Marianne was Norwegian, as I am. I'm entrigued by their love story. When she died, Leonard wrote that he was just small steps behind... And so he was. He died shortly after her. It was caotic, there were arguments, flower power, it was a true love story of two people that never really were lovers. Thank you so much. ❤ You won't be forgotten.

The funny thing about Cohen is, he actually knows what he's singing. He's not doing his old hits, without feeling, just spitting out the words. He's 80 and he's singing with all of his heart. Remarkable man.
Can't say I agree with you on that. His early songs are still the best in my book. I mean, 'Suzanne' has never been topped, has it? Still, I'm anxious to see what he's gonna suprise us with next time! :)

Such a shame none of these live recordings seem able to capture the incredibly rich, deep and powerful bass his voice had in these live sessions later in life. I heard him in Tampa and his voice reverberated your chest. It was the most amazing concert I've ever been to.

"Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, Love leaves a memory no one can steal." !
Spoken beautifully ❤️❤️I lost my brother who was a Lenord, fanatic, not the correct word. I hope you understand. When he came to Ireland for his first concert after many years, it was pure joy to listen to him. I saw him in his last concert 2013 in the O2. It was pure genius and so happy my brother and I could be there. Check out his "Save the last dance for me" from that concert. He was adored and loved by his Irish fans. RIP Sweet Lenord. I've been in love with his voice and style of music when I first heard it in the movie Pump Up The Volume with Christian Slater. His voice always makes me want to live some kind of beautiful tango dream in a red dress under a spotlight. His voice is like the soft trickle of warm water gently caressing my soul.

He is
Genius. Nothing more to write.
I don't care what anyone says man he has still got it !!!!!
+darling darlene snyder I agree! He NEVER lost it! And Justin Bieber gets millions of hits. Go figure...
+darling darlene snyder WHO SAID THAT! Link them to this vid... NOW
+alicia andsisters He's always had it.
+darling darlene snyder but nobody says he doesn't. every woman is fainting and flushing all over him like always.
He had to do the world tour that this is part of, because his accountant embezzled his life's savings
Such a shame none of these live recordings seem able to capture the incredibly rich, deep and powerful bass his voice had in these live sessions later in life. I heard him in Tampa and his voice reverberated your chest. It was the most amazing concert I've ever been to.
The first time I saw and heard Leonard Cohen was in 1968 and he was then and still is now my most beloved favorite
Rest in peace master, he left us a huge treasure with his music and poetry.
Hello , how're you doing, I hope you are doing fine. I'm David from Houston, Texas. Where are you from? You seems like a real Country girl 😊
(Live in Dublin - edited)
Kudos to the editor for editing out the sounds of thousands of panties dropping.

She is a fine lady mr Cohen is a master
I'm a 77 yr old grandmom who has loved him since the late 60s. He still gets this lady hummin' so to speak. He is sexy as hell IMHO!
Mary, you are correct, he is very sexy
that's sweet, I am a 58 year old man, with a rubber band body and an incurable SB-38 wound, I refuse to drop, I refuse to stop - what I want to say to you Mary and as well for Poet Dancer- beauty never fades, only our eyes fail us, the veil we allow to obscure the vision that beauty is, and that is why you are also both - sexy as hell!!!
RaVen DaWn please
Overwhelmed. Mesmerized. What a golden voice. No language to express. Simply amazing
OK. I cop to it - I've been in love with this man for years. He'd better hurry, I'm pushin 70...
Just as me, my friend ! When he started with his first song Suzanne my friends told me "That´s you ! The first time i saw him on the Isle of Wight and the last 3 times I saw him here in Stockholm - 7 times within 50 years, it´s a pleasure and I also decided that his song Suzanne shall be played at my funeral - Sincerley another fan

The world will never be the same without this legend... RIP Mr. Leonard 😔😔😔
His songs are so so full of feelings. They pierce my heart.
It's a sad day. The artist of my youth went out. But his music will remain in my heart and will remind me something what happened many years ago. RIP Leonard.
RIP Leonard and thanks for the music. I'm weeping...
Is it possible...he sounds better and better as the song goes on......simply the BEST!

Hello Joy, how're you doing, I hope you are doing fine. I'm David from Houston, Texas. Where are you from? You seems like a real Country girl 😊🌹
Mr. Cohen weaves a magical spell...sitting spellbound following every word (thought).
I just can't stop crying watching this, what a great man.
Hamed K absolutely same here. It is like there is knot in my throat which it could get removed only if I shouted "why have you left us Cohen? When so many bad people to go why you? A poet, a gentleman... to say the least. *shaking head* in disbelief
You have always touch my soul. Farewell great poetry
Playing this Song right now for one of my very best Friend's, as she is about to leave this World - this was her favourite song of Cohen's ! She is one of those few people you are so glad that entered and passed through your Life ! Thank You Mr Cohen for giving her your music that made her so happy !
I hope you and my brother are looking out the window together in the "Tower of Song" xxxx ❤️❤️🎶🎶🎶🎶
@@libbywalsh2683 So Sorry about your Brother-- Now He can have live concerts with just Himself & Leonard !
In spite of Hallelujah and Dance me to the end of love this song touches me to my deepest being. I cannot describe how this song makes me feel. I listen to it every few days. 💖
In memoriam ole mother Brigitte
@@brigittevolzmann6448 halten Sie durch! Alles gute 👍🍀
Utter perfection. There's just no words...unless Leonard has them.
a truly brilliant man but somehow he never received the accolades he deserved while he lived. We must love and treasure his memory forevermore
He did receive the accolades he deserved. He's not Esbjorn Svensson. There are a million talented musicians who dont get any credit, so lets just steady the boat here. That doesnt take away from him being an excellent songwriter and lyricist.
Dear Leonard.. I will Love and Miss you Always xx
Oh I felt this in my heart as soon as he started. I can only fight the tears until
"I'd claw at your heart and I'd tear at your sheet, I'd say please"
Then it's over
Thank you for all you gave us. Dance your way home. X
pretty impressive for an 80yr old.. I hope people are cheering me at that age...
Well my dear, lovely comment however I am 82+ and most people are gone now.
Most humble and righteous man that ever lived Leonard Cohen.
Merci Monsieur Léonard COHEN ! Reposez en paix !
I've been in love with his voice and style of music when I first heard it in the movie Pump Up The Volume with Christian Slater. His voice always makes me want to live some kind of beautiful tango dream in a red dress under a spotlight. His voice is like the soft trickle of warm water gently caressing my soul.
somehow over all the years i have never seen pump up the volume i need to watch it at some point
Damn, what a performer
I will always hold learnard close to my heart forever. He helped me through my loneliest and toughest times in my life ..he was very spiritual and gave light to many in their darkness ...thamkyou for being you and for your natural talent. Always will love you. And miss you now more than ever !!!!
Every man should sing this to his lover.
you made your mark mr. cohen. rest easy.
God this man is INCREDIBLE!
His music pure poetry. So glad I saw him in concert in 2013 at the LG Arena Birmingham..His music will live on.Beautiful man Beautiful soul..loved him..RIP SIR.

Oh, Leonard how you've inspired me...to inspire others. You're MY MAN always! xxoo
Such a gift of a man. It would be an honor to just have had his acquaintance.
I don't know how interesting meeting him would have been. He was such a complicated man.
@@mladybird7852 incredible insight. Were you a close friend by any chance? We all are complicated in our one way or the other....I know, I can be very complex myself...but I consider myself to be a unique and complete expression of human form.
HE MELTS ME AT THE SOUND OF HIS VOICE,,,
This lovely guy just oozes sex appeal His stage presence is second to none. He has his audience in the palm of his
hand.So sensual.
Katherine Cook ooohhhh, Katherine that is enough for one night ! everything you say is true and more. we would all love a man like that I think . Nice to dream though
