A couple of people have mentioned the ADVICE phrasing she does. Nobody has talked about her Hummmm when the very last switch to the red room appears. I really like that and nobody’s done that in many years. Thank you again for working young Angelina in with that old lady Aurora that you like so much (I’m joking, she is another great one from Norway. Along with Sissel). One song I highly recommend is Feeling Good at age 10. Several versions available but most popular is the one on a tv concert live with a fantastic string and brass backing. Or just toss a dart at her play list and enjoy.

Now I have the feeling that you have swallowed that bait you were nibbling on earlier😉 If jazz is one of your favorite genres, I have to say you're in for a treat with Angelina. Jazz is her genre, and you will be blown away time and time again, just you wait. Since you're kinda new to her, my next statement will maybe sound a bit much, but it IS my opinion. There is no one like her right now. And there has never been anyone like her before. I truly stand by that. I'm really eager to see you discover her for real. Anywho........... You know that Adele released a single form her new album yesterday ofc. And I'm not here to discuss the ethics of it, BUT within a few hours after release, Angelina covered the song on her TikTok, and if you ask ME, she blew it right out of the water. Angelina has covered quite a few of Adele's songs before, as she has stated that Adele is one of her greatest idols. What these covers have in common, is that I think they are ALL better than the original, at least when it comes to the way she emotes the songs, but also vocally. And that speaks volumes, as Angelina was 11-13 years old when she did most of them. An exception is her cover of "All I Ask", which she covered at the age of 14. One of RUclips's biggest Angelina fans, Rusty Shackleford, (he never monetizes his videos by the way) has done the hard work for us and put Angelina's latest Adele cover on his page. To get a feel for what Angelina is capable as of right now, I think this would be a great next step for you, before maybe diving back to her earliest stuff, when all of her greatest jazz performances were made. Angelina sings at an event called "Sing Along at the Border" and it is held In Halden, Norway at the site of an ancient fortress very close to the Swedish border. Many international and local artists are invited to perform The attendees are given the lyrics sheets and are encouraged to sing along. Angelina performed at this Festival many times from about 8 thru 12. Every performance from any year you will find will be one of her best performance of that song! I promise you! And for a taste here is one of my absolute favorites of all of her performance at this festival or any other and a must see! I wish she'd added a little something immediately after the line, "His eyes were like mine", to allude to the "Oh, no" that is heard at that point in the original. Singing a full "Oh, no" would have been a bit too much, I think, but she could have made _some_ kind of sound there… That would have been awesome.
Another great performance & another great reaction. I really think you need to move on to some of her originals now. As you’ve probably already heard, she has three that proceeded her signing by Republic Records, and two since then. The first three are called Oslo, What is Life and Shield. All great songs, but I really, really love her Skavlan performance of Shield. (just Google it with her name & the video will pop up.) The two with Republic are Million Miles and 7th Heaven. Million Miles has an official music video as well as a lyric video and an acoustic performance. I believe I am in the minority here, but my personal preference is the lyric video (the same recording as the lyric video). There’s barely more production/instrumentation than there is in the acoustic version and there are some effects that I really like (such as overlapping vocals that allowed her to sustain arguably the biggest note in the entire song) that can’t be done in the live version. The production definitely takes a backseat to her voice. It also includes some gorgeous and poignant animated artwork created by Angela and her grandmother. But which version you like is really a matter of personal preference. And I hope you watch all three! 7th Heaven has multiple versions as well. I really like what I believe is the official music video version featuring Angelina and a lovely young actress acting out an interpretation of the lyrics. I believe it’s her last official video released under Republic Records (other than the ones for her recent covers).
So, its been 3 weeks since Aurora brought you into the warren of new artists. First it was Aurora of course, then Angelina and then Dimash. Before watching murder song did you imagine there was music and singers out there like these? How has your life changed beyond going from zero regular videos to almost daily postings? @@larryshair I believe the person that got me watching reaction videos was Diana Ankudinova. The 1st time i heard her sing Wicked Game i didnt know what to think. My brain could not reconcile what i was hearing was authentic. It took 6 watchings of wicked game before i realized that Yes, she is generating those sounds. You will like Diana, she is much like Aurora and Angelina, completely themselves, authentic, pour every ounce of themselves into a song and capable of creating music that is unearthly. I consider singers like dimash, Aurora and Angelina 1 in a billion performers, Diana is right there with them.

I wish she'd added a little something immediately after the line, "His eyes were like mine", to allude to the "Oh, no" that is heard at that point in the original. Singing a full "Oh, no" would have been a bit too much, I think, but she could have made _some_ kind of sound there… That would have been awesome.

Another great performance & another great reaction. I really think you need to move on to some of her originals now. As you’ve probably already heard, she has three that proceeded her signing by Republic Records, and two since then. The first three are called Oslo, What is Life and Shield. All great songs, but I really, really love her Skavlan performance of Shield. (just Google it with her name & the video will pop up.)
The two with Republic are Million Miles and 7th Heaven. Million Miles has an official music video as well as a lyric video and an acoustic performance. I believe I am in the minority here, but my personal preference is the lyric video (the same recording as the lyric video). There’s barely more production/instrumentation than there is in the acoustic version and there are some effects that I really like (such as overlapping vocals that allowed her to sustain arguably the biggest note in the entire song) that can’t be done in the live version. The production definitely takes a backseat to her voice. It also includes some gorgeous and poignant animated artwork created by Angela and her grandmother. But which version you like is really a matter of personal preference. And I hope you watch all three!
7th Heaven has multiple versions as well. I really like what I believe is the official music video version featuring Angelina and a lovely young actress acting out an interpretation of the lyrics. I believe it’s her last official video released under Republic Records (other than the ones for her recent covers).

So, its been 3 weeks since Aurora brought you into the warren of new artists. First it was Aurora of course, then Angelina and then Dimash. Before watching murder song did you imagine there was music and singers out there like these? How has your life changed beyond going from zero regular videos to almost daily postings? And there are still many artists that are phenomenal out there you have not experienced yet. Lots of Rabbit holes to explore.

@@larryshair I believe the person that got me watching reaction videos was Diana Ankudinova. The 1st time i heard her sing Wicked Game i didnt know what to think. My brain could not reconcile what i was hearing was authentic. It took 6 watchings of wicked game before i realized that Yes, she is generating those sounds. You will like Diana, she is much like Aurora and Angelina, completely themselves, authentic, pour every ounce of themselves into a song and capable of creating music that is unearthly. I consider singers like dimash, Aurora and Angelina 1 in a billion performers, Diana is right there with them.
