cloth printed from one of Grandma's paintings. Grandma, Mery Zamani, a well known artist and poet, was also a child prodigy from Iran.

Can you see a 13-yo girl coming to a mike & starting "Mama, just killed a man...". It would sound phony & unreal. I don't think the audience would appreciate that, either. So honestly, Angelina's choice was perfect. She avoided all the dramatic intro of the song by starting a capella, which was haunting somehow. This performance is world class by any standard.

Your emotional reaction to Angelina’s covering this song is what every one of us, her devoted fans, felt when we heard her perform this cover for the first time. Aurora is a very talented singer, but Angelina is absolutely unique amongst the sea of young vocalists. She has a very diverse vocal capabilities, in that, Angelina can sing different genres. However, rhythm and blues and jazz is her forte’. Angelina travels in her own lane and she is fast becoming a living legend.

Regarding your recent reaction to Bohemian Rhapsody Did you notice during her performance they highlighted audience members in the front row. That is Angelina's Family. From left to right Her uncle and manager Michael Astar, her little sister Juliet, her mother and her grandmother. Notice her little sister crossing her fingers as the performance starts and later her mother wipe tears from her eyes.
Also remember she said she had waited 10 years to sing for Simon. When she was 3 years old she was begging her mother to go on 'that Simon show'

On the one hand, I know what you mean about wanting a 'whole version' of this. On the other hand, having chosen only the poignant parts of the song is what gives her version the emotional power that it has. Queen liked it so much they posted about it and gave her permission to record her version of it which she did (It's on iTunes). Shield, Oslo, Seventh Heaven, Million Miles...are a few of AJ's original songs. She is not just a 'child singer'. but a top notch musician, songwriter and an amazing artist.

Introduced to Jazz by her Grandmother probably while still in the womb.
1. First recorded singing at eighteen months of age.
2..At two going on three is scrolling through RUclips looking for Jazz artists to listen to.

Must be something in the Norwegian water. Aurora (25) is 10 years older than Angelina (15). But I believe (not sure) that Angelina has many more performances in her song library (>140). Most are covers, but she has 7 originals, 5 of which she composed. So if you're going down the Angelina rabbit hole, know that it's a long journey to hear them all. There aren't any bad performances, and while all are good, some are ridiculously Fantastic. So you can't go wrong with any performance you select, and it doesn't matter what her age is, because she's been incredibly good since she was very young (5 or 6 yo). When she was 12, she received a super Neumann microphone for her birthday. Shortly after she came to the USA and recorded several songs with Ivan Mendez on the acoustic guitar. They remain 3 of my all time favorites by her. I'll list them below with the links for each:

I have watched this video too many times to count at this point!! She does something crazy to people. She has the ability to reach u to the depth of your heart and soul!! U never ever tire of this performance or any other of her many covers and her original work as well. She puts a smile on my face and makes my ears and heart just feel happy! She is destined for greatness .and her dream isn't to make $ its to sing for the whole world and heal people through her music and she has already. She has tested herself across her entire musical education by taking on iconic singers and iconic pieces (as here) and often exceeding the original. She does it again and again. Stay on the Angelina journey, you won't be sorry!
What Angelina does with Bohemian Rhapsody is something you’ll see in many other performances. She gives us her own arrangement of an iconic song, but doesn’t compete with the original. Simon made sure she came in 6th. It was the nicest thing. That made her a free agent and Republic Records jumped on it. Thank you Simon.
My understanding is that she was always a free agent before she went on season 2. Manager uncle Michael would not commit to the show because of the contact. For season 2 the show allowed her to perform without being commited to sign with Simon if she won. That's why she finished out of the top 5. Imagine if she won and wouldn't sign. They already had turned down Disney, among others. Republic already wanted her along with everyone else. You don't go unnoticed singing for President Obama, the United Nations, Quincy Jones 85th birthday, while raising millions for children's charities. She is truely unique and blessed.

@@wajj1842 well do more reading, specifically the interview with her manager and uncle who declined to appear on season one. He negotiated and they agreed it would both help the show and also help Angelina's North American exposure for her to perform on season 2 of The Champions. That is facts.
Of course it's speculation that the show preferred if Angelina did not advance. Look at the acts that finished ahead of her. She won the golden buzzer and somehow isn't in the top 5? Common sense tells you she was a top 5 act. Obviously there is no proof that they didn't want her through.
Angelina wanted to impress Simon and got the highest praise from the legendary Queen. Queen are enthusiastic about Angelina's arrangement. Queen shared Angelina's performance on their official Twitter account with the words "WOW, what a rendition". 👏👏👏💯 *AJ* 💯👏👏👏
The day after this show aired, Queen posted it on their Twitter account saying: "Wow, what a rendition!" I agree that someday she should do the whole song (unfortunately, AGT only gives performers about 2-1/2 minutes).

Fully agree - Aurora is unique in the way she expresses music, pretty much untouchable (puts a spell on me every time...). Angelina is 10 years younger, and is more jazzy in her renditions, but certainly the voice of her generation.
There is a 4 song compilation of the songs she sang on Norway's Got Talent. Her age is 7/8. Talk about jazzy, first time performing on a srage she does Gloomy Sunday by Billie Holiday to qualify. Second song is Billie Holidays I'm A Fool For Loving You which she sang Acapella . Third was Nancy Sinatras Bang Bang. Finishing up with Summertime. Then it shows her winning. Not a nervous moment. Good way to see her start and then watch her grow. It's
10 1/2 minutes of sheer talent.
While I agree that her NGT performances should be watched, I’d prefer the individual songs with English subtitles to get the full experience.

When her record label (Republic Records) , family and herself want it, they can just push the button. Many people forget that she is only 15 years old today because she is so mature for her age. No need to hurry, I'm sure Angelina has good people around her. I think everyone on her team including the record company (Republic Records), slows down a bit with marketing her. She is so good anyway, so she can not be ignored. She delivers music that lasts, and not music that lasts for a few weeks as plastic hit. Angelina has over 650 Million Views on RUclips 👍👍😊😊

Thank you for having the stones to say you like Angelina Jordan's version of Bohemian Rhapsody better than the original. The original was a very fun anthem for my generation. My buds and I would sing it and rock out to it constantly. And, even with those fond memories, Angelina Jordan made it her own. I'm not even certain Queen's version and hers should be considered the same song. Oh, btw, I cried the first time I heard this performance and it gets to me every time I've heard it since. As I've noted in other reaction videos, my prayer is that Angelina Jordan will continue to receive her due after the novelty of her youth wears off.

Heidi gave her the golden buzzer .. AGT cut it out of this public video. No she never did Bohemian Rhapsody full cover .. it wasn't the point for this particular thing she was doing. She never said to anyone what she was going to sing but she knew it would be recognized and that it is hugely popular and I bet she was happy with her arrangement so she could audition with it. PHENOMENAL. Her family and Angelina decided not to sign the contract that they ask you to sign when you're going to the finals that says that you would sign with one of Simon's recording companies. Simon agreed to have her continue in the show, however (he is no fool) but they didn't make it public why and only said that she didn't get the votes. You saw that audience .. and they're the same if not better when she does Goodbye Yellow Brick Road. No way the audience around the country would not vote for her and HUGELY. When you hear Yellow Brick Road note the words and how it connects to not signing the contract and going back to the farm and off the yellow brick road. Perfect. The family and Angelina never mentioned anything about AGT in an interview or anywhere since, as far as I know. THey are a class act and super supporters of their Angelina. Please do watch Yellow Brick Road .. there are days I like that one best.

Hi, Chris, as you mentioned her outfit.... it is literally the story of her life, painted by her grandmother Mery Zamany. They transferred that on a wearble cloth designed her clothing and Angelina sewed it herself. In Summer she wore it in when performing at a festival in Norway. It was during her school holidays in summer.
Here is a little fictious story about her version of Bohemian Rapsodie. AJ is sleeping. In her dream she walks through LA and enters a jazzclub. Freddie is sitting at the piano. Sweety, he says, your thinking about AGT, how about singing Bohemian Rapsodie? Angelina stares and answers, its a big song and I dont have the time. Shorten it, Freddie says. A AfroAmerican woman turns around and smiles at her ,saying, but make it a tiny bit jazzy. Agape she turns to the grinning Freddy. Listen to your idol Billie Holliday, he says, shorten it, change it, however you want, but please dont make it boring. Unsure AJ asks, wich part should I use? The quintessential of the song, Freddy says, and begins to play the piano...... You and yours stay safe and sound

Larry, goosebumps, tearing up and the inability to string words together to speak during or right after her performance is something millions of us around the world have experienced.
She is now in our hearts and she will never leave us. And, as you are finding out, her persona is equally as beautiful as her artistry.
Larry, you will be hearing from someone in Angelina's camp about giving her credit on your channel so that people can listen to her on her channel. It's a very fair request and, I, an Angelina 'Angel', think it's something nice for you to do.
And, I almost forgot, great reaction and, yes, there is definitely something going on in Norway. Aurora is a wonderful, expressive singer and her original songs have very pointed messages and she is very special. Angelina, as you might know by now, has still not been officially marketed to the world (family decision) and, soon, when that day arrives, hold onto to your hat! What separates her from 'the rest' is the uniqueness of her voice, her tones and her soulfulness which always shines through. After she gets done rearranging 'covers' (btw since she was 9 years old!) many of us have regarded her new arrangement of a classic song from yesteryear as better to listen to than the original. Just like the AGT performance, the songs are limited to 90 seconds. So to watch all 4, worth the time. In all the years i have listened to this song, never till i first heard this cover by Angelina Jordan did this song ever bring a tear to my eye's she makes you feel every word deep in your heart.

Go On) by Freddie Mercury When she was 12 years old in 2019 I believe you should take a look at that one. There is no great audience in front of her except her RUclips audience, and she is sitting down, but brother does she kill it, such power in her voice. If you like Queen should watch it.

This was the first video i reacted for Angelina Jordan and now i became a super fan coz she is amazing!!
This performance was my introduction to Angelina about 6 months ago. It caused me to go on a deep dive dive that still hasn't ended. I went from this back to the beginning and started watching her earlier stuff trying to do it chronologically, but anyway you attack it you're not going to be disappointed. I suggest Feeling Good, the live version where she's indoors . The outdoor version is good too, but like I said before you're not going to find anything that's bad. Have fun.

If someone can write and perform an amazing song and get a great hit then that is an achievement. If then someone comes along and can do the same song but in there own way and get a hit out of it well that says a lot about the original. It takes an artist to paint a picture but it takes a genius to see it's true value.

I agree. Aurora has multiple talents that are incredibly unique: Huge top end, excellent writing skills, unusual topics that she addresses, unbelievable sense of feeling every word, ability to produce versions of each song, incomparable ability to take a song into a small radio studio and make it better than the recording studio.
But, Angelina has a wider range of vocalizations, and she is champion in her narrower jazz lane. I particularly like this song because here she isn't trying to sound like Summers or Adele or Winehouse, but seems to have found Angelina Jordan. Soon as she figures that out (god, she's young), it's going to be lights out. Right now she is still testing out influences, and that's nice but not the goal.
